Ruling on Venser, the Sojourner

Kind of a silly question as I think the english is clear but I need a ruling anyways. Venser, the Sojourner the +2 ability is in question. I target a basic land I wasn't using. Then after I was done casting all my spells I put the land back into play and let him start his turn. He challenged that I shouldn't have that card until the end of his turn, which would be the next-next end step which isn't what the card says. Thanks for your input.
You are correct, Venser's ability has a delayed triggered ability that returns the permanent in question to the battlefield under it's owners control at the beginning of the next end step.  That will occur on your turn, so the land is put back onto the battlefield at your end step.

It says to return it "at the beginning of the next end step", not the beginning of the end step of the next turn, but the beginning of the very next end step.

Unless something makes you miss your next end step, you will get the land back in the same turn in which you used Venser's +2 ability.

Not bad. But what happens flavor wise when one kamahl kills the other one?

That makes no sense to me. If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed? ~ Tim
Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch. YAY COLOR IDENTITY

I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.
