Thinking about coming back

So i have been thinking of coming back for a long break ( like about 3 years long) and i wanted to start playing in some local tournaments. but i have no clue where too start. I was thinking about making a mill deck, but im not sure if they are still good. any help would be grateful, whether it be a deck to start out with or where i can look for more info. the colors i would like to run are black, blue, and white.
I came off a break a few months ago.  What I did to catch up was buy a core deck and go to some drafts.  I generally find that drafting is a cheap way to get what I want from a particular set.  Right now, the Return to Ravnica block is the big thing.  Azorius is white/blue and currently available, but to play Dimir (blue/black) or Orzhov (white/black), you'll have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for Gatecrash.
Anyone else want to help a returning player?
I would start by attending the Gatecrash Pre-release (and if they still do it in your area, a Launch Sealed event). You might want to pick Dimir as your Guild if you like Mill.

Not bad. But what happens flavor wise when one kamahl kills the other one?
Zis iz a sign uf deep psychological troma, buried in zer subconscious mind. By keelink himzelf, Kamahl iz physically expressink hiz feelinks uf self-disgust ova hiz desire for hiz muzzer. [/GermanPsychologistVoice]

That makes no sense to me. If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed? ~ Tim
Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch. YAY COLOR IDENTITY

Is algebra really that difficult?
Survey says yes.

You want to make a milky drink. You squeeze a cow.
I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.

And no judge will ever give you a game loss for playing snow covered lands.
I now have a new goal in life. ;)
Are Mill decks still good in the current game?
Mill is never "good"
but it is a nice angle many decks aren't prepared for

currently in Standard there is only Elixir of Immortality and Psychic Spiral (also a great card in a mill deck) as anti-mill, so it will be viable, especially with the mill cards from Dimir in GTC

ok, there also is Archangel's Light, but really...
