Total Deck Size: 40
23 Lands
---------------
6 Mountain
8 Plains
6 Swamp
1 Boros Guildgate
2 Orzhov Guildgate

10 Creatures
---------------
1 Aurelia, the Warleader
2 Basilica Guards
1 Obzedat, Ghost Council
1 Syndic of Tithes
1 Syndicate Enforcer
1 Towering Thunderfist
1 Vizkopa Confessor
2 Vizkopa Guildmage

7 Other Spells
---------------
1 Angelic Edict
1 Assemble the Legion
1 Boros Charm
1 Mugging
1 One Thousand Lashes
1 Prophetic Prism
1 Skullcrack

I think with the amount of mana fixing available it is possible ot play both of the bombs given to us.  The deck can stay alive, and stall off of the extort cards and the fair amount of removal.  Once either of the guild leaders hit the floor it will normally be game over.

Total Deck Size: 40
18 Lands
---------------
6 Forest
7 Island
3 Mountain
1 Gruul Guildgate
1 Simic Guildgate

16 Creatures
---------------
1 Adaptive Snapjaw
1 Cloudfin Raptor
1 Crocanura
1 Deathcult Rogue

1 Experiment One
2 Frilled Oculus
1 Incursion Specialist
1 Leyline Phantom
1 Metropolis Sprite
1 Ruination Wurm
1 Rust Scarab
1 Shambleshark
1 Wasteland Viper
1 Zhur-Taa Swine

6 Other Spells
---------------
1 Hydroform
1 Mugging
1 Pit Fight
1 Prophetic Prism
1 Scatter Arc
1 Urban Evolution

This was a difficult pool. I tried to make either Orzhov or Boros, to use the bombs, but the decks were poor. I tried to combine them into a 3 color but the deck was strange, the main reason being that the common color (white) was the weakest of the 3. It's then I noticed blue and green were both quite strong, and I tried making Simic. In the end I had to make a splash, even after using all blue cards except Skygames, all Simic cards except Biovisionary, and all good green cards. I choose red over black for the splash, although black could have been good too.

This deck is fast, faster than any Boros or Gruul decks that could have been made with this pool. This is manly due to the "firebreathing" creatures, i.e. the Metropolis Sprite and the 2 Frilled Oculus, and to the low cost evolve creatures. What I especially like is the Leyline Phantom; you can cast it over and over again each turn to evolve your creatures as much as you need.
My first instinct when I saw this pool was to think about how someone's going to try to play both Aurelia and Obzedat.  I don't think you can stretch the mana that far.  Obzedat with splashed Assemble the Legion?  That I thought I could do.

Orzhov and Simic seemed to have the strongest creature bases.  Boros looked miserable with how few creatures it had access to, same with Gruul.  Dimir is in the middle, but does not have the premium removal suite that I look for in Dimir.  Simic looked fine, but I went with double-bomb Orzhov.

There's quite a few subpar cards in my list.  Syndicate Enforcer would be much more welcome as a two-drop extorter.  Shielded Passage is no Smite.  I'm including the Mugging because otherwise we only have the Edict and Lashes to defend against oppressive Guildmages.  Without much incidental mill or top-tier targeted removal like Grissly Spectacle, I made the Primordial sit bench.  I think I'm ok with this deck, and it has a lot of business at the two-drop (which I like), but it's far from an optimal take on the archetype.

@Kadsuki: I think it's a mistake to cut the Biovisionary in a Simic deck.  He's no high draft pick, but he is a highly castable 2/3 for three if you're in Simic.  That'll trigger some evolves and help thwart the more aggressive Boros offense.  I'd play a solid, if unexciting creature with irrelevant rules text over a very specialized spell that is often just a blank.  You have two such cards in your deck: Hydroform and Scatter Arc.  I'd be more likely to keep the Scatter Arc because it is strong when you use it to handle a removal spell.  Otherwise I think you have an excellent list with effective splashes.  Big dumb cards with a single red in the casting cost are great for Simic to keep the evolve train chugging.
I think Boros is the trap in this pool. There aren't enough creatures for Boros and so it is unplayable.  pure Orzhov is also not good because of the lack of extort cards (only 5). So we need another plan. My idea is Orzhov with a light red splash (without Aurelia) Assemble the legion + court street denizen combo, deathcult rogue + shadow slice combo may work fine, and Obzedat is a solid bomb. This combination has 5 removals so all may go well...

I realized after I made this that I'd accidentally written of Deathcult once I decided on not Dimir, but I totally could've and should've included it here. anyway I got a bit greedy on the splash but with the guildgates and the prism I think it's okay.

why are you here when NGA exists and is just better

I choose boros and orzhov. There are good rares. It is a little slow deck. So i put 18 lands in it.

Yup Aurelia is too greedy but assemble is a good splash. This pool is very creature light, orzhov provides the only 2 drops so you dont just die on turn 4. If you can survive one of the bomb should take over the game

The mana is fine. Red is just a splash and the 3 guildgates plus the proph prism help alot. Think of your rats as removal spells. Trade alot in the early game and enjoy your bombs.

I only wish I had sligtly better removes and more creatures, but I think the 3 madcap skills make it worth it.

Have you read Ishmael? "Teacher seeks pupil, must have an earnest desire to save the world."
supersuper fast RUG deck, it's based on 1 and 2 creatures drops, and with 3 madcap skills it should take over the board in a really short time
(of course funnier than the slow orzhow/boros bomb deck)

Greed is good! 3 guildgates + prism can support all the bombs and Orzov agro as main plan  can win you lot of games.

To the surprise of absolutely NOONE I am playing greedy-guts Borzhov Bombs.  Normally I abhor an even split on lands, however I believe we have enough fixing here that we get a sufficient number of each color land.

I'm hoping my extort and removal can see me through the early game so I can drop any number of my bombs late game.

I really wish this was a real life sealed pack so I could take Obzedat home...I need two for my Orzhov deck.

Despite the wonky color base and the high profile, high cmc bombs the curve is actually quite decent.

From Mark Rosewater's Tumblr: the0uroboros asked: How in the same set can we have a hexproof, unsacrificable(not a word) creature AND a land that makes it uncounterable. How does this lead to interactive play? I believe I’m able to play my creature and you have to deal with it is much more interactive than you counter my creature.

***************************************************************************************

MaRo: One of the classic R&D stories happened during a Scars of Mirrodin draft. Erik Lauer was sitting to my right (meaning that he passed to me in the first and third packs). At the end of the draft, Erik was upset because I was in his colors (black-green). He said, "Didn't you see the signals? I went into black-green in pack one." I replied, "Didn't you see my signals? I started drafting infect six drafts ago."

MaRo: I redesigned him while the effect was on the stack.

I built what most people also built - Borzhov

It's very greedy. I'd have to see how Round 1 went, and then make adjustments accordingly. I probably could use 2 more creatures and 2 fewer spells.

Honestly, the best thing I could see was Orzhov splash blue. I like how the mana curve worked out and somehow I managed to get the exact amount of cards I wanted. I wanted to go Boros, but there weren't enough red cards. I was kinda upset about that because they had so much removal that I wanted to use. So I tried to make the best of what I got.
Note: This is the first time I have ever built a sealed deck, so it probably isn't good. I'm a pretty new player when it comes to limited, so I'm trying to practice as much as I can.

Boros was too creature light so I went Orzhov, but felt splashing Red would be too challenging, so I went straight W/B

Maybe I should have added the 2nd Shadow Slice but I went with the Gutter Skulk instead.  Heavy on white creatures because of double Court Street Denizen.  Bye-bye blockers, any extra damage you can do from attacks is bonus as you are trying to extort for the win.  Would like more than 5, but eh, what can you do...

I went Bombzhov.  Totally greedy, but beginning with orzhov and extort, I tried to add creatures that would get me to the late game and my bombs.  We have so much fixing.  Aurelia is probably a mulligan, but with the guildgate, prism, and mountains?  The 14th card is T7 anyway.  This deck wants to block for it's removal, which should also lead to extort.  If the opps want to hold of to play around, that also gets us to the late game.  Simic would be WAY faster, but also looks way better than it is with only one Raptor.  That's the 1 drop you want.
