Noooooo Sia Len Wezz......:(

I just read Star Wars Purge Comic, and found those @$$ holes killed off Sia Lan Wezz of the old d20 RPG book and the RCR. She died at the hands of Vader in the most stupidest way possible. Seriously, WTH?

Do the Dark Horse people hate the rpg? Suddenly, I am glad they got their SW license yanked from under them.

And in MY SW setting, Sia Lan lives on, as does the sly Deel Surool!

May the Force be with them, always. :salute:

Haven't read the comic, but at least she got a shout out.

I prefer it like that.

Except its pretty much been retconned that Yoda was wrong. There were other Jedi who survived Order 66 and the Purge. They were just hidden and doing their own thing.

Ofcourse, I'm jst saying. If you agree with ROTJ Yoda, more power to you, nothing wrong with that at all

But I always liked the idea of Sia living on...

Traditionalists would have you ignore the Expanded Universe and hold Yoda's worh in ROTJ as the only truth.

Anyone that has read any of the 50+ books in the Expanded Universe plus countless comics and graphic novels out there knows better.

Then again, Star Wars is under new management, so anything goes now. LucasFilms has made it clear that Episode 7 thru 9 will be new stories, so those Traditionalist and EU believers will be shut out when we get a completely new storyline.

As for just the the Jedi Purge between Episode 3 and 4, I personally hold on to that there were lots of Jedi and other Force-sensives that not only survived, but created a name for themselves without getting the attention of Vader and the Emperor.

Because of the restruction on Jedi and the Force in general, I've have not and will not create a campaign during the "Dark Times" there is alway one Jedi in my group, even if he/she doesn't know it yet...

I can understand and respect this. Personally, though, I've always thought that the more characters of a certain type the better.

I hope Ep.7 shows other Jedi who survived, just for the internet chaos that would ensue.

Also, it would be cool if Sia Lan got an appearance in the cartoon. Maybe the fact that she's made it into a comic will elevate her visibility and the cartoon's producers will take notice. Her look is different than other Jedi they've shown, which is a plus. Maybe we need to start a write-in campaign.

Indeed.

Quinlon Vos has already been shown. Ayla Secura was also taken from comics (she was Vos's padawan in fact)

Sia Lan Wezz was more interesting than those two to me. Maybe because she was developed in the RPG..;)

Disney doesn’t want to tell the same story again, so I doubt Quinlin Vos or many of the known characters will be developed more than new characters. With George no longer having the final say so, They want to introduce a new line of marketable characters that will draw the story out into a NEW light. Or so I hope.

Taking it away from Lucas was the best decision they could possibly make.  I hope they wear ear plugs when he adds his "creative" input.

And yes then he ruins them by either giving them s**t deaths, or delves into their lives when they were little children.

Yeah, but others have done better.

Overall, the EU had some very crappy villians, but I did enjoy the Yuuzhan Vong overall in New Jedi Order, and Lost Sith in the most recent Fate of the Jedi series was good as well. The Sith from Legacy were decent, and come on Admiral Thrawn was kinda a bad!@#.

One thing I hated the most in the EU was making Jacen Solo into a Sith Lord in Legacy of the Force series. It was the most stupid thing any of the great authors of the EU novels could have done, and the sad thing is that Lucas had to sign off on it as well. Come on, enough with the Skywalker family-Dark Side drama. Its tired, and I hated it in the Legacy comics as well, but at least Cade didn't fall like Jacen did.

I'm hope that the new generation of main characters that Disney has in Episodes 7 through 9 are the Solo kids and their buddies like Lowbacca and Tenei Ka. Nothing says Disney like hopped-up teenagers with lightsabers and the Force making bad decisions and saving the galaxy! lol

Yuuzhan Vong- I personally didn't like them, but that's more from a storytelling perspective. From what I read in an interview with some of the people behind the Vong in a section at the back of my copy of The Unifying Force, they wnated to create a really scary bad guy, to challenge every character that had been built up so far . Really good idea. My issue is with the way they decided to distinguish the Vong by making them basically immune to the Force. I think it would have been better to have this nasty enemy be vulnerable to the Jedi powers,, since Luke's whole journey has been about him becoming a Jedi Master and reestablishing the Jedi Order.

Lost Sith- Not my faves but they were cool.
Legsacy "One Sith"- I liked them, actually. They reinvented the Sith philosophy and managed to dominate the galaxy. Makes you wonder about the strength of the old teachings.
Thrawn- Yeah, he's awesome.

I REALLY hope that the movies aren't about teenagers and their woes. To easy to go downhill and turn into pure awful.

The last sentence I wrote wasa joke, but I hope they give the young Jedi a chance.

Jaina Solo is by far my favorite EU character: A strong women that doesnt take any crap that can equally beat you in a duel or a dogfight. Everything I look for in a women personally but Jaina is also completely funny as hell, and is one of the firest and loyal Jedi Knights that Luke has, hence why she is the Sword of the Jedi, arguibly that second most powerful Jedi after Luke as of Fate. It takes a lot of balls and courage to kill your own brother, even if he is a Sith Lord.

Except none of those people actually die when we thought they did. Boba didn't die in the Sarlacc pit, Maul didn't die even though he was biseceted and fell to the bottom of a reactor core, and Sidious gets cloned.

It's been years since I read I Jedi but...

The only thing that I was disappointed with in the book is that I felt they could have gone into more detail with the battle with Exar Kun. It ended too soon and suddenly for me. It felt like they skipped something.

Speaking of that book, I will be including the Tedryn Holocron that Corran Horn accessed into my next Clone Wars adventure.

Nope.  It's simply first name and last initial.  I actually did try to shorten it up a bit more with SteveO although I prefer seeing my first name written out in full but that usename was not available when I signed up so long ago.

I don't know, Exar Kun wasn't the main focus of the story. Besides, the wehole Exar Kun thing was the subject of the Jedi Academy trilogy.
