Question about creatures dying

Scenario: I have a Runed Servitor and a Cathodion on the battlefield and attacking. My opponent has a Spined Thopter and a Rootwater Diver equipped with a Vulshok Morningstar on the battlefield, and blocks the Servitor with the Thopter and the Cathodion with the Diver. In that scenario, everything dies.

1. As I understand it, my opponent can't sacrifice his Diver before damage resolves to save his Thopter, since if the Thopter goes to the graveyard it does so after the point where he could do this.

2. If the top card of my library is a Tooth of Chiss-Goria, I believe I can use the Servitor's ability to draw it and the Cathodion's ability to play it, because I can choose what order the death triggers resolve.

Am I right on these points? If not, please explain how it actually goes down. Thanks!
1. correct.

2. it doesn't matter in which order the deathtriggers resolve
the end result is always that you will draw Tooth of Chiss-Goria and have in your pool

... and I'd have to use that 3 mana before the end of the combat phase, or lose it, correct? So I could only use it to power instant spells, activated abilities, or permanents with Flash?
you have to use the in the combat damage step, or lose it

You would have to use it before the end of the combat damage step. You couldnt use it any later in the combat phase. (since M10 mana pools empty at the end of each step as well as each phase)

That makes no sense to me. If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed? ~ Tim
Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch. YAY COLOR IDENTITY

I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.
