Card Legality

Standard Heirloom is a format that bases its card legality on the following sets: RtR, ISD, DKA, AVR, and M13 and on the price value found at mtgotraders.com every month or so. The legality range is as follows:

Mythic: 0.01 to 1.00
Rare: 0.01 to 0.40
Uncommon: 0.01 to 0.20
Common: 0.01 to 0.10

The list of legal cards is static, and is updated approximately 2 weeks after each set release. Heirloom Legal Card List as of 10/28/12 can be found here: Heirloom Legality List.

Another tool for finding legal cards and checking an entire deck for legality can be found here: Heirloom Legality Checker.

Emergency Banned Cards:
Rhox Faithmender
Ulvenwald Tracker
Rancor

Tournament Structure

Registration will take place through the /join heirloomresults channel. It is every player's responsibility to make sure that all their cards are legal in the format. If an illegal card is found in a player's deck, that player must concede that match and replace the card(s) with basic lands. If a player is unable to do this, they will be disqualified from the tournament.

Event will be a number of swiss rounds followed by a cut and single elimination playoff. The number of rounds is determined by the number of players.

8-15: 3 rounds of swiss with a top 4 cut
16-23: 3 rounds of swiss with a top 8 cut
24 or more: 4 rounds of swiss with a top 8 cut

Matches will take place in the Anything Goes room and must be constucted as follows:
30 Minutes Standard Watchable Labeled as "Standard Heirloom Round __" Best 2 out of 3
is this a Standad format tournament? Plus the legal cards?
Yeah, the format is Standard, with the added limitation that you can only play Heirloom legal cards.
Hi I was going to enter this but I saw that GTC is not part of your format editor yet? When is your next scheduled update both for new sets and price-wise (it says my Izzet Charm and Izzet Guildgate are illegal despite them both being well under the limits specified in this thread on mtgotraders)?

I'll update card legality (which will also include GTC cards) the following tuesday, so next week we will already be able to play with GTC. (BTW, next week Friday's event will be a 60c Heirloom Standard Singleton.)

Is that .60 for the whole deck? Or no single card can be worth more than .60?

By 60c Singleton I meant 60 cards Singleton

Card legality will be as usual - you will be able to check whether a card is legal using this checker, which will be updated on Tuesday: jpdefault.comuv.com/heirloom/

Ah cool, I was wondering whymy GTC common cards were ilegal, I'll be looking for updates and joining the event for next friday
Heya All...

OK, as you know I use velcro instead of shoelaces so, (with that in mind) can you just make it clear:

It's 60 single cards? Think this is obvious so don't bother to answer this one but...

Are Side Decks an option?

Thanks for even reading; I'm due my 3rd nap of the day now!

Andy
The deck should consist of minimum 60 cards, and you can only play a single copy of one card (except basic lands of course).

I'm still waiting for MTGO Traders to send me a new legality list, that's why there hasn't been a thread yet. If I don't get it by tomorrow, we will go with an old list for one more week.
Oh, and yeah, sideboards are allowed.
Mihahitlor, this week is 60c Sinleton right?

Hope list will be updated, otherwise I have to remove lots of cards from my Singleton deck or maybe have to change it to other colors

Yup, this week is 60c Singleton. I also hope I get the list by tomorrow, otherwise we will just have to go with the old one for this week, since otherwise there won't be enough time to build decks.
It's probably just me getting this wrong but...I've tried to Submit tomorrow's Std Singleton deck and, while I was there, Saturday's Lor Block deck.

Firstly, Gatherling's suggesting Oona's Prowler and Murderous Redcap are unavailable for selection when they were last week and...
Secondly, the legality checker seems to be down.

I'm assuming that there's no change to the card pool yet, although that doesn't explain the two rogue cards (Prowler and Redcap) being stopped.

Only saying to avoid problems over the weekend!

Andy
Hi,
there is a new list in place already, and both Murderous Redcap and Oona's Prowler are not legal this time (first being 0.24$, and second 0.47$). Murderous Redcap PRM price is  0.14$, but I haven't included Promo cards (with the exception of a couple mythics which were in stock) or cards from the other special sets, because sometimes those cards aren't in stock for a long time so the price is incorrectly low, and I can't check for each card whether it's in stock or not.

Legality checker is indeed down (when I loaded a new list it broke, need to get in touch with Naproxen about it), so the spreadsheet and ctr+f are your best friends in the meantime: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ap0...
Also, I've checked the deck you submitted and some cards you play aren't legal (as you can see if you check the legality list). I thought the Gatherling uses the Classic Heirloom banlist for checking both Standard and Classic Heirloom legality (Chris used to take care of this stuff), but apparently you need to make two separate filters. The correct Standard Heirloom legal list is now applied on Gatherling, but your illegal deck still showed as a legal since you submitted it before my change, so I've deleted it.

You will have to resubmit it and make some changes so that it will be legal. Sorry about that.
