What card has won a lot of games for you that no one else seems to play.

Neurok Commando

Love this guy.  You can sculpt your entire game around him. (and I have a deck that does just that)
Greenseeker is a frequently-underrated combo enabler.

Smooth out your mana, thin out your deck, and stock your graveyard, all for just ?
Definitely not shabby.
Explorer's Scope. Surprisingly effective when one's deck is 80% lands :33.

Reconnaissance. I think this card is best summarized by the fact that it costs less than Serra's Blessing.

Grip of Chaos. I think it speaks for itself.

No need to be so obtuse, maybe he's just trying to complement her. That's not too radical of a concept, I mean she is pretty acute, right?.

Akroma's Vengence, It tends to always do what I want.

What are you, some kind of scrub? Abilities that create interesting decisions are so two thousand late.  It's all about the DERPSWING these days.

But srsly, the card is ridonkulonkulous. Gives everything vigilance and makes it so your creatures can't lose at combat. I think my favorite moment was countering a Pitfall Trap with it :33.

Besides that I picked up two Tainted Aethers recently and now want to make a deck using that.  I think that would be a rare win cond.

Tainted Aether isn't a win condition, it's just a really annoying card.

While that may be true of the card specificaly; if a card is so annoying it will make my opponent conced 9/10 then I consider it a win condition of the card Laughing.

Aside from being a smart ass I do see your point; that's why I want to run Hunted Horror and Hunted Phantasm; those are win conditions!
Sometimes you play a card and the opponent reads the card and looks at you to verify that they're understanding the card correctly. They can tell because of the smug look on your face. Although the card isn't great this is one of those cards that can roll over an unprepared opponent. The only reason why I play this card is because no one else plays it. If it was played it would cease to be fun. It's not really my favorite but I think it fits the intent of the thread

Nacatl War-Pride Seriously, I know we'll never see this as evergreen, and certainly not common (and really, it's rare, IMO), but it's still awesome just for the broken things you can do with it. (Consider populate merely the first.) Speaking of which...

Cathars' Crusade This one is in the "over nine thousand" category when done right. Seriously. Especially with things like Triskelavus. And yes, it's really cute with Doubling Season.

Quest for the Holy Relic Yeah, this one isn't as good as Stoneforge, but when she was b&, I actually put this in. Using Memnite, Ornithopter, and other cheap artifact creatures with Glint Hawk and Wall of Omens, I could use Quest to do something similar by turn 2 or 3. I picked, not Sword of Feast and Famine, but Argentum Armor.

Liquimetal Coating Wizards says land destruction should cost . I say it should cost or , or on a 2/2 body. Looks like I've been *sunglasses* vindicated.

My favorite card is Galepowder Mage (and by proxy, Restoration Angel, but that's pretty popular these days.) It's not the obviously degenerate things that you can do with it that are the most fun either. It's a small value engine at it's best, and a token slayer/flying threat at worst.

Felidar Sovereign,Mentor of the Meek, Empyrial Archangel, Spore Frog, Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, Phyrexian Negator and Obstinate Baloth are some of my other favorite creatures (and they are and were fairly underplayed)

Amass the Components, Martial Coup, Profane Command, Austere Command, Mind Spring, Red Sun's Zenith, Terra Eternal, Epic Proportions, Khalni Gem, Polymorph, Beast Within, Hallowed Burial and Bramblecrush. Mostly just poorly timed in their metas or too complicated to play fast games with.

EDIT: Forgot about Quietus Spike

This is an especialy rair one. blood pet. When I get it, my opponent usualy would start ranting at its horribility, and then i would procede to sac it, and put out a turn four liege of the tangle, also ashnods altar, which helped cast the leige too.

I don't get it.
The scenario you use to showcase it's power, it would have been better to just sacrifice it to Altar.

Spore Frog and the Negator were big in Standard, Almost everything else you mentioned is big in casual. There's a reason why Profane command shows up in every other duel deck. Beast Within is huge in Commander. Ink-eyes has always been well-loved.

I've never seen anyone else use Soltari Guerrillas or Phyrexian Purge. I've found both to be quite effective.
Prison Term doesn't get enough love either, especially in edh. Paying 3 mana isn't a big deal in commander and there's always a new crazy threat to lock down.

Dawntreader Elk. It's a nice combination of sakura-tribe elder and grizzly bear. Falkenrath Exterminator is pretty cool. I'm always surprised that more people don't play Sphinx of Magosi. It's a fantastic creature. I'll also play Siege-Gang Commander in pretty much any red deck.

Not sure if it saw a lot of play, but See Beyond is a really amazing draw/filter card. Before I had any of the recent board wipes like Supreme Verdict I had Sunscour. This card and it's alternative cost really helped swing the match for me during a multiplayer duel. Midnight Guard can also be a threat, as long as he  has buddies with molotov cocktails

I'm fond of Silent Arbiter.

In EDH, they're fun with Ghave. Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Cathars' Crusade...Populate's really cool, because you get to keep the token.

Another cool thing to use them with is Lure, but only forced block variants that actually do Lure.

Cathars' Crusade This one is in the "over nine thousand" category when done right. Seriously. Especially with things like Triskelavus. And yes, it's really cute with Doubling Season.

Also fun with Marrow-Gnawer and that one goblin who mugged him during his trip to Ravnica.

In EDH, I use Krenko mostly with Kresh. The Crusade can't go in there, but it is fun with Rith. Kresh likes Marrow-Gnawer, though

Another one I've become fond of is Force of Savagery. At least one of my Mimeoplasm combos uses Force with Blighted Agent. Groundbreaker works almost as well.

Drogskol Reaver won me several games at the Dark Ascension prerelease. Things like "creature dies, proc Falkenrath Noble, proc Reaver, cast Tragic Slip, proc Noble, proc Reaver, oh you have no more flyers or spiders?, swing for 8, proc Reaver twice".

Do you even own an actual Chaos Orb?" Me: "Yes, but I thought it would be better to use a Proxy." Him: "No way. If you're going to put a Chaos Orb in your deck you have to use your actual Chaos Orb." Me: "*Sigh*. Okay." I pulled out this huge Chaos Orb and placed it on the table. He tried to cry foul again but everyone else said he insisted I use my actual Chaos Orb and that was my actual Chaos Orb. I used it, flipped it and wiped most of his board. Unsurprisingly, that only worked once and only because everyone present thought it was hilarious.

Hi guys! So, I'm a sort of returning player to Magic. I say sort of because as a child I had two main TCG's I liked. Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon. Some of my friends branched off in to Magic, and I bought two pre-made decks just to kind of fit in. Like I said, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were what I really knew how to play. I have a extensive knowledge of deck building in those two TCG's. However, as far as Magic is concerned, I only ever used those two pre made decks. I know how the game is played, and I know general things, but now I want to get in the game for real. I want to begin playing it as a regular. My question is, are all cards ever released from the time of the inception of this game until present day fair game in a deck? Or are there special rules? Are some cards forbidden or restricted? Thanks guys, and I will gladly accept ANY help lol.

That's what RPJesus tends to do. That's why I don't think he's a real person, but some Magic Card Archive Server sort of machine, that is programmed to react to other posters' comments with obscure cards that do in fact exist, but somehow missed by even the most experienced Magic players. And then come up with strange combos with said cards. All of that is impossible for a normal human to do given the amount of time he does it and how often he does it. He/It got me with Light of Sanction, which prompted me to go to RQ&A to try and find if it was even possible to do combat damage to a creature I control (in light that Mark of Asylum exists).
