How many "young" DMs and Players out there?

Well, "young" is a very relative word, since youth could be measured by one's persona, not because of their physical age, and I think every D&D player and DM is young to an extent... however I'm talking about ages here.

I'm currently 20 years old, and I started DMing at the tender age of 15 (?); all of my players are in ages 16-22 (we're currenlty 5 people counting myself, and we're the ONLY D&D players of the city... nope, no roleplaying shops arround here). Sometimes I feel kinda lonely with the North American community tough, since most of players and masters are arround 25-30, or even more.

So, am I one of a kind?

I feel you for sure. Where I grew up, there was only my group and no shops in the area. It's pretty hard to bring up the topic with others because only a small minority of people even play.
Check out this cool game! Just started a new campaign, looking for advice!
I started out in highschool... and I don't think I've actually played much after, as my groups kept falling apart and I didn't really care for looking for a local fanbase after moving.
This year it'll be 5 years since my HS graduation.

Taught myself 3.5 at around twelve, so I've been playing for almost seven years. I too tend to have problems finding a decent group, though that isn't much of a problem right now.

There was these little kids one was like 10 and the other several years younger playing it on the sidewalk. Looking back... I wonder how they did that since I don't remember much being out except the dice and the DM screen, haha.

I'm in highschool now. Not telling my exact age, because my parents are pretty paranoid and would be mad if I did. Easier to just avoid that. I have a friend who's been playing 2ed (I think...) for several years. And most games I play IRL are with my little brother (12) and his friends, most of which are actually younger than him.
Im old, but I make the kids play too.
I survived Section 4 and all I got was this lousy sig Off-topic and going downhill from there

I'd like to get my little sister involved but I think my mom would just freak out. She doesn't approve of it but since I'm out of the house she can't say anything. She's busy a lot with activities so I doubt it would work. We really need another person, honestly.

I don't like or play D&D any more.

Say, do you know why people preserve food?
Because they can!

If you had your choice of one old DM or two young DMs, which would you choose?

How old is old, and how young is young? And which one is hotter?

*Two points about this gag. Firstly, every writer of anything makes typos and I’m no different. It’s “there but for the grace of God go I” rather than schadenfreude here. The second is something called Muphry’s Law (no, it is Muphry’s, not Murphy’s) which states that any piece correcting or laughing at a typo, spelling or grammatical mistake will contain at least one worse than the original being complained of.

I'm a 16 year old girl. I love long sessions of D&D.

my builds
F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter. With some warlord stuff. Broken in a plot way, not a power way.

Thought Switch Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1. If your allies play along, it's broken.

Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation. 5 of these will end anything. Broken.

King Fisher Optimized net user.  Moderate.

Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading.

Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit. Overpowered.

Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square.

Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong.

Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked.

Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic.

Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation.

Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses.

Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat.  One of THE most abusive character in 4e.

Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent.

Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof.

Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it.

Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways.

Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful.

The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken.

Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power.

Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken.

Rune of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered.

Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5.

Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong.

Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight with items, making it far more broken.

Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken.

Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones. Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.

She thinks its evil a long with Charmed and Roswell which I watched all the time when I was in high school (and I still do). She thinks a lot of video games are also evil. Its really weird because she bought my little sister the Twilight books...wtf. So, I really do not understand her reasoning at all....

Wow.  I would totally advise staying very far away from that lady.  She's ... well, I'll just stop there since she is your mommy.  ;)

I myself am 25 this month and the oldest of my normal playgroup.  My typical players are 24, 18, and 17.  I started playing D&D with a peer group (all the same school grade) in 2002 and DMing two years later

So you're between 13 and 17.  Are you legally allowed to work?

I see what's going on here. You're trying to narrow it down until you know my exact age. Not happening. :P

Just wondering if I'm above or below 18 is fair enough. So the first question was pretty innocent. But the second one gave you away... Don't judge me.
