Since i've got a good eye for color so it looks great to people who don't get the "joke" (it's a niceley divided circle after all: the outline gives you 4-6 "regions" to work with), this has actually got me put on platter design more often, resulting in Phyrexia's presence at more private and industry events.

I'm still a complete newbie at sealed deck - almost all of my Limited experience is in Booster Drafting. I ended up trying to make a vague Rakdos control, but I'm not entirely sure how effective it would be in practice, and I question my own decision to splash into blue to try to get a better mana curve.

Well, Rakdos had the numbers for an aggressive 2 colour deck, so I think it's a solid choice.

Rakdos seemed like a great option, but I'm on a red/green kick.  I'd be curious to see how this plays.  I'm not 100% comfortable with the mana base, but I wanted to splash that black for Rakdos's Return and couldn't bring myself to leave out Carnival Hellsteed.  The green pump spells should get me through the early waves and let me hit big at the end.

I think this is a pretty viable midrange.  Any comments?

I'll admit that this is completely driven by the Armada Wurm:  My first instinct was to go Selesnya with a splash of Blue, but I couldn't make the curve look good enough to suit me, so I ended up with this GW list.  I'm still pretty new at Limited, so I'd be interested in everyone's feedback.  Thanks!

i Decided base red green is best, splashing both the white for armada wurm and black for trestle troll (its the only way i have to deal with fliers). it still should work out and our plantiful acceleration likely means explosive starts, while pump spells and tramplers is good in all cases.

If anybody has any thoughts on the matter I'd love to hear them.  I honestly have no clue which one to pick as they both present good arguments to me.

From Mark Rosewater's Tumblr: the0uroboros asked: How in the same set can we have a hexproof, unsacrificable(not a word) creature AND a land that makes it uncounterable. How does this lead to interactive play? I believe I’m able to play my creature and you have to deal with it is much more interactive than you counter my creature.

MaRo: One of the classic R&D stories happened during a Scars of Mirrodin draft. Erik Lauer was sitting to my right (meaning that he passed to me in the first and third packs). At the end of the draft, Erik was upset because I was in his colors (black-green). He said, "Didn't you see the signals? I went into black-green in pack one." I replied, "Didn't you see my signals? I started drafting infect six drafts ago."

MaRo: I redesigned him while the effect was on the stack.

Been out of the game for a while. Downloaded the iPad app and have been hooked again since. Here is my first go at the Sealed Draft thingy.

Really tempted by the GW population potential, but seemed to be a flat-liner for competitive play, and detain abilities from UW didn't seem like it was going to change games. Rakdos had my answer, although I doubted the necessity of Rakos' Return & Skull Rend. I see a lot of BR users here too :D

Rakdos seemed obvious but it was a debate to either stretch into the weaker BR cards or jump into a third color to increase overall power while hurting consistency.  I chose the latter strategy and added green

I cut dynacharge and trestle troll because I was already running GG and decided a defender creature didn't really fit with the deck.  I want every creature to always attack.  I'm praying I can outrace fliers.

Went for Jund, definetly a good deck. Has so many blocker to prevent nasty creature from hitting.
Afraid of big dude, Traitorous Instinct + Launch Party could handle it.

Got two decks out of this pool which is always nice; nothing like sideboarding your entire deck for G2. The first deck is the Rakdos that most folks here built, splashed blue for the extra keyrune and to support Pursuit of Flight. The second is Selesnya midrange with a blue splash. With a Mana Bloom and two keyrunes, getting the big drops out shouldn't be trouble. Druid's Deliverance will usually be making a Knight token, and that's good enough; you don't want to get into an attrition war against a Rakdos player. I'd have liked a couple more defensive creatures like Armory Guard or Hussar Patrol, but the goal here is to hold off with your three drops long enough for your 6's and 7's to do the heavy lifting.

This is my first attempt at sealed (I've also only been playing for two months or so); please don't be too harsh on judging my ability at this point.

I feel like the sealed pool pushed most for either Rakdos or Selesnya. It was also possible to build Izzet or Azorius. I chose to make a Red/Green, splashing Black, beatdown deck. The deck uses a monocolored-Red backbone so I can have some speed. It then provides Green pump spells so creatures can break through for some large damage (especially with Blistercoil Weird). Black adds defensive capability in the forms of Trestle Troll (to handle sub 4 power attackers and fliers) and Rakdos Keyrune (a mana source as well as a good first-striking blocker). Axebane Guardian is used for blocking too, but it can also provide extra color-specific mana for the Troll, Keyrune, and even for sending a creature enchanted with Pursuit of Flight airborne. Druid's Deliverance is present for longetivity and the off-chance that I can populate for a Centaur token. If the opponent survives till late game, Bloodfray Giant, Chorus of Might, and/or Explosive Impact could make the difference between a win or a loss. As you might be able to tell, I like variety, but I also tried (not certain if I succeeded) to stick to the single-minded goal of making..."a big creature with small cards" is the best way I can put it.

I'm just a newbie but this is what I came up with.
I just saw too much Rakdos love to pass up. Plus, if I have any worthwhile spot removal, I like that color.  With two Launch Party, an Annihilating Fire, an Explosive Impact and two Electrickery's, I can clear the way for a whole slew of efficeintly costed beatsticks, like Bloodfray Giant, Carnival Hellsteed and other Unleash goodies.  That plus the Rakdos' Return created a very enticing package, though it hurt my soul not to run that Armada Wurm.
