I don't see the point at all of running green in this it adds literally nothing but a much less stable manabase to the deck.

Because Quirion Dryad is fantastic? It also lets me side in Ranger's Guile against the uncounterable removal that rips this list apart.

What makes Quirion Dryad so fantastic..?  I kinda had this notion that it was Phyrexian mana, but call me nuts.

Also don't like Syncopate, and not only because it's a relatively blah card.  In tempo decks, the whole point is that you don't have the mana to outspend people.  Most of the time Dissipate is just much better.  Which isn't a tempo card either.

Welcome to 2012. Blue has the most efficient creatures, black has the all-in monocolored aggro deck, the most controlling deck in the format is green-red, control decks lose to aggro in attrition wars, and counterspells aren't an answer to fatties.

I'm also making a RUG delver deck for post rotation. It's turning out pretty well.

List looks alright, only things I have to say about is:
I'm not a big fan of Nivmagus Elemental, very rarely do I want my own spells to be countered.

Syncopate is not good in this deck, simply because you don't want to be leaving a lot of mana open, you want to be doing more things.

The great thing about the Nivmagus Elemental is that if your spell gets countered, just exile it get the counters and laugh any ways.

I do agree that Syncopate should not be in this deck.  Here is hoping they print some lower casting cost counterspell that will fit in here.
I think what RavenJason is saying is that the Elemental effectivly counters your own spells when you would be wanting those same spells to have an effect on the current gamestate. Also if the only use for a spell in a given situation is to provide 2 +1/+1 counters to the elemental you should be quite ahead of the opponent anyway. I actually feel that the optimal time to play and use the elemental is turn 2 make it a 3/4 right away, or lategame when you're already winning.
