This thread is for discussion of this week's Sealed Deck Builder, which goes live Thursday morning on magicthegathering.com.
Thought I would try and cram as many bombs as I could into one deck.  So I went GUW.

Aggresive Golgari with Rakdos splash might work fine. Especially with 3 explosive impacts...

Completely difficult choice. Azorius has a good card, Selesnya also has, rakdos also has, golgari also...... but judging from the land. I should go for Selesnya combined with Golgari.

I tried a number of different builds around Armada Wurm and Supreme Verdict, first with 5 colors and then decided the mana didn't allow that.  So I pared it down to 4 and then basically 3 and a splash for black which I was already supporting anyway.   I also chose my color combination based on the creatures it allowed me to play and the curve.  The above configuration allowed for the most  quality creatures with a correct curve.

5 color good stuff. I grabbed all the mana fixing, almost all the removal, and hopefully the best creatures to fill out the curve. The colors are so evenly split that I don't see the deck functioning well. Perhaps I should have cut Izzet Charm and Thoughtflare for a couple 2 mana creatures.

On the otherside of the spectrum from 5 color good stuff is Selesnya with no splash. The idea is to lower the chance of color screw and always be able to play Armada Wurm if I draw it. This is the kind of deck that wants to win every combat step with creature superiority because the 2 removal spells have to be saved for bombs.
There were a number of ways this could go. By far the most obvious was selesnya-golgari, since that gave access to the biggest bomb (armada wurm), the best guildmage, a card which finds either (jarad's orders), the best mana fixing and a decent number of removal options. Splashing two blue sources also gives you access to supreme verdict, which with scavange creatures on the board, or an armada wurm in hand, will be hard for opponents to come back from.

The next option, I thought, was either Azorius-Selesnya or Azorius-Izzet. I went with Azorius-Izzet only because I've already built a selesnya based deck above.

I started with the strong white-blue commons and uncommons and branched out to white-green for more creatures, including the Armada Wurm. I didn't get many populate cards, so I didn't try to go that route for more creatures. The Keening Apparitions are good enough for creature removal as it is.

I went Selesnya with Blue splash for Supreme Verdict only.  I figure you should be able to race from 20 to 0 before Black/Red goes nuts with Explosive Impact.  I hoped that this build would be aggressive enough to kill off any 5 or 4 color creations that your sure to run into in this Limited format.

When looking at all the cards, blue was going to be the splash, with mass removal for all the agrow decks and having a huge wall it was going to be easy. Also the guild mage had to go in as that thing can win games on it's own and combos with cards like Stonefare Crocodile and  Stealer of Secrets it just gets awesome !! The reason i did not go down the red black green ally is well ... it's soo meh and has no real late game. Also with Supreme Verdict you have nothing to do after your guys are dead, however still a strong deck. Sorry for my poor english !! ^_^

Went with the most removal possible.

With so little mana fixing options that branched off of green or black, I opted to merely splash a ltitle white for an Armada Wurm... keeping the deck consistent instead.  I'd rather be hitting the field, than being color screwed, even if the opponent's responses might be a bit better when they get the proper land drops.

Sooooo much friggin value out of just cracking packs in RTR.

Went Bant like a lot of other folks, but I'm not gonna lie:  I'm looking at those Explosive Impacts with tears in my eyes.  But I don't think the mana base will stretch that far comfortably.  I'd totally do it if I had another pair of transguild promenades though.

Edit:  screw it.  I'm going 4-color, forgot I had an Izzet guildgate, but only 1 explosive impact I think.

MaRo: One of the classic R&D stories happened during a Scars of Mirrodin draft. Erik Lauer was sitting to my right (meaning that he passed to me in the first and third packs). At the end of the draft, Erik was upset because I was in his colors (black-green). He said, "Didn't you see the signals? I went into black-green in pack one." I replied, "Didn't you see my signals? I started drafting infect six drafts ago."

I had a tough time choosing too.  I don't like going with more than 2 colors, but I went ahead with 3 this time.  Since I went with 3 colors I included the 3 Street Sweeper cards as they are colorless and would be easier to play in multi-color decks.  Any feedback would be welcomed.

Only glaring error I can see off the bat is that if you aren't running white you should cut the selesnya guildgate for a basic land.

Edit:  same with blue and izzet guildgate.'

Edit2:  and where are your explosive impacts?

I only put the guildgates in to give the card Ogre Jailbreaker a chance to attack. I thought about putting in the Explosive Impacts but the 6 mana cost prompted me to hesitate.  In trying to keep a balance between creature and non-creature spells, I eliminated the Explosive Impacts since most of the other non-creature spell cards could do some creture destruction for less of a cost.

I did consider these factors when I built the deck, and I do have my doubts about the way I have built it, but such is the give and take for magic deck building.  Thank you much for your input.

I came up with this. I would like more removal, but it's a little short.

Hmm, I found this very tough because you almost want to go 3 colors here, but no real mana fixing.  Yes you have duals and gates, but really not much to find the colors you might want.

Also there wasn't a ton of any one theme, but then I guess this might be the problem in sealed with this set.

I pushed in some marginal main deck cards to keep myself at only 2 colors.  Red and Blue lack creatures, Black was possible, but didn't really pair up with W or G well.  So G/W was where I went.

Don't sleep on Rubbleback Rhino, with the number of scavenge you have, you can make this hexproof a bomb quickly.  Very slow deck though, some R/B and G/B will tear through this.  You definitely won't worry about enchantments with 4 maindeck answers to them.

GOD This was seriously difficult. Trying to make the deck both consistent and powerful is a nightmare. This might turn to be the most skill-testing sealed environment in years.
This is a challenging pool at first glance, and I do understand why you might force black for the Stab Wound and Ultimate Price, red for the Explosive Impacts and maybe Izzet Charm, or both for all those plus the Auger Spree and Dreadbore. I like the GWB lists above, as G and W are clearly the deepest creature pools here, and the black removal is good - you could probably also go GWR.

But the four-color builds that claim they're "splashing" a fourth color are probably stretching a bit too far. The most consistent deck overall in this pool is GWu, which gives you an incredibly deep creature pool, lots of evasion, tons of good Knightly Valor/Common Bond/scavenge targets (from fliers to Stealer of Secrets to Korozda Monitor), a Supreme Verdict alternate plan, and so much pump that you almost don't need any removal anyway. The creature pool is so deep and aggressive that you can easily cut some of the best defensive creatures in the set: Hover Barrier, Hussar Patrol, Armory Guard, and to a lesser extent Bazaar Krovod.

For me, the difficult cuts here aren't the (theoretically) splashable Impacts or black removal, but Syncopate and Inspiration. I concluded that this deck was aggressive enough to not need controllish support cards like those, but it might still be wrong to cut Inspiration. Lastly, with so much pump in the pool, I never considered Avenging Arrow for the maindeck.
