Wow - this was a pool I would love to have opened. I saw an interesting BW "one big creature" deck but it was probably too easy to disrupt. I went with a bit safer option in UW flyers / control.

I think the scrolls are pretty significant here. At worst, they cycle for . At best, they keep you in the game and dig for the card you need.

Mostly Artifact and Card Discard, some of the soulbound creatures are well designed.

I just didn't like white in this pool.  I may have got this wrong but I ended up with a 3 colour human beatdown deck.  Normally, I don't like to play 3 colour but with 4 fixers in the deck I think it will be fine.

I decided to go there with the B/W deck.  I found it difficult to justify Homicidal Seclusion since a balance was needed between staying alive (aka. playing chump blockers and having only one creature on the board), however I felt Demonic Rising provides more value in that it could be setup by a timely Barter in Blood, ideally leaving Angelic Tombs and a new Demon.  The Angelic Tombs, scrolls, two mana creatures and Drivers are meant to work together to recur effects to keep us alive until we can drop Avacyn.

I'm glad someone went there - it was too interesting not to

I think if you are doing the one creature thing, you do want to run Homicidal Seclusion, perhaps over the second driver of the dead. When you finally get a creature on the board it can change the tide of the game in one swing. Having a second creature is probably not an issue since you have a couple of sac outlets. I would also have run the Vessel of Endless Rest over the 18th land - since you are unlikely to need a three drop as much as the five drop. For both those reasons, I would have been tempted to run renegade demon over holy justiciar - when you finally have a creature on the field you will need it to matter when you attack.

But that's just my opinion. I pretty much agree with your build otherwise.
This is my first run through, going UW fliers. I don't like the way it looks, but I could be underestimating it.

This was a tough build.  Without the artifacts it was difficult to fill a 2-color deck.  Black has the most cards, but it has a weaker creature base.  White has some strong creatures, but all towards the high end of the curve.  I first tried a blue white combo, but didn't like the feel of the deck so I replace white with green.  This feels a little better.  This is a tempo deck that may have some problems with aggro decks.

I liked red so I build another deck with red as the focus and blue and green backing it up.  I had in Gang of Devils, but replaced it with Tyrant of Discord.  With all the mana fix and red being the focus, having enough Mountains in play shouldn't be a problem.  With Borderland Ranger and Nephalia Smuggler in play I won't miss a land drop and get to 3 Mountains easily.  Plus once Tyrant is out with the smuggler active, I can start clearing the opponent's board.  This is a mid-range deck, but also could have an aggro feel with the right draw.  It can hold it's own against tempo decks and dominate with the Tyrant in play.  It has a strange curve, which may make for some awkward turns.

Interesting build.  I initally thought you would not have enough creatures with your sacrificing spells.  But with all the recursion in the deck, it may just work.  I don't know that it would play well either, but it would be fun to try.

Remove 1 Scroll and throw in Vanguard's Shield if you are just trying to stay alive.  This will make it difficult for the small creatures to get through and definitely help with the limited number of creatures in your deck.  It will probably save you more than 5 life, which is what you lose from taking out a scroll.  Attach the Shield to Moonlight Geist and you have a 2 creature fog each turn.  This was used against me at a prerelease and it was difficult to break through to deal damage.  Even with 4 and 5 power creatures attacking each turn.

It wasn't easy this week. Not a lot of creatures. I was almost tempted to try w/r for the cloudshift on the renegade but decided u/r for some reason...

I am a little surprised that no one else played the Druid's Repositorys. I mean it's not the greatest card normally but with two powerful but expensive equipment and two huge bombs I think it is worth playing.  The Wingcrafts won't come down turn 1 but will help with attacking through for the repository. There is no white mana but three counters should be very easy to get if not way more.

there were alot of playables in every colr so tha tmade it difficult. i like d the idea of going black white especially with avacyn but i think this buld would perform better in a tourney. I could be wrong though. either way i would not mind opening thisd pool.

Seeing the three scrolls, I decided to build angels.  Will it work? I don't know.  I have 7 angels, counting artifacts, then I added green for ramp, and another big creature.  Most of my ramp stuff also fixes mana, so I figured it wouldn't be too hard to splash black for Death Wind and Triumph of Cruelty.  If I actually opened this pool, I'd probably build something a little safer for game one, but this could be a cool experiment.  Fifteen life at the cost of no cards is a huge swing.

I toyed around with the idea, however the consistancy wouldn't be there for me even with two. What if I draw Avacyn in opening hand and/or real early in the game. Without the repository out would be stuck. Even if repository was out I'd have to have enough creatures/control to make it worth-while. I don't know. This week was pretty rough. Looks a lot like my luck with sealed in RL.

I didn't like the look of the White part of the pool - Avacyn was the big draw but there wasn't enough in there for me to justify playing white just for her. Even then, there wasn't enough in any of the pools that made me happy with a two-colour build. In the end I went for RUG humans, but I don't really feel too happy with this deck. The mana-curve feels all wrong, too much going on at the 3 cmc slot. That said, I've only been playing paper magic since June 2011 and I'm still getting the hang of this limited-sealed stuff. Maybe it's not as bad as I think it looks for the format. Either way. Would consider dropping the Banners Raised for either one of the Angelic Armaments or the other Amass the Components.

While this deck may seem to lack creatures, Angel's Tomb adds angels to my deck at least on my turn.  Angelic Armaments added to the deck gives me plenty of angels for using the 3 Scroll of Avacyn cards to gain good life and draw through the deck quicker.  The mana ramp from the 2 Druids' Repository cards, the Vessel of Endless Rest, and the 2 Borderland Ranger cards help to play the more expensive angels.  The week side to this deck is removal and direct damage, but I hope the wollop from the big creatures will compensate for this weekness.

Lockdown your Opponent and beat him/Her to Death with Flyers - gotta love White/Blue Control
I am absolutely flabbergasted that people are building decks that have 2 Angelic Tombs and 9 or less creatures.  Really?  How exactly are you expecting to even activate the things?

The pool here is W/R with a splash of Black.  White/Black could also work, but without a lot of reliable sacrifice outlets like the Vampire or Corpse Traders, I don't like trying to do the Loner thing.  Green is absolutely miserable in this pool, and I think building with it is completely incorrect.  Never splash for your mana fixing.  Blue has some nice cards, but there's really nothing there to draw me into playing it.

Our gameplan here is to plan for the long game.  We almost never want to go on the offensive, and instead use guys like Hanweir Lancer and Angelic Wall to block all day while removing anything we can't block.  Our Nuclear Wessels let us cheat on the manabase a little bit, as do our possible trick of dumping Avacyn with Dangerous Wager and later getting her back with Defy Death.  I don't like running Battle Hymn, but we're so strapped for playables and we're expecting to keep most of our guys, so it's not completely miserable here.

Overall we just have to be careful and use tight play to overcome the lack of synergy the deck has while we wait for Avacyn to land.  I don't like the deck, but I think it's a lot better then running multiple Angelic Tombs with no creatures.

Well I went G/B/w.  I figured with 4 color fixing cards I could afford Avacyn.  I also chose to go the loner route

The card I hated cutting the most was the Angelic Armaments, but I wasn't sure if I had enough creatures to support them.  I definitely knew I couldn't support the Angel's tombs so those went right out.  As for the 3 mental agony...I'm planning on a late game so I want to deny my opponent theirs.  I suppose I could cut one or two of those though, for one or both of the angelic armaments.

I didn't put in Driver of the dead b/c I didn't really see any good 2 or 1 drop creatures worth getting back.  Although there is butcher ghoul I'm thinking that's not enough.

The only interaction in the deck I actively DON'T like is that Demonic Rising turns off Homocidal Seclusion =/

Oh well, I think it will be decent, but not spectacular.  However it looks like fun to play.
It might be too slow though...dunno.  I'm honestly not used to building this kind of deck.

From Mark Rosewater's Tumblr: the0uroboros asked: How in the same set can we have a hexproof, unsacrificable(not a word) creature AND a land that makes it uncounterable. How does this lead to interactive play? I believe I’m able to play my creature and you have to deal with it is much more interactive than you counter my creature.

MaRo: One of the classic R&D stories happened during a Scars of Mirrodin draft. Erik Lauer was sitting to my right (meaning that he passed to me in the first and third packs). At the end of the draft, Erik was upset because I was in his colors (black-green). He said, "Didn't you see the signals? I went into black-green in pack one." I replied, "Didn't you see my signals? I started drafting infect six drafts ago."

MaRo: I redesigned him while the effect was on the stack.

I went with W/G/U Flyer Route with benefits.

Went for a 3 or 4 color deck because there were so many fixers in this pool. However, I couldn't find enough reason to make the manabase so varied and eventually had to cut the other colors because of space. However, this looks quite solid and consistent and would have no regrets playing it as is.

PS. I wish I would've had room to fit in Lightning Prowess to combo with the Alchemist. I'll save that for a U/R deck though.

On the topic of Treasure Mage: Hello planeswalkers. Look at your hand, now back to me, now back to your hand, now back to me. Sadly, your hand doesn't have a big game-winning bomb in it, but if you searched through your library for an artifact with converted mana cost of 6 or greater, you could get one. Look down, now back up, shuffle your library. Where are you? You're in a Magic game, and you're losing. What's that in your hand? It's a Wurmcoil Engine. Look again, the Wurmcoil Engine is now a ticket to Nagoya. Anything is possible when you cast Treasure Mage. I'm on a dragon. I went R/G/W Beatdown/Ramp to Avacyn. If she hits the graveyard, the Defy Death comes in real handy.

This build seems best.  It's hard to pass up Avacyn and black's got the needed removal plus other cool stuff.  I like the interaction between Demonic Rising and Angel's Tomb, also the Tomb and Barter In Blood:  it might be worth playing with both.  Grave Exchange is useful in keeping at least one and, if needed, only one creature in play on my side.  Vessel of Endless rest is helpful as color-fixer, but would be very cool and name appropriate as a foil for Undying if it had Flash - I wonder if this was considered by R&D.  Can this build last long enough to beat aggro?

Interface question!  Simple CTRL-V after SHARE doesn't allow the decklist to be transferred here like it does for the M12 Draft interface.  I have to drag it over to another open text file first, and then cut and paste it here.  Figure there must be an easier way?

Thanks.

The problem with this pool was getting enough creatures, which is important in sealed. The red rare creatures are really powerfull and making everything bigger, your wingcrafters jump into the air, with favorable winds should not be underestimated.

I splashed black for some removal, if you can stick the ping enchantment to the deathtouch black flyer you will be able to shoot anything on the board for 4 mana.

Blinking the Vanguard or the Tyrant will give you cardadvantage.

You have 2 amass the components to digg for all of this stuff.
