Planeswalker - Tibalt
[+1]: Draw a card, then discard a card at random.
[-4]: ~ deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player.
[-6]: Gain control of all creatures until end of turn. Untap them. They gain haste until end of turn.
2
Preordered 4.
Real men hold shift. If everyone has their fingers in the pie, then someone is eating fingers.
Seems really good in RDW maybe there will be a resurgence of it. This guy is a control players nightmare might I add.
I'll probably have to MB Ratchet Bomb now if this guy gets popular.

Very cool. I was hoping that art would be for a legendary Devil, but a Planeswalker is cool, too.

He really seems quite bad, but his price will probably still be outlandishly high at first.

I don't see it. You have to do his random loot ability THREE times to get him up to Sudden Impact and have him survive. That's three turns to get answered, too long for a control deck.
Another reason to run Esper Control over U/B in the current meta.

Ok so maybe I was theorycrafting since I've never actually played RDW in my life it just looked strong to me on first glance.
It could very well be terrible I guess we'll have to see.

Some please tell me how I should feel about this card :/

Indignated as a red player.

The first ability is irrelevant (why couldn't they just keep it at regular looting?) and will sometime lose you games. The second ability takes three turns to happen once and by that moment the aggro opponent will have a nonexistent hand. The third one will often be Threaten if it does something at all.

Still not much hopes for red.
If Limited gets in the way of printing good Constructed cards... Screw limited
This card seems really bad
OMG OMG OMG HES A WALKER OMG I'M SO HAPPY <3333333
I like the Faustian angle. Draw a card, then pay the price.

I've tried to design two-mana Planeswalkers before, but couldn't quite get them to work; my angle was in black, and making the + ability purely negative for you (e.g. +2 Loyalty: You lose 3 life).

Unfortunately, I'm not sure he's that good. He can't generate card advantage (i.e. his +1 isn't draw 2 discard 1 at random), and he can't protect himself. All he can do is be a two-turn-delayed Sudden Impact that might mess up your hand, or a 4-turn-delayed Insurrection, if he actually survives that long.
Broken...

in what way? Sudden Impact on turn 3 isn't anywher NEAR broken.
If your opponent has creatures to Insurrection, he won't last long enough to fire it off.
I actually like how unassuming he is since people won't be conpelled to attack him right away. This way he just sit there digging you deeper into your deck. Personally, I would have liked to see his first effect be a +2 and have the others increased based on that, but that might make him to hard to answer early.

Over all you can't expect THAT much from a 2 mana walker so with that in mind he is sweet. Will pick some up for my R/U Delver deck.
Today I promised myself if this guy was a walker I'd buy a box. There goes my last dollars
I think if someone played this against me I'd laugh in there faces before shocking him out and promptly tusseling my opponent's hair to the tune of a reassuring "There, there...".
Meh.

Yeah, he comes down early... But he takes forever to do anything other than potentially screw over his controllers own hand.  Wants to be aggressive, but aggressive decks want to be doing something more reliable and applying pressure on turn 2.  Not durdling around for 4 more turns with this guy.

He get's substantially worse in multiples too.  But you also want to see him early, so you get stuck running more copies than you'd like.

Fun, I guess, but doesn't presently have a deck that wants it at all.  Not that I wouldn't prefer the first 2cmc walker to be underwhelming over a swing in the wrong direction of the power curve.

Maybe I'm missing something, but besides the mana cost he just doesn't seem that good....

You can't shock him. You won't get priority until after the +1 cost has been paid.
LandKraken, they retain priority after they resolve him, so unless they choose not to use his ability immediately after he lands, he'll be living through your shock with 1 loyalty.
Glad to see everybody whining about him. Hopefully, this results in him being cheap and me using him in an EDH deck with Library of Leng

Fine. Shock isn't severe enough anyway. He deserves to be incinerated.
He's not good, he's just good looking.

Let's compromise and go with Turn 4.
Up to 3 on turn 2
up to 4 on turn 3
down to 0 for the impact on four
Theory question:  isn't draw a card, then discard a card at random a drawback?  As you progress, you play your worst cards first (lands), and leave your best cards (removal, burn, creatures you haven't curved out on yet) in your hand.  As a result, drawing/discard at random should have a very good chance at drawing you a blank while discarding a good card.  Looting at least lets you sculpt your hand.  Even loading your deck with flashback spells doesn't guarantee you get value out of it, not to mention that all the flashback in the format either dig better than this or don't fit well in a RDW shell.  Am I missing anything here?
Wizards ate my account that needed no sig, so I guess I need one now.
Very niche.  His -4 and -6 abilities might as well not exist most of the time, and his +1 ability isn't good for too much.  Even if he's 2 mana, what do you gain?  Pretty much nothing most of the time, unless you're playing graveyard decks.  He can stop an attacker or two, but who cares when you're playing heavy red?  I guess if you wanna tap them out to not block, but I'd rather play an aggressive creature on turn 2.

I really like it in Burning Vengeance decks, though.  I can see this coming out turn 2 and filling up your graveyard, the eponymous enchantment turn 3, and then this guy is a lightning rod as he fills up your graveyard gradually.  If your opponents don't attack him (effectively netting you life), they get Insurrection'd.
Bonefire of the damned is keeping my hopes alive for red in this block
I don't really like this planeswalker. It takes too long to do anything, even if it costs 2. Maybe this should be treated as sideboard material for aggro against control.

It seems like the first ability should be normal looting rather than draw + random discard.
Known as Blitzer on most forums. Despite the username, I am male. Both sex AND gender.
This walker is really meh to me, the +1 ability doesn't serve you any good, at least not in the current standard meta.  It will usually screw you up rather than helping you.  The -4 ability is too far away, and by that time I don't know if your opponent will have enough cards in his/her hand to make it relevent.  The 3rd ability is just way to out of reach.

With that being said, this card does deserve to be in my madness discard deck (along with liliana of the veil and chandra ablaze).  That's the ONLY time I can think of where discarding might actually be beneficial.

I'm kind of glad to see underpowered walkers in a set though.  All the hype revolved around the walkers in the past few years, it is good to see that walkers are just being a part of the game rather than the icons of the game.  This could be a setup for return to ravinca, which might turn out to be awesome.
Terrible card, yet I want four.  He prety much seems like a down payment on an Insurrection you might not actually get, but his first two abilities are so downright pathetic in most scenarios that you just might make it since no one wants to blow the resources to kill him.

Of course, if you've got a lot of madness/flashback/threshold... He can play in casual, at least.

Is it worth burning a burn spell on him and not the opponent or one of his guys though?
Yes, another card for my Romeo and Juliet deck.

Funny story: InQuest Magazine (I think it was InQuest) had an oversized Chaos Orb which I totally rooked someone into allowing into a (non-sanctioned) game. I had a proxy card that was a Mountain with "Chaos Orb" written on it. When I played it, my opponent cried foul: Him: "WTF? a Proxy? no-one said anything about Proxies. Do you even own an actual Chaos Orb?" Me: "Yes, but I thought it would be better to use a Proxy." Him: "No way. If you're going to put a Chaos Orb in your deck you have to use your actual Chaos Orb." Me: "*Sigh*. Okay." I pulled out this huge Chaos Orb and placed it on the table. He tried to cry foul again but everyone else said he insisted I use my actual Chaos Orb and that was my actual Chaos Orb. I used it, flipped it and wiped most of his board. Unsurprisingly, that only worked once and only because everyone present thought it was hilarious.

Hi guys! So, I'm a sort of returning player to Magic. I say sort of because as a child I had two main TCG's I liked. Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon. Some of my friends branched off in to Magic, and I bought two pre-made decks just to kind of fit in. Like I said, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were what I really knew how to play. I have a extensive knowledge of deck building in those two TCG's. However, as far as Magic is concerned, I only ever used those two pre made decks. I know how the game is played, and I know general things, but now I want to get in the game for real. I want to begin playing it as a regular. My question is, are all cards ever released from the time of the inception of this game until present day fair game in a deck? Or are there special rules? Are some cards forbidden or restricted? Thanks guys, and I will gladly accept ANY help lol.
I have the same problem with women.

That's what RPJesus tends to do. That's why I don't think he's a real person, but some Magic Card Archive Server sort of machine, that is programmed to react to other posters' comments with obscure cards that do in fact exist, but somehow missed by even the most experienced Magic players. And then come up with strange combos with said cards. All of that is impossible for a normal human to do given the amount of time he does it and how often he does it. He/It got me with Light of Sanction, which prompted me to go to RQ&A to try and find if it was even possible to do combat damage to a creature I control (in light that Mark of Asylum exists).

I can't pass judgment on him, considering right there in the article it says there's a card that really helps this guy do work and we don't know what that is yet.
Yes, another card for my Romeo and Juliet deck.

This.

On an unrelated note, he's going for $89.99 for a playset on eBay. $22.50 a piece is pretty cheap for a preorder walker.
but still mind-numbingly inflated for something so obviously only barely fringe playable in a deck that doesn't exist or even really want or need it.
He might make for good red if volt charge hits the board. But that would be kind of a waste of t3. I say play him t5 and get him to 4 and kill something. But wait, red won't really have much of a hand at t5, do I really want to risk losing that same volt charge? Looks like this guy's a gamble, which   It seems Tibalt may be good at.
I think those of you that are wanting to play this in a RDW deck are missing the mark on where he is useful. IMO I think he can be very powerful in a deck that plays control and uses the graveyard.
