Rod of Light
This handy device is constructed from an extendable pole, possibly a microphone stand or tall lamp, and a light bulb. Wiring is run through the interior of the pole from several small batteries to a low wattage light bulb affixed to the top of the pole. A small switch operates the light source and the entire contraption can be shortened or extended from 3’ to 5.5’ and is primarily used as an aid in exploring dark sections of ruins.
This improvised shield is made from an old road sign, a common sight in the new world, however it has been improved by disassembling and attaching stun gun components to the rear so the entire shield can be electrified. If the wielder successfully blocks an opponent's unarmed attack that opponent is affected as if they were attacked with a stun gun. Heavy insulation is required for the arm wielding the shield to prevent the user from suffering the same effects.
