Being able to steal planeswalkers is nice but 5 seems a little to pricey for constructed.

It works for stuff like fiend hunter because fiend hunter has two separate abilities.  One that exiles and then another that returns.  So cloudshifting while the exile trigger is on the stack triggers the return trigger which will resolve first and return nothing.

Since this card just has one ability.  Take control until end of turn, you can't cheat it.

Cloudshift is still awesome with it though.

Permanent.... I just stole your Ghost Quater and made you destroy two of your lands....

Permanent.... This may be a bit costly but the advantages that it could provide def makes up for the cost...but I'd say a 5cmc to steal a permanent for the turn is def worthwhile when it's a game changer that late in the game, which is likely.

Plus like someone else said Flicker is going to be retarded with this card...Red/Blue is looking better and better IMO, splash green for Noxious Revival for those Miracle Set ups...

It works for stuff like fiend hunter because fiend hunter has two separate abilities.  One that exiles and then another that returns.  So cloudshifting while the exile trigger is on the stack triggers the return trigger which will resolve first and return nothing.

Since this card just has one ability.  Take control until end of turn, you can't cheat it.

Cloudshift is still awesome with it though.

Obviously good card is obviously good.

Look, forget the "Permanent" clause for a minute.  Even if it just said Creautre it would be good.  Threaten is torunament-playable.  Now raise the mana by 2 in exchange for a 3/3 haste.  2 mana for a 3/3 haste is an incredibly good deal.  Hell, 3 mana for a 3/3 haste is tournament-playable.

Add to this the general synergy.  Both stealing with haste and attacking with haste = good surprise alpha strike.  And...this is exactly the kind of card red wants out of it's 5-drop: one that wins this turn, not nexy turn.

They are talking about using Cloudshift on the permanent they stole, thus placing it under their control forever, due to the wording of Cloudshift (or Ghostly Flicker for that matter).
This card could prove to be a lot of fun.

Man I love this card, if it is an accurate translation that it can steal any permanent, then I think I willl go nuts for this one. The card economy here is awesome, and the fact that this creature also has haste lets you really smash face out of nowhere. I also think my Heartless Summoning deck will like this guy. 3 mana for a super-Threaten and a 2/2 haste? I can get behind that :D
Ohh, I like the word "permanent" on this.  It would be hilarious to borrow your opponent's planeswalker and go ultimate with it.  Man, that Karn sure was beating the crap out of me...trololololol.

Word of Seizing, except not an instant but comes with a 3/3 haste body? Yeah, I kinda love this card.

EDIT: This does not work with Sundial because it says "until end of turn" as opposed to "at the beginning of the end step."

I think my Riku deck will be adding  this and ghostly flicker. It's kinda mana intensive. But two 3/3 hasters and the two best permanents on your opponents fields. And with enough mana, two of those. Or maybe not...but may be worth a shot.

Very strong in Limited obviously.  It will be similar in Limited to Markov Warlord most of the time except that you get to attack with their blocker this time.  In constructed this may see some play as a finisher in an aggro Red/Something build.
The first time I read this I thought it said "gain control of target creature". I was all like "A 3/3 hasty with a act of treason? So a 3/3 hasty would be 3 mana and act of treason is 3 mana. So it should be 6 mana but its 5 mana and very splashable. I like this I love controling things that aren't mine!" But then I reread it and I was like *GASP!* "Wha wha wha WHAT!?! Target perminant? Laughing Really now? Thats a 5 mana ability on its own. And you can blink her too?" *drools* I love cards like this. Even if it doesn't see competitive play I don't really care. This is a card I'll have loads of fun with. Thanks Wizards. You have given me a good red tool to use.
