Okay, say I have a Consuming Aberration on the field. Is it possible to copy his second ability using one or more Rings of Brighthearth(s)?

And Also, can I use Rings of Brighthearth to copy instant/sorcery effects, such as Glimpse the Unthinkable or Traumatize?

Thankie! ^_^
[C]Rings of Brighthearth[/c] can only copy activated abilities, which always use the formatting of "[Cost]:[Effect]" (look for the colon). [C]Consuming Aberration[/c]'s triggered ability cannot be copied here.

Instants and sorceries are not activated abilities, so they aren't copied by the Rings, either.
No, and no. Rings of Brighthearth only triggers when you use an activated ability. Consuming Aberration does not have such an ability--it has a triggered ability. Spells like Glimpse the Unthinkable and Traumatize are not abilities at all, and certainly not activated ones.

Because frankly, being here depresses me these days.

No on all counts. Rings of Brighthearth can only copy activated abilities. Those are the abilities formulated in the form CostEffect.
Consuming Aberration's second ability is a triggered ability since it begins with the word Whenever. Other triggered abilities begin with the words At or When.
Traumatize is a spell card. Spells are not abilities.
Alrighty, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks, everyone.
