This thread is for discussion of this week's Perilous Realms, which goes live Thursday morning on magicthegathering.com.
Match reports don't really fit here.  Not a fan.  1 match is not indicative of anything, let alone Standard viability.  Also, it was the most boring part of the article.  It'd be one thing if you were reporting on an awesome game in a high-tension match, where both decks are stretched to their limits.  But complex and interesting this was not.
If Pod can't be called Zombies, then neither can Zombies.
One thing that stands out about all of the dominant decks at the moment is their dependence on "enters the battlefield" effects, making [C]Torpor Orb[/C] the best postioned hoser card in Standard at the moment...just sayin'.
Why aren't people playing 1x Mindslaver in their Tezz/Trading Posts decks?  11 mana and enough goats=You control your opponent's turn for the rest of the game.  Def. seems like a more certain win than what is currently used esp with Treasure Mage.  I mean Alan Comer was using 1x in his deck that didn't even have Trading Post yet.
