It would be great if we knew what guilds are doing the best.  Who won at your prelelease?  If you placed, what was your pool?  What was in your deck?  It would be nice to see what to expect from certain guilds.  Please show pics if you have your pool still intact.

At my 24 person prerelease, Orzhov won.

As for my deck, I don't recount exactly what I put in it, but just that it was a naya deck that averaged 3,1 cmc per card.
Did you have boros or Gruul?

I had Boros and splashed green for Ghor-Clan Rampager and 3 other bloodrushers.
Boros appears to be the strongest based one all the reports I've seen. It put 7 people in the top 10 of a 70+ man event.
Etiamnunc sto, etiamsi caelum ruat.
48-Man Event:

1.  Boros
2.  Dimir(Splash White)
3.  Orzhov(Splash Blue)
4.  Gruul(This was my placing)
5.  Boros

After taht I don't really know.  I know that boros did fairly well, although was not unbeatable with about half the Boros players placing rather high and the other half in the abysmal depths of the below.

I played a mid-range Gruul deck with 3 Disciple of the Old Ways and 3 Scab-Clan Charger that carried me hard in many games.  Desceptively powerful cards.  Threw in two Madcap Skills.  Lackluster removal, however the combat tricks proved to function very similar to removal most of the time.

Rubblebelt Raiders and Legion Loyalist proved to be absolute bombs most of the time, and is brutal when you have both on the battlefield.  That said, these cards only came out in something like 3 or four games.  Most games were decided by my common/uncommon bloodrushers, particularly the two cards noted above.

Another advice: Remember Holy Mantle? Remember how everyone was dissapointed when they saw it?

Well it's a bomb that wins games, so there.

Considering how combat oriented this set is, I can believe it.  That would absolutely wreck house.

Another one in a similar vein (Although not a bomb) was Millennial Gargoyle.  There are very few decent flyers in the set, and I saw this carry quite a few games (A couple of mine included).  Considering how conditional most of the removal is, it's a very solid flyer that enables a lot.  Infact, everybody in the top 5 had at least one in their maindeck, and I saw many people who could have benefited greatly from it leave it in their unused pool.  Turned out to be quite the useful creature, considering how harsh its ICD treatment was.
Boros won at my LGS, but the 1st place guy got Aurelia, Firemane, Spark Trooper, 2 SunhomeGuildmages and a Trufire Paladin, and a couple of Boros charms, and enough crap to fill the rest of his deck as he went undefeated. Second place ran Boros as well, and splashed green I think. The rest of the top 8 were a mix of Boros/Gruul/Simic, with the occasional splash of black. No Dimir or Orzhov deck placed in top 8, though decent cards from those guilds made appearances in otherwise good decks.

I ran Naya, an almost equal mix of WGR, because my Boros pack sucked and my Gruul cards weren't quite enough, so I had to mix. It was effective, but getting mana screwed cost me a couple matches. If i hit my first four land drops, I won. That was how powerful those colors were; you didn't need much to win, and I did without rares in play or in hand in some of the games I won.

Bloodrush+Double strike means doom for your opponent, and 4 mana got that done easily...
If I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, I still believe I'm right. Think of it as religion. dubito ergo sum.
My own personal rankings based on how I did were as follows:

*Boros (splashing blue)
*Dimir (splashing white)
*Gruul (splashing black)
*Simic (splashing black)
*Orzhov (splashing blue)

I really didn't get a lot of good control spells to enable extort.

I only know second and third place, and we both were boros.

Although, he had a firemane, reckoner, and auriela's fury, and i had reckoner, spark trooper, and a couple charms.

And all will know the wonder of my dark and jeweled sky, when all the world is wrapped in an eternal lullaby.

That...is shocking luck. I mean, I had spark trooper myself, and 2 charms, but.....a fury and a reckoner?! In sealed?! He was 2nd/3rd place?!

40 Man Event

1. Boros splash G(Me)

2. Simic splash R

3. Orshov splash B

4.  Boros

5. Gruul/Simic

I really rode [C]Bomber Corps[/C], [C]Sunhome Guildmage[/C], and [C]Court Street Denizen[/C], just pumping out white and red haste tokens and tapping down threats. [C]Molten Prmiordial[/C] really impressed in a limited format as well. But from what i could see from most players was that the card of the night was [C]Smite[/C]. The removal in the set isn't great, but this card just wrecked people, especially Gruul Bloodrush nonsense.

Boros won our event, but the guy had so many bomb rares and Aurelia's fury to boot. However, the best guild in IMHO: Dimir. I didn't even have that good of a sealed deck and I did well and that is with ample land screwage. I felt Orzhov was the weakest actually.

At mine top 4 just went for a draw between all
I was simic
One was grull
One was Orzov had 2 thrulls, ghost councel, and 2 or 3 other good rares for his colors
and unsure about the last one
40 man, top 4 Boros.
Don't remember exactly how many showed up, but it was quite a few, the prerelease had been sold out since Thursday, or so. However, I do remember who won.

1st - Boros (splashing green, I believe)
2nd - Me, also Boros
3rd - Simic
4th - Gruul

There was a tie, really, between 1st and 2nd and between 3rd and 4th, we actually just went 5 rounds of swiss with no top cut, and both I and the winner went undefeated. This was my deck, I believe.

Sealed Deck

16 Creatures

7 Spells
[deck]2 Furious Resistance
1 Smite
2 Martial Glory
1 Arrows of Justice
1 Mark for Death[/deck]

17 Lands
[deck]3 Boros Guildgate
8 Plains
6 Mountain[/deck]
I played dimir at the prerelease and they did a lot better than I had anticipated, their promo was almost impossible to get off the board once it hit and it basically won the game a lot of the time; as for who won of the 5 guilds? I have no Idea, for some reason I went against 3 separate  decks 3 times in a row before I flipped the table and went home, god the extort mechanic is agrivatingly annoying, going against a deck at a prerelease is like playing against a deck that was designed by accountants or anyone that works at the DMV... i'd say is a lot better off then anyone had anticipated...
Orzhov was the top winner in our 30 players. I on the other hand, did not do so well... I had great Orzhov midrange bombs, but not much survivability to get there. Most of my other cards were Gruul.
Played Gruul, I got my box has alot of mid to late game bombs and next to Nothing for early game that would work for Gruul no guildmages [got early game orzhov >.> and like 1 Cloudfin raptor and shamleshark[splashed U] and no boros outside of a 4 drop. Ended up gettting mana screwed on my 3 losses.
2-3
Played against 3 Gruul mirrors. won against 2[2-0 and 2-1] and last to the 3rd due to splash of boros 1-2 , lost against simic R splash 1-2, and lost to Dmir 1-2
I  got 3 Skargg Goliath one was in the guildpack, 1 was foiled was in same pack as my Stomping Grounds, and other one was plan, 2 [c]Ruination worm,  1  Borborygmos Enraged and a few others also got Stomping grounds.

Anyways it was a 25-man. Boros and Orzhov sold out. Someone who got boros got alot of money cards[like $60+ worth according to someone who seen his pulls include Aurelia's fury[c] and [c]Domri rade

1st: Boros
2nd: Boros
not sure on  3-5
6th Gruul
7th Boros
not sure on 8th.

Gruul absolutely wrecked at the prerelease I went to.

But then again, about half the people were playing Gruul, so it's to be expected.
Top two were Boros at my prerelease.

It might be because Boros is the guild that benefits most from the guild pack (then it has a critical mass of battalion creatures). In a draft or a regular sealed when they're more scarce it might not dominate so hard.
Boros won; Dimir came in second (me :D).
It was mainly Boros and Simic in the top slots.

Unfortunately, our 25ish person prerelease was pretty skewed. Tons of Simic and Boros, then 3 Dimir, 2 Orzhov, and 2 Gruul.
Played in two pre-releases Orzhov both times.
In the first one (Friday midnight)I got only 5 extort cards total, but a ton of removal, but splashed blue and managed to win 2 of the 3 rounds (lost in round 1 to Boros player who got all the good Boros commons and uncommons, won against another Orzhov deck that splashed blue and a Dimir deck that splashed black).
The second one I did today (Saturday 2:00pm) got a crazy pull: Ghost Dad out the of the guild pack, Deathpact Angel, and Alms Beast out of two random boosters plus three of the guild mages. Won round 1 against another Orzhov deck (new player ran 60 cards in his deck, even though the store announced 3 times that the minnimum was 40 cards most of the new players to pre-release still build 60 card decks), won round 2 against Dimir deck that has a lot of good mill, but too few creatures, and won final round against Simic with splash of red that got too few creatures the first gaem and no blue lands the second game.
1st place: Orzhov splast red
2nd place: Boros, guy had two firemane avengers
I came in 9th (4-2) playing orzhov splashing red for boros charm and foundry champion.
At my 40 man prerelease, Boros took 1st with an undefeated record. The next 4 players all tieds, which contained 1 Dimir (ME!!!), 2Orzhov, and 1 Jank(I don't know how this guy was winning with 4 colors :/)

My opinion on top cards: Holy Mantle this card wrecked me. Bad. Crypt Ghast was fantastic ramp and the Extort saved my butt a few times even though I was Dimir. Dimir's Promo is the most deadly promo out there. Boros has a lot of removal and psuedo-removal it seems.

Gruul was terrible for me. I destroyed them so quick. Orzhov seemed to do the worst except for one guy who got really good cards from his packs, and I take back what I said about Cipher. Although some cards are still terrible like Last Thoughts alot of them are amazing. The threat they pose forced Boros players to change tactics, Gruul players to wait on Bloodrushing, and Orzhov suddenly had to race.

Simic seems the weakest in my experience.
I took 2nd at a 40 man event running simic without a splash. The cards I was most impressed by were Cloudfin Raptor and Adaptive Snapjaw. The raptor especially was a real workhorse, but another card that really turned out great was Leyline Phantom. Every time it hit I got to replay and trigger evolve on all my dudes again! The only on-color rares I used were Simic Manipulator and Diluvian Primordial and the primordial really closes games out fast by pulling their best spell out and slapping them with it. Againt boros I boarded in all my Clinging Anemones and that seemed to take care of the guys my fliers couldn't block. Hardest match up by far was Orzhov, my only loss came against a guy running tons of extort and cheap spells, couldn't hurt him fast enough and he drained me to death without attacking.
A friend and I just got done with a 2HG sealed prerelease event, and we placed 6th out of 30 pairs, having only lost once. I ran Orzhov with only extort and removal, and he ran Gruul with some white for Aurelia and a couple other tricks. It worked really well since most of my extorters were decent on defense and he had some big-backed reach guys to defend us while he built, and the opposition could never get a foothold on the battlefield because I removed just about everything that seemed problematic. Extort was great since it hits both opponents, for a total loss of two and gain of two, for just one extra mana. With three extort guys out, I could cast Smite and kill a creature and cause 6 life loss to their total and gain six for us. It was just nasty. Our one loss was basically to a mirror match, the only differences being a few rares and the like. We did great, got packs, and most importantly, had a great time.

Lesson to be learned: Orzhov and Gruul for 2HG, so neither player is trying to take the colors of the other deck and you can make solid, consistant decks....and then Extort for the win.
If I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, I still believe I'm right. Think of it as religion. dubito ergo sum.
Another advice: Remember Holy Mantle? Remember how everyone was dissapointed when they saw it?

Well it's a bomb that wins games, so there.

Who in their right mind would consider +2/+2 semi-indestructible + unblockable bad for limited???

Seriously?

===========

In any case, I can't wait for the actual drafts without the guildpacks to see the real power of the guilds in drafts.
42-person event
1. Dimir (insane pulls)
2. Orzhov
3. Boros
^These were all undefeated.
4. Dimir (splash white for Gideon and Deathpact)
5.Orzhov

8-man event
1. Boros
2. Boros (me)

45-man event
1. Orzhov
2. Boros
3. Gruul

In the first one, I placed 9th with 3-1, my only loss to fourth. I played heavy Extort Orzhov.
Favorite set: Arabian Nights Favorite planeswalker: Taysir, the One Made of Five Favorite book cycle: Ice Age Favorite creature type(s): Elephant (W), Minotaur (R), Shade (B), Spider (G), Cephalid (U) Myr (Artifact) Pauper: Monoblack Control Modern: Zombie Tribal; Unyaro Stax Cube: The Moons of Mirrodin
I took second as Orzhov with a small red splah (Aurelia's Fury and like 3 other cards), first was Boros and third was another Orzhov. However, it was a smaller, second rotation of 28 people compared to the first. There was only one Simic and one Gruul, around 5 Dimir and the rest were Boros and Orzhov, with Orzhov having a bit more, so the results are more than a little skewed. Extort plays really well and Alms Beast is a monster. Did surprisingly well despite opening two enter the Infinite in my sealed pool.

I played Boros. Won my first three games, lost 4th to the evenntual Simic winner and lost my fifth to a fellow Boros player who pulled Aurelia and a foil Aurelia's Fury. 22 Players and most popular guild was Simic by far.

1. Simic
2. Boros
3. Simic
4. Simic
Sounds like Boros dominated. Well everyone was right...

I took second as Orzhov with a small red splah ( well and [c]Alms Beast is a monster. Did surprisingly well despite opening two enter the Infinite in my sealed pool.

Sorry for the losy pull...but I hope you took my advice on alms!

My pool was a small <20 man event with only 1 dimir, 2 orzhov, 1 simic, 2 gruul, and everyone else running boros.

1st = dimir (didn't get the pleasure to play him....but he was playing detain w/ cipher until he dropped the promo bomb) 4-0

2nd = orzhov (heavy common extort...no bombs that i saw) 3-1

3rd = gruul me (one raider at rare was a bomb, and I got a 2nd rubblehulk, but didn't run it) 3-1

4th = boros (angel, foundry, and full of small aggressive 3/2 and flying 2/2 for 2cc drops

Boros was certainly a force...but if you anticipated their gameplan, it was pretty easy to defeat.  God how mugging DESTROYS boros!  If you can interrupt their early game and get them to trade creatures, or burn them off to keep them off of battalion and keep your life over 10 until mid game, their bomby angel was useless as a 3/4 defender against my 7/6 worms.  Game 1 when I couldn't burn boros early....I was VERY quickly destroyed by the angel and a team swinging for 22 damage on turn 6  Boros was certainly powerful as expected, but not unstoppable.
I don't remember the exact placings of them, but the top 8 at my 81 pre-release were mostly boros and gruul, one orzhov was up in there. I was in the top 30 with Dimir, and every game I lost I had the opponent sweating. (Stating this because I had entered as Dimir expecting to do far worse than I did. As someone allready mentioned, the promo is a game-ender, and I opened a second one in my packs.) And while Boros had a decent positioning in the high rankings, the majority of them were in the lower 50%. Simic and Gruul were mostly mid-high placements. Whilst Orzhov ended up being fairly evenly spread across the map.

(As a side note, Boros made up ~30 of our 81 player pre-release.)
Boros won the prerelease I attended. Lots of copies of the strong 2 drops and a pair of firemanes. The shop only did 40 minute rounds, and didn't have a round clock others could see, so I feel like aggro had an unfair advantage. I had THREE games go to time and I was playing Gruul splashing Simic so it's not the most durdley deck. That was a downer and definitely hurt my prize payout (3-2-1)

On the positive side I conceded to two friends and that helped put Simic and Dimir in the top 8! I believe every one else in the T8 was boros or orzhov, with 3-4 being boros and 1st and 2nd.
My forum good deeds. Fortunately, left unpunished:

I played Gruul in the first flight, won my first round but had mana issues the next two (just straight up lack of lands or flooding, wasn't being a 3 color or greedy) and dropped after becoming a 1-2 and out of prize contention.

I had planned on playing Orzhov or Dimir second flight, and was lucky enough to sit down and watch one of the older players who really knew how to build decks teach a newer player how to fix his Orzhov pool, and how to play it.  I went Orzhov second flight, and hoo boy.

Extort extort, extort.

I had 9 Extort creatures I ended up running (I cut 4 syndicate enforcers simply because I had better things to do at 4 mana), 6 of which were 3 mana or less.

I was always planning the usage of my mana 3 turns in advance, extort exort extort.   My opponents would be like "attack!"  and I would be like okay I don't give a crap.  Next turn I would recoup most of my loss, and eventually they began to have to leave the small guys back as my Basilica Guards clogged the ground.  At which point I started using the two smite I had in my deck.   They lose an attacker, the Gruul player even bloodrushed against me twice before becoming VERY afraid of bloodrushing after I had instant speed removal two turns in a row (only two instants I had, but the fear in his eyes was priceless in every attack step after that).

Round 3, I was up against Boros.  First game the guy got a couple of small guys out and then got mana screwed/drew all his big stuff.  Next game was probably the most complicated and intense game of magic I have played in awhile.  There were 4 consecutive turns with 20 point life swings.  I had a Wight of Precinct Six with a Gift of Orzhova and a Holy Mantle on it.  But he dropped the 4WW angel that lets you choose an ability every combat step (lifelink/vigilance/fs), and he was choosing lifelink and attacking in with a Rust Scarab + the Angel.  I couldn't block the rust scarab to use smite on it since the ability would still trigger.  I eventually got him down to one life with the swings, and then on the next attack I used smite and extorted to one to finish him off.  He called for a judge to make sure everything went down correctly, and in the process of redoing the attack for the judge we realized one of his guys was a pinger that had lifelink so he was actually at 2 not 1.   So the game went on for another 3 turns before I finally topdecked some removal to kill his angel and then he pulled nothing that could kill my 11/11 pro-creatures flying lifelink creature over the next two turns.

It was around 10pm at that point, and I had been doing this since noon, so I drew with the my round 4 opponent to split the packs (4 round tournament, prizes based on record, not standings).  Walked away with 11 packs, 2 of which contained shocks.  So after a rough start earlier in the day Orzhov pulled through for me.

I think around 4 out of the top 10 were Orzhov, with no Dimir, and the rest Gruul/Boros, with one random mostly Simic, but splashing for sick bombs.  One of the Gruul guys had had to call the judge over as he was opening his pool so the judge could confirm to his opponents that yes, he did in fact open 3 mythics, all in his colors, with 4 other rares in his colors (one was the promo).  2 Hellkites, Bourbawhatever, Rubblehulk, Rubblehulk promo, Gyre Sage (I had watched him open the packs and was remarking as he opened pack 6 he really needed some mana ramp... the pack delivered.), and  don't remember the others... it was pretty sick.
Boros did really bad at my prerelease, and Orzhov wrecked face. I went Orzhov, pulled a Ghost Council in my Prerelease pack and got 5th out of 31. The life advantage is just crazy. Most other people who didn't run Orzhov ran Simic or Dimir and did alright. I think only one person ran Grull. (Minus splashing red for thngs like Domri Rade)
I played two flights on Saturday. First flight I played Boros splash black after pulling ghost council, spark trooper, and firemane avenger. With that I went undefeated with other Boros variants at the next two spots. Second flight I pulled a Aurelia's fury and another spark trooper and went 4-1. This time around I went more for the battalion using many 2-3 drops with it. Overall at my FLGS Boros was by far the winner with dimir doing the worse.  First flight was 72 participants and third was roughly 60.
I went to 2 prerelease events at 2 different stores. At the first one, 6 out of the top 8 were Boros with the winner being Boros. With the event at the second store, 4 out of the top 8 were Boros with me being the winner & playing Boros. So, obviously from what I experienced I'd say Boros is by far the best.
I played dimir at our store and won 1st of 14. We had a couple dimir, mostly orzhov and Boros. 1 person played simic and one person playing gruul. My record was 4-1 with the loss being to another dimir deck...since my rogues could be blocked. I'm looking forward to building a more control type deck in standard based on my dimir experience at the event.
