So, Rat tribal in RtR? I guess that makes sense. I can think of a few cards I wouldn't mind having in my graveyard.

Yes it does.

This card is actually so good. Step one to being me was making some B/R variant. I am not disappointed.

Whoa.  That's really good.

ofc. my opinion is probably slightly off as I just crushed a draft with piles of Timberpack Wolfs.  But still.

They should have printed this in orignal Ravnica to make Hellbent suck less.
Oh my.

I was just thinking about putting a Relentless Rats commander deck together for my buddy, looks like I have a new card to add to it.
It's a rat.  I love it.
So great.  So, so great.
Yes! A great rat! I was hoping to see one here and I am not disappointed.

Just a quick note on the MMORPG as an insult comparison... MMORPGs, raking in money by the dumptruck full. Many options, tons of fans across many audiences, massive resources allocated to development. TTRPGs, dying product. Squeaking out an existence that relys on low cost. Fans fit primarily into a few small demographics. R&D budgets small, often rushed to market and patched after deployment. You're not really making much of an argument when you compare something to a MMORPG and assume people think that means bad. Lets face it, they make the money, have the audience and the budget. We here on this board are fans of TTRPGs but lets not try to pretend none of us play MMORPGs.

Telling someone to move over a few feet is magical now? :| I weep for this generation.
Given the laziness and morbid obsesity amongst D&Ders, being able to convince someone to get on their feet, do some heavy exercise, and use their words to make them be healthier must seem magical.

Awesome! <3 maybe not the strongest tribal but I use a rat deck to playtest all my other decks and own a playset of every ratcard there is.
Some new additions are always welcome.
Strictly better than Swarm of Rats. I'll buy 4.

The tribal is in dire need for a cheaper lord than Marrow-Gnawer though.
There is quite a few reprented rats in M13. I was kinda wondering why I saw so many while I was scanning the index. Now I know why lol.

I could see a decent g/b rat deck pulling this out, with a strong discard secondary theme. While mana ramping and token generation.

One is "quite a few"? Heck, even Innistrad block only had Typhoid Rats.

Come join me at No Goblins Allowed

Because frankly, being here depresses me these days.

ah no, ur right, I was thinking something else.
I still thought that it was wierd they printed the rats, it felt out of place.
Those Typhoid Rats are nothing to scoff at.  I want to build a competitive rat deck now. =DDD
Favorite set: Arabian Nights Favorite planeswalker: Taysir, the One Made of Five Favorite book cycle: Ice Age Favorite creature type(s): Elephant (W), Minotaur (R), Shade (B), Spider (G), Cephalid (U) Myr (Artifact) Pauper: Monoblack Control Modern: Zombie Tribal; Unyaro Stax Cube: The Moons of Mirrodin
Rats need a Ratlord with "Rat creatures have fear."
Strength boost not even necessary. Toughness would be nice though.
That's all they need imho.
Yes it wouldn't work that well with Typhoid Rats, but great with the rest of the swarm. Also ninjas.
Such a simple name, yet such a powerful card.

Ooh this is good and fun. Makes me want to make a rat tribal deck.
Plays well with hellbent-Rakdos for old ravinica support, + Squeek
Am I the only person who was disappointed when I saw the art and Dean Martin was not in it?
Next thing you will tell me Browbeat is bad.
I love the way the new Ravnica cards synergize with the old Ravnica cards.

I feel like I need to pick up some playsets of Ravnica block and make some theme decks to play casually. :D

Or a giant cube?
Finally a mass rat card that doesn't suck. I like the fact that beside strenghtening itself, it can be used as an enabler too. The cost is very aggressive I think (which is good), I'd expect a card like this to cost 3CMC.

This is a limited bomb. I can't wait for people to not realize that and pass it to me in drafts.

This is a limited bomb. I can't wait for people to not realize that and pass it to me in drafts.

I know, right? Many players will just see it as a Relentless Rats or a 2CMC 1/1 with an overpriced, useless ability, but really it is a decently priced bomb whos body-value gets exponentially bigger each time you activate the ability. And it doesn't even need to tap. And you only need one. And you can splash it. It doesn't seem like a threat to warrant removal until you have one or two tokens out, but by then, you have three 3/3s who each have the same ability. Really hard for opponents to get around this with anything other than brute force.

With this under your control, no card draw is a bad card draw (mana allowing, of course). Will be interested to see what kind of common card draw comes up in RtR, although it's not even necessary.

Phenomenal limited pick. Definitely rare for a reason.

Standard Pauper! (play it on MTGO)
There is nothing bad about this card.

It's missing the Spellshaper creature type.

It doesn't tap, so I do think it quite counts as a spellshaper?

Right, doesn't tap. Now there is nothing bad about this card. I am satisfied.
