infect against indestructible?

How does infect deal with indestructible creatures?  Does it permanently get rid of them or do they ignore the effects?
Indestructible only stops destruction from lethal damage and destroy effects.  Since infect puts -1/-1 counters onto the creature, they'd hit the graveyard once their toughness was reduced to 0 (as a state-based action).
Dying from having zero or less toughness is NOT destruction and so indestructibility doesn't care about it. If a creature has zero or less toughness, for example from taking at least its toughness in damage from sources with Infect, it will go to the graveyard even if it's indestructible.

Note that you have to actually reduce its toughness to zero or less. If, for example, a 3/3 indestructible creature takes some normal damage for whatever reason, then blocks a 2/2 with Infect, it is a 1/1 creature with some damage on it; this would normally destroy it, but since it's indestructible this can't happen.

The fact that there are counters involved has nothing to do with it. This is just as true of things like Disfigure.

I'm sure the -1/-1 counters have something to do with it, since they are what would be lowering the creatures toughness to zero, they're just not the only way to get a creatures toughness to zero. lol

STEP 1: Find your cousin STEP 2: Get your cousin in the cannon STEP: 3 Find another cousin
Note that even "regular" damage is assigned, dealth and marked on indestructible creatures. Indestructioble is not protection, the damage is NOT prevented.
