So with this deck i was trying to go for bant control but i am scarce on the high end cards. Here is a list of what i have so far. Can you tell me if there are any cheap changes i can make to make it more competitive? How is the list as it stands right now?

Plainswalkers

Jace, Architect of Thought x2

Creatures

Centaur Healer x3
Gatecreeper Vine x3
Thragtusk x2
Restoration Angel x2
Armada Wurm x1
Trostani, Selesnya's Voice x1

Spells

Terminus x1
Farseek x4
Supreme Verdict x1
Detention Sphere x2
Oblivion Ring x3
Think Twice x4
Azorius Charm x3
Cyclonic Rift x3
Syncopate x2
Sphinx's Revelation x1

Land

Hallowed Fountain x4
Glacial Fortress x2
Temple Garden x2
Sunpetal Grove x2
Forest x6
Island x5
Plains x1
Is bumping after 17 hours okay?
24 hours, but whatever.....

cheap, not sure.  i'd want another sphinxes revelation, needs more supreme verdicts,  get the full set of thragtusks

gatekeeper things are terrible, you're much better off with borderland ranger, becaues they actually can attack and block profitably

If your going for a control like list then you definitely need some more Wrath. More Supreme Verdict or Terminus.
Do you have any Garruk, primal hunter? Tamiyo, the moon sage? They both have their uses in a deck like this.

Blue White CONTROL
I don't have any of those. My best bet is to sell of my more spendy cards to my local card shop. I would be losing like half the value though. There arn't many people around here to trade.
Well whats your local meta look like? This could give us information needed to help you tune it to your local area.

Yeah trade in value typical is terrible. If you do trade in though you need to be certain to commit to the deck for some time. Its really the only way to see a return on your investment/trades.
Blue White CONTROL
then run borderland ranger over the vines.  that's a virtually free investment and will have much better value for your deck.

I have thought about even running Borderland Rangers over my Centaur Healers in my deck as well. Help mana troubles.

Definitely run Rangers if you can't get playsets of Shocklands or the Dual lands.
Blue White CONTROL
i kinda think the bant can benefit from some more creatures, a lot of the UW control elements are nice, but the creatures available to the deck should easily be able to overwhelm crap like zombies.  plus, more dudes equals more threats against other control decks.  borderland ranger doen't seem like much against control decks, but it does mean they're forced to deal with it before you move on to your next threat.

I honeslty have no idea what my local meta game is like. This will be my first FNM in over four months. I used to play g/r aggro and just got back into the game. Do you guys think it would be stupid to trade in my:

blood crypt x2
overgrown tomb x1
steam vents x3
vraska the unseen x2

to get cards for my actual deck?
granted those cards are worth around $131
my trade in value would be half of that around $65
but that is my only real way of getting the spendier cards
i could use that to get a tamiyo, the moon sage and another thragtusk
Also, is it stupid to only be running 22 land for a control deck? I was running 24 but I found my self pulling way to many land. I figured with the gatecreeper vine and the farseek that i would be okay when it comes to land. Also would think twice benefit me at all here?
As a control deck you want to hit land drops every single turn. That being said if your running farseek and Gatecreeper/Borderland Ranger you need to run 25 atleast.
As a control deck it is better to have too much mana , than not enough mana.

control decks want to run usually between 25 and 27 lands

Alright, Makes sense. I just kept finding myself needing something to save my butt and all I would draw is land. So, what is your opinion on me trading in all of my none bant cards to complete my deck? Would you ever do something like that?

Well it depends. Are you using these lands or plan on using them? Cause if they are just going to be sitting around in a binder you mines well  trade them in to get cards that you will actually use.

I'm both selfish and rational. I'm scheming, secretive and manipulative; I use knowledge as a tool for personal gain, and in turn obtaining more knowledge. At best, I am mysterious and stealthy; at worst, I am distrustful and opportunistic.
I won't be using them anytime unless I want to switch to Jund. It will just mean i lose half the value on them because my local store gives 1/2 of what they sell it for.
I wouldn't run too many plainswalkers.  They get countered by great wall.

lol this does not answer my question!
I have gotten some more cards and have tweaked my list. Besides the obvious fourth thragtusk and the need for more dual lands is there anything else I should change?

Plainswalkers

I personly like GW charm a lot, since it has uses in most matchups as either fatty removal, stall against aggro, or takeing out geists by flashing in its token. Third mode is very situational, but combat tricks are always nice if its not costing you slots elsewhere. Not much else beyond that that you really need you are not already aware of. If you still have funds left over, and its relevent to the games you play, start working on a sideboard so you can tailor you deck to handle aggro better game two or to side in some counters against a control deck.

As for cyclonic rift, its normal mode is inferior to UW charm for the most part and its overload costs just a touch too much. One sided sweepers are never bad, but its likely going to be the first point of call when you want to swap something out.
Would counter spells like dissipate and negate be effective against aggro?
3-mana counterspells are pretty terrible vs. aggro, and so is Negate since it obviously doesn't hit creatures, but it can have some SB uses (against Rakdos's Return in Jund, for instance).

Syncopate, however, is pretty much useful against everything and I wholly recommend it.  Essence Scatter is criminally underused as well considering nearly nobody is running Cavern of Souls.  If you expect an aggro-heavy meta they might be worth running in some capacity.

Thanks for the input. I was also thinking of running elixir of immortality in my SB for mirror matches. What do you think?
So far my sideboard consists of:

essence scatter x3
syncopate x3
elixir of immortality x3

I was thinking of putting in 2 more oblivion ring and maybe some selesnya charm is there anything else that would be good against Jund aggro or control?

i can't tell if this is a serious question or not

It is, I am very novice when it comes to competitive play.

the answer is no, they are not

they're good against control and usually midrange things
