Warlock Powers - sustained effects

Hello all,

Warlocks from Player's Handbook have several spells like curse of the Bloody Fangs, Crown of Madness, Thirsting Maw, etc, that allow additional effects if sustained. My question is: do you need line or sight or line of effect to the target to make that happen? Example: Curse of the Bloody Fangs, 1d10 to target and adjacent ones if you take a sustained minor action. Do you need to currently see  the targets? what happens if they cover behind a wall, effectively broking line of effect? would then the effect still apply?

Thanks all.

FYI All those powers have been updated with Compendium article on 08/12/2011 and don't have Sustain line anymore. In most case line of effect to the target should be required.

For exemple, Curse of the Bloody Fangs now reads:

Curse of the Bloody Fangs   Warlock Attack 5
You call up a pack of ferocious, phantasmal beasts from the darkest and
most savage depths of the Feywild. Only their slavering fangs appear in this world,
snapping and rending in a mad frenzy at the foe you have cursed.
Daily  ArcaneImplement
Standard Action      Ranged 10
Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d10 + Charisma modifier damage.
Miss: Half damage.
Effect: The target is subjected to bloody fangs (save ends). Until the effect ends,
you can use a minor action once per round, starting on your next turn, to deal 1d10
damage to the target and each of your enemies adjacent to it.

Ok, line of effect needed. That clarifies things a lot. Thank you!
