Was tempted to go green but with no gates and only one creepy vine I found it to be not worth it. White Blue gives a bit of removal but the amount of fliers here is just to much to pass up. Also give me my favorite combo soulsworn spirit + Knightly valor.

There are obviously other builds here but I think that the red gives us awesome removal along with some much needed aggressiveness for this deck. I think that 3 colors are doable here especially with the keyrunes available. Another approach would be to use the green bombs opened in this pool. I think that would look something like this:

The mana on this could be rough. Even though black has the earliest drops, I still have to give more White and Green mana sources because they could win you the game even if you get behind.

Given the choice between the two decks build I would run the 2nd of the two because I haven't had consistent success with an Izzet deck in RTR sealed.

There really wasn't any one color or even guild which jumped out at me. So looking at the bombs led me to look into their colors. While no color is particularly strong (with the exception of Red, which doesn't have a lot of mix going for it and is actually fairly color intensive) I felt that the BGW mix meshed fairly well. Armada Wurm is a bomb to be sure, but it's just not going to cut it for a splash when the only mana-fixing is a Gatecreeper Vine and a Seek the Horizon.  Plus White has some fair removal and good combat tricks, which will go very well with the Armada Wurm's token. You just don't have to be shy about using them when they're good without having a token out.

There is an abudance of 4+ toughness red / blue cards here. Essentially you get out a strong defence and then use flyring to kill your opponent. Not sure whether to play trostani's judgment or avenging arrow. The deck can afford to pay 6 mana, but it wont be getting much from its populate effect.

Black green did seem like an option but the lack of many strong green cards makes me not want to go there.

You are Red/Blue!
You are Red/Blue!

I built the same deck as nightwyrm except with Frostburn Weird and Crosstown Courier in for Knightly Valor and Rootborn Defenses, and an Island for a Plains.
Well, Izzet has the cards to make a strong 2 colour deck, but I'm a bit worried about how everything costs 3 mana:

UR seemed to have a good mix of early aggression and tempo, so I went with this. A ton of 3-drops, for sure, but those 3-drops have some fat bottoms, so they should be able to take care of things for you. The removal suite is decent, with 2 Annihilating Fire, Paralyzing Grasp, and Inaction Injunction to help you stem the early game, and Syncopate and Mizzium Mortars to take over the late game.

The only thing I'm worried about is the lack of a real bomb. Maybe I should have splashed white for Isperia, Supreme Judge...
Armada Wurm and Isperia are both very hard to pass, but all the good cards made me think Rakdos is possible, Mizzium Mortars cementing my decision. Then I noticed the 2 Izzet Keyrunes and the Teleportal, which made me realize I can actually splash blue.

I don't really like going three color with this format, but especially not with this build. The blue/white decks are reasonable, but I think Mortars is stronger than any of the white cards and double thug double fire outweighs the better 20-23rd card white gives you. The white is more consistent but I think the red is more powerful when it draws good, which I think is important.

That pool was a real puzzler... 3 good mythic rares and all kind of removal (which I seperate from the other cards, when I build a sealed Deck due to their importance). In the final analysis I decided for .

Have you read Ishmael? "Teacher seeks pupil, must have an earnest desire to save the world."
Looking at a midrange UR with a white splash.
Went for 4 plains and the addition of a keyrune for higher chances to bomb in Isperia and to more effectively drop in the hussar patrols.
Its the 2 annihilating fires that swung me more to red and the overall better quality of removal / creatures that swung me to drop the Isperia bomb rather than the Jarad or the wurm

With the brilliant bomb of Isperia as well as creature support for a tempo + flyers azourius build I resisted the temptation for go for red, since the deck was solid enough with just the blue-white. In addition I found the spells synergized nicely, with a number of token producers and populate spells that i'd play even without the synergy, eg trostani's judgement. The auras also go really well on any of the fliers or the unblockable spirt. The hussar patrol has 4 toughness which i think is great and comes in with flash to ruin combat for my opponent.

This was a great challenge as there wasn't an obvious "all the good stuff" guild and you couldn't greedily assemble an all-bombs deck.

Bombs: Armada Wurm, Isperia, Supreme Judge, One Side Wrath, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Removal: (1) Red x3 (2) White x2 (3) Golgari x 1 (4) Blue x 1

Here's how I analyzed the options:

(1) Azorius Pure

Was probably the build that would perform the most consistently, being mostly defensive cards but with an impressive flyer headcount. I took out the Arresters as the deck is already has a number of 1-toughness creatures, which aren't the best for blocking.

(2) Selesnya Red

Selsnya has a very impressive top end, better than the Azorius build, but is more vulnerable to falling behind early on. Running the two izzet key runes helps get there sooner and, along with the two green mana fixers, presents an opportunity to be greedy with the three best removal spells in red.

Its a greedy build which I think would when the mana performs as needed do best, but could equally become color screwed.

(3) Rakdos

Boring. Might steal wins from slow decks, but lacks the all-important two drops to do that consistently. The only reason I would run this is to try to pull off grave betrayal + mizzium mortars to satisfy my inner Timmy/Johnny. I found myself struggling with the 23rd pick, which is not a great sign.

(4) Golgari White

On paper this is the least powerful deck but in fact is the one that I would run. Firstly, it runs what I consider to be the bombiest of the bombs - armada wurm, and I think would get there on mana on cue. Secondly, its back-up bomb, Jarad, is just what you need to go over the top in a grindy strategy. Thirdly it can play aggressively early on if an opportunity presents itself. Lastly, I think with the low double-mana requirements it shouldn't be too disadvatanged by the three-color strategy.

A brief word about the slugs. With three creatures with reach, two others with regen, and a creature which can turn that fat butt into an army, I think it does everything you need to hold the ground whilst you get to the late bombs.

Considered UR for the consistency and WU for the power, but chose this build mainly because of the removal.  No real finisher, though.  The lack of mana fixing in this pool was challenging.

Fully recognizing that I am only playing 3 forests, but neither common bond nor courser's accord is likely to be played before turn 7 anyway, with a reasonable chance of having a forest by then. Armada worm a total trap here that can't work with the mana limitations.

This card pool I found to be more difficult than the last. There are sooo many options, and each has its own problems. Here are two decks that I think are the best two options one can come up with.

Interestingly, what I saw as the other good option tries to the win the game in a totally different way. This deck tries to control and stall out until the late game where it drops one of its bombs. The problem with this deck is the difficult splash for Armada Wurm and the somewhat lack of early game presence.

Although Green Black had bombs too, the mana curve did not end up being very good. Green by itself is weak and should only be a splash color.

This pool is so stacked that the biggest challenge is figuring out what to cut.

Right away, we note that we have two bomb mythics (Isperia and Armada Wurm), plus Jarad. Jarad isn't nearly the powerhouse that the other two are, but I'm willing to go either GWU or GWB depending on what the rest of the pool looks like. Looking at the rest of the pool shows us a significant number of high-quality Azorius and Selesnya cards, with some decent black, but not enough to pull me into that color. Red has Mizzium Mortars, but otherwise nothing that makes me want to play it.

Since our top end is huge, we want our early drops to stall the board and keep the opponent from getting ahead early. With that in mind, I made the following Bant Control deck:

There's a lot of room for play in the sideboard, here. I kept 2 Towering Indriks in order to stave off an attack of flyers, but I could replace one of them with another Hussar Patrol easily. We have relatively little removal and we can't afford to splash a 4th color, what with the Vines being our only form of fixing. However, we can bring in another Syncopate if we need to, and if we need more early blockers we can call on Frostburn Weird -- I kept it on the sidelines only because it costs UU in our deck, which may be hard to pay on turn 2.

I would be really happy to open this pool.

I personally think consistency is the key to any limited deck, and just having so much evasion (8, or over half the creature base) available is insane!!! With this deck, you're creating an armada of fliers that will quickly beat face while your removal and tempo cards stall your opponent out.  6 solid removals, 2 arresters, and a voidwielder are nuts! Downsize softens an alpha strike and switches the board to your advantage, and Knightly Valor creates a chump blocker while pumping one of your fliers. Add in ethereal armor, boosted by said valor or paralyzing grasp, and you have a deck that can potentially shut down other decks while eeking out a victory.
