Woops. yes.
For Draining Engine, when it says that the target player "activates a mana ability", does that mean he or she must pay for the abilities, too? If so, what happens if they don't have enough mana to do that (i.e. if one of the permanents has a mana-filtering ability)? Does it just fizzle for that permanent?

All cards I make have artists credited in the appropriate places. Artist names in "quotes" are DeviantArt usernames unless otherwise mentioned.

"I play a Grave Betrayal. I get all your dead things now, mwahahahaha!"
"Okay. I play a Phage the Untouchable. Piss me off and I will sac it."
"... ... ... so guys, remind me again how to sac my own enchantments?"

Consume Knowledge seems extremely good...Instant speed 3 cards for ?

Might I just interject that making this a meme is the worst idea in magic in my opinion. It is too overpowered. It encourages cheating it in play. Essentially 99/100 times it is cheated in play instead of hardcast. Not only that, but you essentially win when it comes into play.

Make five-color hybrid tribal instant with buyback, kicker, cycling, card draw, token production, a steal effect, alternate casting cost and landfall that embodies the love that your mom and I share.
I think you just killed all chances of my card being elegant. Ardency :1mana::symwu::symbr: Tribal Instant - Soldier You may have target opponent gain control of 3 permanents you control rather than pay ~'s mana cost. As an additional cost to cast ~, choose two creatures you control, and sacrifice the rest. If you control a soldier, you can't sacrifice permanents this turn. Landfall - If you had a land enter the battlefield under your control this turn, instead choose 4 creatures. Kicker You get an emblem with "As long as you control both chosen creatures, they have protection from everything." If ~ was kicked, creatures you control get +1/+1 for each creature card in your graveyard until end of turn. Cycling :2mana: When you cycle ~, put two 2/2 Soldier creatures onto the battlefield. Would this EVER fit on a card?~
Aside from a few wording mishaps (should say "each chosen creature" because it's not necessarily two) this is nice. Very simple and elegant. I like the alternate cost a lot, and the kicker goes nicely with the sacrifice. However, the cycling seems a bit powerful (4 power and a card for 3? Cycling is supposed be bad. 8/10 EDIT: Just looked up "ardency". Lol.

I don't think a world that sacrifices so much would want to stop the making of children .
Vivisect =/= vasectomy
Now I just feel silly.

Yeah, Consume Knowledge is broken. Compare Recollect and Divination.

Briony has a really disappointing ultimate.  Compare him to the BW Sorin.
\o/
Draining Engine seems rather narrow, unless you use it on yourself, which doesn't really seem like what it was meant to do. Consume Knowledge is waaaay too good, Divination + Regrowth at instant speed, insane. Briony, Dark Adventurer's token generation seems too strong.
I was too distracted by that woman's enormous breasts (seriously, what the hell) to notice Consume Knowledge was an Instant.
Banonkers.
Besides that, blue isn't supposed to be able to get back anything, instants, and sorceries.

I suppose Briony's ult is more reasonably boring when one considers that it's easier to reach than most ults.
Still boring though.
As other people are saying, Consume Knowledge is too good. It should be uncommon, a sorcery, and cost at least 4U on top of fetching only instants or sorceries. Draining Engine seems a little wonky, but it's pretty much Drain Power as an artifact. The wording is at least correct. For Briony, I'd bump the cost down to 1BG and reduce the amount of tokens to one. Rethink the ultimate.

The other cards are pretty much perfect.

I like this version better. And Consume Knowledge went to but is staying at common, and changed to return only instants and sorceries.

They're not that enormous, especially if you consider the possibility of magical push-up bra technology

They're pretty large. Admittedly, Kevin would probably scoff at their tinyness. But I'm having difficulty thinking of a real card with larger ones.

Only Hillcomber Giant comes to mind - but really, those totally don't count.

Bloodthirst 1.

Also, Brion Stoutarm.

And a t6 Vindicate is only good when it's on really nice legs.

The only problem with the golem is that it's an artifact creature. (It's just a personal thing. I prefer artifacts colorless, and only tolerate green ones as part of a cycle.) Expert Workmanship has a similar problem: Green likes creatures, but absolutely can't stand artifacts. Plus, Trollhide.

EDIT: Had the wrong angel.

I can, easily, see Expert Workmanship being blue with a green and blue regeneration cost since green has Naturalize,

Thanks. I try and put artist credits in whenever possible. Especially because these artists deserve it.

Regarding Briony, i've changed her ult from  -5 to -6, but now it destroys two target permanents, and adds mana in any combination of and/or , which makes it more useful i think.

As to colors, the set these cards are in is heavily artifact influenced (think Alara, but with a much different backstory/setting). Lots of colored artifacts and interaction with them. And yes, green typically dislikes anything inorganic, but not in the plane my set takes place in.

The color pairings are Blue+White vs Black+Green, with red being more of a 'mercenary' color and fitting in everywhere.

Should Expert Workmanship grant +2/+2 instead of +0/+2? I usually enjoy balanced p/t boosts because it creates less confusion when you have a lot of effects stacked on one creature.
So if I were to make a block, could I make a counterspell for because that's how it works in the plane my set takes place in?

Sure, why not? If it fits flavor-wise and mechanically within your set, that's fine. In case you haven't noticed by looking at the cards I post... I tend to design within a much more broad envelope than some other more stubborn users here...

I don't think that's a fair comparison.  It's more like a block where Blue cares about graveyards (and even gets to bring creatures back from the dead), or where White can put -1/-1 counters on things.

Remember that regenerating an artifact isn't outside of Green's color pie, especially when it encourages being played on an artifact creature.  It feels a bit odd without any context, but stranger things have happened in service to a block theme.

I have been arguing since forever that

Card That Makes Exactly As Much Sense As Plummet

Instant

Counter target blue or black spell.

What? Green's enemies are blue and black. Do you deny that?

should exist. Of course, I was being sarcastic.

Well, there's Rust. However some stuff could make flavorful sense. Like this:

Sudden Cacophony-

Instant

Counter target sorcery spell.

Draw a card.

"I can't even think straight with all this damn noise!"

-----------

Or this:

Deep Instincts -

Instant

Counter target instant spell or activated ability.
