Title kinda says it all, Curious to hear which colour combinations are favorites around here. Let's say list your top 10 favorites? (mono also counts)

My own top 10

1: Coalition (WURBG)
2: Jund (RBG)
3: Orzhov (BW)
4: Izzet (RU)
5: Bant (GUW)
6: Naya (WRG)
7: Rakdos (BR)
8: Gruul (RG)
9: Ana (BUG)
10: Necra (BWG)
My top is nil-color artifacts =D

Top 10 seems a bit excessive. I'll go top 3.

1. - yep, totally cliche here. Blue has counters, which are probably overall the best removal spells (stopping a permanent even hitting the table is huge, and don't get me started on instance and sorceries); green has very efficiently costed creatures and ramp. It also helps that probably my favourite card is Eternal Witness, which loves UGx.

2. - I'm a control player, and WB is a great control pairing for a non-blue control deck. Mother of Runes, Wall of Omens, Vindicate, Beseech the Queen, a bazillion sweepers - great color combination.

3. - lends itself almost seamlessly to a wide variety of deck strategies - aggro, control, combo - you name it, gb can do it. Having access to Fauna Shaman and reanimation is a big plus.

If it's not obvious, I'm not the biggest fan - red does best in fast aggressive strategies I find, which isn't my playstyle. I'll pretty much only play red if I feel it's a strong deck in the format, or I'm playing it alongside blue.
I'm all about super-control in MTG. If you're able to stop my shenanigans, then there aren't enough shenanigans. Lv 1 Judge Current Decklists Sweeping Beauty (Casual) A Vision of Clones (Casual) Coming soon... more decks! :-O
I like Turqoise (GU) the most out of any combination, and rarely play white.

1st - - Best removal, reanimator colors and mana ramping, for whatever reason I've used these colors in concert to good results and I enjoy the strategies that can be employed with these colors.

It gets a bit murky after that and it's difficult to say what my "favorite" is.
Don't be too smart to have fun
1 - - Slivers as far as my eyes can see

2 - - Seems to win

3 - - I remember a time when Energy Bolt and Reflect Damage were a big deal. Nobody knew what a Boros was back then.

4-10 - Basically, Mountains are required

This board uses a feature known as Autocard. It allows you to tag a card or group of cards and link them directly to the Gatherer for easy reference.

Here's how it works: Say I start a discussion about Lightning Bolt. It is well and fine for people who are familiar with Lightning Bolt and everything Lightning Bolt does.

Suppose somebody doesn't know what this card does.

I can autocard like this: [c]Lightning Bolt[/c] and it appears to everyone like this: Lightning Bolt.

You can do the same thing to an entire decklist at once by using [deck] and [/deck] at the begining and end of your list respectively.

This will make your decks easier to understand and get you better responses.

Back when I was in high school, I used to write little quotes on the whiteboard of my chemistry class, little, funny things that I'd made up and attributed to an anonymous author. Just tiny things I found amusing. Some time near the end of the year, a substitute teacher came in, read it, and told us a quote she had heard from a 13 year old girl. I don't remember what it was, but the quote sounded deep and philosophical. Then I actually thought about it. I realized that the quote was actually meaningless, but simply couched in the language of philosophy and depth. And that's what your post is. It is meaningless bull**** that you said in such a way as to make it seem sophisticated. But just as a lab coat doesn't make you a scientist, language won't make you a philosopher. Only love of wisdom will. And until then, you will always remind me of a nameless 13 year old girl.
If my signature isn't a tip-off, I'm quite fond of :G::W::U: - and my favorite pair is :G::U:  Mainly because it just "feels" right for my personality.

I used to have a janky green/blue Winter Orb deck. Then it evolved into a janky green/blue Rising Waters deck.

I used to run Winter Orb/Icy Manipulator with Howling mines as an attempt to recreate Turbo Stasis in colorless, so that I could fit it into any color. I went with red/white, the sword and the shield. This was back in the late 90s. I still run that deck to this day, though the Winter Orbs have been replaced with Static Orbs.

That's funny, actually, my Ghave EDH deck includes Turbofog. (In fact, it's even called Ghave's Blasts from the Past for this and other reasons.)

I've tried to recreate TurboStasis more recently, but I ran into an issue. Basically any walker that can damage a player, mill, make a token, remove a creature or enchantment, untap a land, or has some sui generis ability that exploits opponents not having a turn lols at TurboStasis.

It's cool to see if old decks still hold up.

Jund all the way. Then Grixis, then Bant, then Junk.
All are fun, but I tend to think blue black or blue green are best (in edh that is)

Simply look at signature
Favorite would probably be Junk ( ), although I'm also a fan of anything with red in it.
Black.  Just black.  Why would you need anything else?

Because enchantments and artifacts.

3) :bgm:

IDK what it is, I've never had fun playing any deck that didn't have a solid black foundation.

There are a great many problems that can be circumvented by players and DMs having a mature discussion about what the game is going to be like before they ever sit down together to play.

The answer really does lie in more options, not in confining and segregating certain options.

You really shouldn't speak for others.  You can't hear what someone else is saying when you try to put your words in their mouth.

1) for all the shenanigans it allows

2) (sometimes with or ), so my opponent can't have nice things

3) was once the top one, it still has a place in my heart

[<o>]
1. I've made so many U/B decks over the years, and I've enjoyed every one of them, from ninjas, to Mindleech Mass, to reanimator, to infect control, and tempo discarding with Dimir Cutpurse.

2.  I've also built a lot of mono-blue decks, from my take on the classic mono-U control to Faerie Ninja Standstill, to merfolk, and illusions.

3. Another fun color combination with lots of my favorite dual-colored cards.

I am Blue/White

1.)  R    No matter how long i play or howgood i get, I always fall back to the color that got me started.  I always hvae a goblin deck, and a burn deck of some sort together at any given time

2.) G/B & B/U    tie here. my reanimator colors.   Again, ive almost always have these decks together.  Old school survival/recurring nightmare, and a more up to date legacy build

3.) R/U  I love to build goofy decks in these colors. one of my favorite casual decks of all time was gelectrode & the red tim creature that untaps powered up by curiosity and flame jab with a lot of lands. Sadly that deck is lost to me, but im having fun with a casual niv magus elemental build to replace it

:For autocarding, write [ c ] card name [ / c ] You can also do [*c=lightning bolt]'Bolt[/c*] to get 'Bolt sigged because I always forget to do it
Izzet - A wide variety of decks and styles all from one color pair.
U/B - The oldschool discard + permission style
W/U or Esper - Newer control, more tapping out, more Sphinx's Revelation for 7.
G - Especially when I'm casting Primeval Titan turn 3 and Ulamog turn 4 (my opponents always concede before I get to Turn 5 Emrakul)
The end is always nigh.
. Home of the aggro decks. Can be splashed with anything. Did you know you can make the EXACT same deck in , , and ?

. My vampire multiplayer and commander colors. Some day I'll get a decent commander...

. Another multiplayer fav.

. THE soldier deck color. Forget that mono white crap.

. Was a big faerie fan back in the day. Still am. And there's just so much pain in black n blue.

I guess an honorable mention should go to . Done some good Bant themed stuff and others.

I'd say red is also home of the aggro decks, especially since red control is kinda...Craterize says it all.

I'll call ya when I find one.

. Another multiplayer fav.

It helps that while two of the generals are similar (and can really be put in any deck), the other two play very differently. I would never put Tower Defense in my Ghave deck, and Doran isn't too crazy about Spike Weaver.

BUG's fun for "Yeah, I can get anything out of my deck, for a lot cheaper than you can."

When I am in that good old "I want to feel like an evil heartless monster that controls your life" mode :UB:

When I feel like feilding an army. :WRM: Cause soldiers and junk

And finally when I just feel like having fun regardless of winning. I pull out whatever theme deck I currently fancy. Right now its myr's
My favorites, flavor-wise:
1: -- Monoblack
2: -- Black White
3:   -- Black red
4: :: -- Blue artifacts
5:   -- Blue green

It's no secret white, blue and red are the best colors overall, now with green as the fourth best color.
These are sad times, before Gatecrash is released on MTGO.

Blue and black used to be my second favorite, untill Dimir went from discard to milling.
I'm a noob with 3 decks :3

1, Izzet. Picked up niv-mizzet, just had to build a deck around it.
2, Selesnya, but not the token version. I focus on hetting mana ASAP (around 8 mana in 5 turns) and get out strong creatures while using the white to buff, and annoy.
3, Dimir, went to the pre-release and loved milling people. The deck sucks right now but i love the play style lmao.
