Oblivion ring / detention sphere interaction

Let's say player A steals an oblivion ring from player B using a nightveil spectre and then casts said o-ring.

player B then exiles said o-ring using detention sphere.

Later that same game, player A forces player B to sacrifice a nonland permanent with undercity plague.

If player B chooses to select the detention sphere, does he then get to choose a new target for the oblivion ring?
Next thing you will tell me Browbeat is bad.

Correct spelling of Nightveil Specter.

Yes, when Oblivion Ring enters the battlefield its triggered ability triggers and goes on the stack.  You choose a target for it.

Unfortunately, VCLs do not currently have the tools necessary to take moderation actions directly. VCLs submit their actions to ORCs, who then actually perform the action. This processing can take between a few minutes and several hours, depending on how busy/attentive the ORCs are.

If you see something that needs VCL attention, please use this thread to make a request and a VCL will look at it as soon as possible. CoC violations should be reported to Customer Service using the "report post" button. Please do not disrupt the thread by making requests of either kind in-thread.

While your emoticon denotes a playful response, take note that it does not matter if one spelling of the word "spectre" is preferred or not.  The English name for the card is "Nightveil Specter" and it is spelled as such.

Likewise it does not matter if one spelling of the word "colour" is preferred or not.  The English title for the following book is The Color Purple and not The Colour Purple.
