[$ = Win] Is it true nowadays?

While I don't think money buys skill, I definitely think money increases your chances of winning. I mean, my control deck is pretty good but it would be much better with 4x Snapcaster Mage in it. How much better? $20 a Snapcaster better.

There is certainly a base amount of money that has to be thrown at a deck before it can even be considered competitive.

EDH decks I play:

Kaalia (the beats)

Zur (disgusting combo)

Damia (Bug Elf deck)

Numot (Stax)

Griselbrand (French)

Ghave (Uber combo)

Muzzio (Oops, Blightsteel)

yes and no, money does let you get better cards, but if you dont know how to use them it doesnt do any good,  ive been beaten by decks that used very little money, even ones full of nothing but uncommons and commons. so it depends on the person, not the money

I definitely beat some nice decks with my Naya Blitz deck that has only uncommons and a few 50 cent rares in it.

I'm just saying that it's pretty hard to beat someone whit great cards who has practiced a bit of the deck's strategy and knows how to deal with different archetypes.

Skill>money, i've had my $100 dollar gruul aggro deck beat many a deck that cost double then it or more. I know what people are going to say that aggro doesn't take skill to use but it does take skill, it's more than just turn dudes sideways.
