meh i'll watch when they start fighting to the death...amd toss in some weapons or animals....
Maybe. Aldo looked pretty boring against Edgar. If Petis manages to not get injured before the fight, it should be a good fight.
The jump makes a lot of sense for Pettis. He had the next shot at 155 but had to wait. He didn't want to and that makes sense. And that's why he's qualified for the shot whether Aldo likes it or not. Pettis is so strong even at 55 that I can see Aldo being a bit concerned. If he cuts right he'll be a problem at 45. dood has some sick power, speed and crazy ability.
Yeah, it makes sense for Pettis to drop down to get a shot at a belt. Still, even if he wins he will eventually end up moving back up to 155. Besides, I think it would be more interesting, and generate more money, to see a Pettis VS Henderson rematch. Pettis being the last guy to beat Henderson, and showing off that awesome off the fence face kick, would be much more entertaining than seeing Pettis VS Aldo.
And yeah, Aldo should be afraid. Pettis has ridiculous speed, stamina, power, and fighting skills. Really, who else is there at 145 for Aldo to fight?
I bet Bendo is happy Pettis decided not to wait. ;) The timing may work out well enough for Pettis to have both fights. It'd be pretty sweet to see him try to hold two belts at once. And he could do it, too.
Umm ... Faber?Show
He probably could. The guy is talented as all hell.
Did you see the 156 post-press conference? Aldo said his toughest opponent was Faber. Aldo wrecked Faber. They have picks and videos of Faber after the fight with Aldo where Faber is using crutches to hoble a few feet. Hell, Edgar did way better against Aldo than Faber ever did.
So, I was reading some article about how it isn't enough to just be the guy winning all your fight fights to be given a title shot at the champ. You also have to sell yourself, like Sonnen has done. Apperantly there is some guy named Lamas at 145 who is undefeated and is supposed to be the guy who was supposed to fight Aldo next, but as Sonnen mentioned in the article, I only just heard the guy's name.
