Golgari with a fairly greedy white 'splash'. Using Vraska, Demon, Goliath, Smiter, and Selesnya Guildmage because imba. Not much good is going on to support those cards though. Double green and double black costs ensure this deck's inevitable and persistent mana screw.
I would go pure Rakdos on this one. Also I would take a risk and play 16 lands. As this is a sealed format chances that a slow match is highly, so I would try my chance. I would play Dynacharge over Rakdos charm but the charm would be a nice side card against Selesnya decks

Who blocks Frostburn Weirds?  No one.  Looks like I'll be casting Rakdos on-curve.  GW has some goodies, but just not the outright Ba-Bombs in black.   And look at that removal.

Definetly Rakdos curve here. But seeing there are some potential good cards on Golgari, i decided to splash it with green. Go Jund!

Izzet splashing for Arrest and Revelation. My creatures aren't great, but my removal is abundant and strong, Frostburn Weirds hold down the early game, and my endgame is ridiculous (Revelation into two Explosive Impact entirely possible).

Second take: Unpopulated Selesnya

2 Explosive Impact
1 Rakdos Charm

Has a bunch of early game and can fake an aggro convincingly, but Frostburn Weirds are still great on defense, and the plan of stall until I hit the 4-mana 6/6 fliers and Explosive Impacts (mostly to the face) is pretty solid.

Only 8 mountains though. I really think if you're going to play 2 or more frostburn wierds you should be playing 10-11 mountain. This is the reason why I think pure rakdos is the best choice here. I don't think that the green splash for vraska some are doing is worth the loss of mountains which significantly lowers the value of frostburn weird.

And now for something completely different! I decided to go Bant with a splash of black for Vraska ( Hey a theme!). I wanted to go selesnia for the Smiter, guildmage, and Arrest. I decided to go blue for the Revelation and the decent draw suite. The mana base is a little shaky, and I probably should have included another island for a forest or something. In the sideboard you have a second apperition and sundering growth, if you need it, and the forstborn wierds ( agian adding some islands). If there were more flyers in the pool I would feel better, but I like the list turned out.

Jund! F*#& Yeah!  I don't normally go up to 18 lands, but I really wanted to be sure I hit all my red sources on curve with 4(!!!) Frostburn Weirds to charge up.

The Deadbridge Goliath may be a bit greedy on the splash, but I'm happy with him coming down on turn 8 so...yeah.  Vraska, Axebane, and Trestle troll should be supportable more-or-less on curve though with 4 sources capable of producing green.

This pool is just plane out BANANAS.  From a value standppoint I'd be more than happy to just scoop up my cards and walk home except that this deck looks like an absolute blast to play.

***************************************************************************************

From Mark Rosewater's Tumblr: the0uroboros asked: How in the same set can we have a hexproof, unsacrificable(not a word) creature AND a land that makes it uncounterable. How does this lead to interactive play? I believe I’m able to play my creature and you have to deal with it is much more interactive than you counter my creature.

MaRo: One of the classic R&D stories happened during a Scars of Mirrodin draft. Erik Lauer was sitting to my right (meaning that he passed to me in the first and third packs). At the end of the draft, Erik was upset because I was in his colors (black-green). He said, "Didn't you see the signals? I went into black-green in pack one." I replied, "Didn't you see my signals? I started drafting infect six drafts ago."

MaRo: I redesigned him while the effect was on the stack.

100% Agree.  It took so much to come to a decision here lol.

So I ended up going with Golgari with a Rakdos Splash...or I guess just straight up Jund.  I know most people are going straight up Rakdos, but I think Golgari provide a solid all around game here.  You WILL be tapping all of your mana every turn.  That's why:
1) I left out 2 Frostburns.  They are great, but lose a lot of value after turn 3.  In play I notice them either trading or slipping in one or two damage after turn 3.  Great, but not necessary.  Might sideboard them in in place of the shamblers if there arent any swamps on the other players side.
2) Left out the shadow.  Usually a powerhouse, but with, Rakdos, Deadbridge, Demon and Monitors, I think the money is more on scavenge.  Scavenge onto Trample = Better.
3)  Left out one Explosive Impact.  Again, scavenge.  and again, sideboard (probably against a detain heavy deck).

The mana base is a little less than I like, but EVERY creature on here is a threat.  Do they kill your Trestle's or your Axebane, and if they don't kill your axebane, you have no mana issue.  Your thrill-kill is a great defensive creature or he could help you with a more agressive posture.  Dead Reveler has always been a threat.  About the only wasted creature is the Cackler, but he hits a curve spot and can help the decks agressive posture (Giant Growth).  And with so much scavenge and removal even your lowliest creatures become mid-game monsters.  If only the fire cost but one red....

Lots of Rakdos love in here with the Lord of riots and the desecration Demon.  I went 41 total cards because I couldn't decide between a spawn of Rix Maadi and a second Explosive impact.  Splashed green for vraska and decided the trestle trolls would be a nice include as well. The four frostburn weirds might be a tad too red heavy, but the idea of having one out every game was too tempting to pass up.

Had to go Rakdos with this one.  The mana is much better it's better than a fair number of draft decks I've played lately.  This was a fun build, I liked the fact that they hid a sweet common based deck in the middle of a splash Uncommon-GW deck that that didn't have enough playables.

Rakdos seemed like the pick, simply because two demon flyers, 5 solid removal and an army of two value 2-drops is usually enough to overwhelm anyone.

I think I would only include 2 x Frostborn Weird for mana consistency and go 9-8 with mountains. Given my bombs, I would also play the otherwise meh Viashino Racketeer and dig hard to find / cast them (plus also, I would have the black scavenge creatures to pitch).

I wouldn't run the golgari splash (for Vraska) initially but would board in if my opponent had an unfair number of bombs or the game was likely to board stall.

G/B and variations on that have too little removal. Splashing Green for Vraska makes it too hard to cast the frostburns and fires. This deck should be fast enough to get by.
