Went with a golgari built with a light splash for auger spree.  The lack of blockers with reach concerns me but it seems a more solid creature package than rakdos.

My deck is very similar, the only difference is that I'm -3 Rubbleback Rhino and -1 Aerial Predation, +1 Street Spasm, +1 Spawn of Rix-Maadi, +1 Grisly Salvage, +1 Golgari Charm.

Scavange heavy deck with multiple targets for the +1/+1 counters : Daggerdome Imp has flying and lifelink, Bloodfray Giant and Korozda Monitor have trample, the Rubbleback Rhinos have hexproof, but the best target is Wild Beastmaster. The 5 removals as well as Rogue's Passage will help those fatties get through blockers. Grisly Salvage can throw scavange cards directly in the grave while finding a good target for all this scavanging. The deck can also be quite agressive if needed with its low curve and unleash/deathouch creatures.

I went afk part way through so it took a lot longer than it should've, but I ended up going green/black to make good use of the cheap creatures like Drudge Beetles and the 3 Centaur's Herarlds so that by using Wild Beastmaster it can win quickly.

Seems like Golgari with the red splash is the best deck you can build and in sealed I like the slower Golgari decks that try to set up an unbeatable Rhino or Daggerdrone imp so that's what I went with.

18 lands, you can treat Rogue's Passage as a "spell" of sorts. Aerial predation is played as there is not a lot of ways to stop floods of fliers. Azorius Arrester & Vassal Soul are left out because they require early Plains to make them fit the curve properly but we want to make sure to have a forest turn 1 & be able to have 2 green mana up by turn 4. Seller of Songbirds left out as a lot of 3 drops (including Heralds).

Think the golgari deck seems very solid with some cheap scavengers like sluiceway scorpion and deadbride goliath, with some very good targets like daggerdrome imp, wild beastmaster and rubbleback rhino. The red splash does not appear very risky either with guildgates and gatecreeper vine. Deviant glee should also perform well in this deck.

I decided to go with a simic build with a splash of white. The sweetspot is getting righteous authority or scavanged creatures on to a rubble back rhino. It seemed to me that green and blue had a decent creature pool. I am not to happy with the curve, but to get a good curve with this pool would require akwardly splashing colors. Green and Red seemed to have the best creatures, so perhaps a Gruul build would have been better.

Fairy imposter can work double duty to remove my opponents enchantments or to get extra value out of gatecreeper vine.

A major flaw in this build is that there is no removal, but long live the simic combine anyway.

The choice mythics were really hard not to want to play, With the small amount of good izzet creatures (my guild) i chose to run overload + green's top quality and i love the centar caller thx to declaring as a blocker and getting a token. The gates are in there to make the guild key useful a 3/1 first strike can block alot before my mid game starts and the Sundering Growth can take care of a problem once and if it dose the tokens from a herald could get a friend. The passage will allow for a mana sink into a agressive 5/5 for four is a good turn 6 but a grate turn 5

in the end Gruul is a very agressive creature deck in my eyes and i belive this is shown here the scavenge mecanic is grate late game if i run into stall and Rubbleback Rhino is a grate deffence agenct detain by pileing him up with counters.

Cool article. Here's something I put together on mana base probalites. It supports a lot of what you're saying, though it is all based on a 60 card deck:

Decided to forego the power of the golgari and obvious stab wound and augur spree to build an agressive deck that can cause a lot of blowouts with street spasm, and early creatures getting beneficial trades thanks to the 2 chemisters tricks. Green had a lot of good creatures for this, and the 3 centaur healers are good for getting early pressure in the air with faerie imposters. then you can push through lots of damage really easily because of teleportal, blustersquall and chemisters trick's.

Some time wasted to create a new account. There are bombs in all colors, and we can splash so easily. It is basically a 5color in a golgari shell. The black removal plus Righteous Authority, Street Spasm and Blustersquall gives us a powerfull late game, while scavange with Daggerdrome Imp, Wild Beastmaster and the Rubbleback Rhino ensures us raw power - hexproof makes it hard to deal with plus the Rogue's Passage to turn it an huge threat.

So for some reason my account name shows up as some random guest number, but my screen name is supposed to be ruhrohraggy.  Anyway, I knew I was playing gren because it had good creatures all the way up the curve plus lots of scavenge cards especially for Wild Beastmaster but also just for pumping up any other dude.  The red has a few good creatures, a touch of removal, and big baddie Utvara Hellkite.  The keyrune plus the 3 gates that all make black mana or a main color allows me to play 5 black cards with only 2 swamps in the deck.  There are 6 sources for the "splash" which brings in removal, creatures that are also removal and scavenge (read: 2 Sluiceway Scorpion), and another big dude.  The gates plus keyrune make it very easy to get any color of mana I need at nearly any point in the game

Disclaimer: Yes, I did read the article before posting this decklist, and I know that he specificaly said that 5 cards no longer constitutes a splash, hence my use of the term "splash".  I have 6 black sources (actually 7 if you count gatecreeper vine, which will only be diffficult for me to play early if I already have access to black anyway).  I only NEED to get one by turn 4 at the earliest, but usually turn 5 or 6 is OK.  With 6 black sources I have a nearly 50% chance to get one by turn 4, a 58% chance to get one by turn 5, and a 65% chance by turn 6.  Gatecreeper vine increases those chances to a point where I am very happy with the speed at which I can expect to draw a black source.

Strong group of cards this week!

So the obvious strongest card in the group here is Wild Beastmaster, which can get absolutely ridiculous with Scavenge.

I thought green was too good to resist, red offered Ultvara Dragon (which can just win the game if it comes out) and a lot of control, and black is easy enough to splash with the gates.  There's not a ton of evasion, but there is enough control and with 19 mana sources, I think this deck can last until the big fatties.

Creature Heavy with removal and Worldspine Wurm, probably would'nt run him if I cared about winning, but what the hell him coming down would spell doom!!!!!!

Ok, I made two deck lists instead of one this time around because I like both options (although I think the top one is a tad bit better which I will explain below). Green is obviously the powerhouse color in the pool with plenty of quality creatures, ways to retrieve mana, some removal, and some combat tricks. Red has a very nice bomb (Utvara Hellkite) and a few good supporting cards as well such as Annihilating Fire, Bloodfray Giant, and Dynacharge. For my two deck lists I created Jund (green main, red secondary, and black splash) and Naya (green main, red secondary, white splash).

The nice thing with going Jund over Naya is that there is much more color fixing with all of the guildgates and the one keyrune. Jund also seems to have a slightly stronger card base (in my opinion) than Naya in terms of the splashed color (black over white). The deck has the perfect balance of creatures, removal, and combat tricks.

Naya doesn't have as much color fixing as Jund (having only one keyrune to work with and no guildgates) and not as much removal, but it can generate a bit more creatures. If you prefer having a larger army of creatures, then going this route is probably better. Naya, although probably not quite as good as Jund, is still a very good possibility.

This deck is very greedy in that it tries to play the big bombs and most of the high-quality cards in the pool while accomodating Rogue's Passage and Teleportal as win conditions. With 18 lands, hitting land drops often enough to be able to cast the bombs is not a pipedream and there is enough of an early-game presence to survive until the lategame as well, especially given that Sealed is a slower format.

This build looks pretty similar to most here. I stuck to green/black almost exclusively, just splashing for the Spree. Wild Beastmaster is great here. I made sure to maindeck Aerial Predation because this deck has a weakness to fliers. I'm not a big fan of the Hellkite, especially when we have plenty of scavenging to occupy our late game.

Well, this build STARTED OUT easily enough.  Grean was clearly the best choice, so I threw all the green cards into the pot and then started looking for a support color.

Selesnya looked pretty weak.  There are only a handful of good white cards in this pool and none of them screamed "Play me!"  Golgari, on the other hand, had some really nice removal, including the amazing Stab Wound.  And I figured that Auger Spree would be an easy splash.

I had initially thrown in both Keyrunes, thinking that they could make a red, black, or white splash really easy while helping me build towards the 11 mana necessary to play the game-ending Worldspine Wurm.  But 11 mana is SO MUCH, even in Sealed Deck.  So I hemmed and hawwed and finally ditched the Wurm.  In it's place, I thought that Utvara Hellkite would be an easy addition and much more likely to come down before I died or milled out.  I was already running Gatecreeper Vine + Rakdos Guildgate, and I liked the idea of including the Rakdos Keyrune, as it gives me both of my secondary colors and helps accelerate out my big beasties.

Since I already had Auger Spree, Utvara Hellkite, and Rakdos Keyrune demanding at least a slight commitmant to red, I went ahead and included Street Spasm.  It's nice to have additional removal.

After making some cuts to tighten up the deck and make room for a sufficient number of lands, I ended up with a nice midrange deck.  The Heralds, Drudge Beetles, and Imp can apply early pressure.  Then my suite of removal starts to come online.  Plus I've got some really amazing four-drops in Deadbridge Goliath and Korozda Monitor.  If my opponent manages to stabilize, I can start scavenging my creatures to keep up the pressure.  And I've got some really nice bombs in Wild Beastmaster, Deadbridge Goliath, Utvara Hellkite, Rogue's Passage, Archweaver, Street Spasm, and even Stab Wound, all of which can win games more or less by themselves.

The curve is decent, although not great.  But I don't anticipate too many mana problems, as I don't really plan on casting my red spells until late in the game, and I have plenty of sources for black and green mana.
