Long time no see, CharOp

Hey guys,

It's been a while, but I've finally shaken off the system saturation and decided to make my comeback to the forums. I can see that some things have changed quite a bit since I've been gone, so I'll do my best to get up to speed in the coming days. I'll also be looking to update some of my Handbooks, provided people are interested in seeing my take on things once more. Let me know which ones you'd like to see (though as a surprise to no one, I'm doing the Ranger's first Tongue Out). These updates will take a bit of time while I digest all the material, but I will get them done if that's what people want to see.
Holy crap, you're back! I thought you died in that freak 40k accident!

A list of CharOp Handbooks I'm currently updating:

Heart of the Dragon: A Dragonborn's Handbook

Infernal Wrath: A Tiefling's Handbook

Welcome back! I've never interacted with you directly before, but I've read so many of your guides and heard your name mentioned (in a good way) so often, that it makes me happy seeing your "comeback."

Thumbs up for the Ranger guide.
Welcome back.
Do we have to slobber love all over you?

"There's an old saying that all it takes for evil to triumph is that good people do nothing. I've always had a problem with that. If you do nothing to oppose evil, then how are you 'good'? To turn aside and allow evil to flourish is to collaborate with it. You ask for mercy. You claim you have done nothing. That 'nothing' is why you deserve no mercy." - Lorian Karthfaerr, drow paladin of Avandra Robin Laws says I'm a Storyteller:

You're more inclined toward the role playing side of the equation and less interested in numbers or experience points. You're quick to compromise if you can help move the story forward, and get bored when the game slows down for a long planning session. Hi Welcome
I can't wait till you update some of your handbooks but I think some of them have been redone already.
Welcome back LDB.

As it's been mentioned, some of the Handbooks have been re-done (though with a great deal coming straight from yours and credit as well) recently, I think the Warlord and maybe the Ranger as well, but I might be mistaken.
On a personal preference, I'd like to see the Figther and Knight getting a refresh.
Welcome back LDB!

Glad to see you back, big guy.
LordHandbookBlade is back! Awesum. ;)

Personally, I would love to see some Barbarian love. I think Armisael is on it though... maybe a joined effort could make it really epic :D
Welcome back!!!!!

Good to see you again, LDB.
Welcome Home. I would like to second the Fighter Hanbook up-date. I would have loved to see your take on the Berserker, it just strikes me as a class designed for you to optimize.
I was surprised to see you lurking in the next forums yesterday.

The game has added a lot of themes and a whole new wierd barbarian build since you left.  No one has done that much on the new barbarian at least in charop.

That's because there's nothing to do with them. You take the exact same powers as a standard Barbarian, but have one different feat.

Unless of course you design them as a pure defender. In which case you take a couple of rock solid at-wills, some craptacular encounter and daily options, and a single 'break glass' Primal power. Then you hang your hat on having the most spectacular AC in the game.

In a party full of ranged allies, preferably sporting a little forced movement among them, Jarring Smash, Defender Aura, and AC L+23 will create a little havoc.
Welcome back!

Welcome back, sir!
Welcome back, LDB.

I too would love to see your opinion on the Berserker, since it seems like it'd be right up your alley.
I had to step out of lurking when I saw this because I never thought I'd see the day. Welcome back!

That's what she said.

Really CharOp? 8 Hours and no one said it yet?

Glad to have you back, LDB.  Looking forward to your thoughts once you get caught up.

We've never met, but I've long been a fan of your charge-and-frost-cheese optimizations.  :D

Seriously, though.  Good to have you back.  You're quality peoples.  Looking forward to hearing your opinions on some of the new stuff.
