Elf ranger (two blade).  First name Theren.  Thinking surname with Oak in it.  Like Oakshield (but that sounds like a fighter) or Oakblood (not really feeling this one though).  Anything yall can think of that is preferably simple.  Compound word with Oak that fits elves.  I'm sure there is something awesome that just isn't coming to mind right now which is where yall come in.

Theren Oak-spreads-its-roots-wide-and-endures-the-ages ("Vuiliendinomarionrhiodh" doesn't translate very succinctly into the common).

. . . or Fallenoak, if you're into the whole brevity thing.

You could always rip off a little bit of Tolkein's elvish and translate one of those compound names into Sindarin Elvish, rather then have something in "common".

for Example oak = Doron and shadow = Dae

For a surname of Doron'Dae (or some other means of compounding the words together), which would mean "oakshadow" when translated into common.
for Elves, I usually do something nature (like Oak) and maybe a structure ( like Tower) So, you could use Oaktower, Oakfort, Oakchapel or even Oakbridge

How about:

Theren Oakridge
Theren Roanoak
Theren Oakheart
I'm guessing Oakblade is a tidbit too obvious. So:

Oakenedge. (oakedge might also be acceptable, but it lacks this one's roller coaster rythym)

Brokenoak (not sure if I'm digging the whole repetitive oh's, but adequate)

Oakspeaker (best "roll off tongue" of mine, I think; but might be too sage-y)

Oakbreaker (if you want to sound more forceful; the harsh constonant repitition gives a hard feeling)

Oakencutter (same principle as above)
