Pestilence + Planeswalker damage question

If your opponent has a Planeswalker in play, and you activate Pestilence, can you redirect the damage to the planeswalker? I THINK so based on the FAQ and stuff I found, but wanted to be sure.
If your opponent has a Planeswalker in play, and you activate Pestilence, can you redirect the damage to the planeswalker?

Yes. You can have the 1 damage that would be dealt to your opponent be dealt to a planeswalker that opponent controls instead. The damage to creatures and to you will be dealt as normal.

However, you can not redirect the damage Pestilence would deal to you to one of your planeswalkers.

Gotcha, thought so. n TY Goth for that note, while I thought thats how it would go, wasn't even thinking about that and that might have came up.
