You start with 33 helath and a magic item.

If a character is a hobbit they live in Bree otherwise it can be either a man or dwarf but if an Elf they live in Fornost.

"You are in the prancing pony inn in Bree the it is crowded and loud in the inn dwarves hobbits and men are about in the inn you see some hobbits go upstairs with a man who appears to be a ranger but you go back to your drinking. Minutes later you see them leave an hour later you leave the inn and as you go down the cobble stone road to your house you hear some horses and turn around and see seven black riders rushing into the inn you rush back to your house and go to sleep wondering what the black riders were looking for."

The next morning

“You wake up with a stir the sun barley rising you head to the inn to ask about the black riders it is not to long before you get there the door broken down there is no sing of Butterbur or Nob the inn is odd when empty a town guard walks in and asks you “Do you know what happened here?” You answered “I saw seven black riders rush into the inn last night.” “Black riders? They must have been the same ones who broke down the gate.” The conversation goes on for a few more minutes and then the guard leaves on urgent work you decide to go on a trip with your friend heading back to your house you stop at the blacksmith and buy a new dagger when you get back to your house you head to Fornost on Chetwood road”

The next day

“You arrive at Fornost at noon and find your friend at the inn. You talk about the black riders so you and your friend decide to go to Edoras after a quick stop at Lond Daer. So you and your friend go to your friend’s house it is in the middle of town and is the largest house in town near the market square it is easy to get the supplies you need for your trip”

You can add another player at Lond Daer if you wish but this is meant to be a two person campaign.

The next day

The next day

“You are able to get to Edoras by night fall. As you enter you see a man fleeing the city and hear a guard yell “Good riddance with you Wormtongue.” You enter the city and find rooms in the Snowbourn inn. The next day all those in Edoras are told to head out to Helms Deep” Now would be a good time to head to the market and buy whatever you need.

“Midday you are attacked by a group of Goblin warg riders the battle lasts 2 hours you reach Helms deep by night fall and are told to man the walls for the battle of Hornburg the orcs attack by night fall”

Note it was hard to put in months of battles and travel.

Date March 3 1019 the battle of Hornburg begins

“The battle lasts all night and most of the day it ends at noon. Theoden sets off for Isenguard and reaches there the following day. You set off to Minas Tirith two hours behind the wizard Gandalf. You reach there on March ninth you are told by a general of Gondor to head to Osgiliath.”

“You rush back to Minas Tirith on the 13 and report that Osgiliath was lost. The following day Minas Tirith is besieged.  On the 18 the siege ends and you are told to head to Mirkwood to brake the siege ate Dale.” This is where it all ends do whatever you want but first you have to break the siege at Dale.

Not quite sure what to make of this.

I do sometimes railroad my PC, to an extent. But this is sort of overboard, for my tastes.

Maybe if the PC had a reason to leave his home and go to Edoras ... and not sure what the point of going to Bree is if you are just going to turn around and leave the next day.

There is some intresting ground work here ... but not enough to connect point A to point B.

maybe they have some family in Edoras or maybe the decided to help with the war against Mordor the reason is up to the PC.

Ok ... lets say your PC are just two hobbits. As best I understand what you have written this seems logical.

1 - Hobbits would not get involved in the war, unless forced.

2 - Hobbits don't live in Edoras.
well then. that makes it hard. not sure what to do then.
