BAM!
I had a red/white EDH deck with Razia as the General that was okay, but Razia didn't really fit.

THIS is the general that deck always wanted.

Oh, there's only THREE flights, so it will probably be a three card cycle
G/W for Flight of Herons
R/W for Flight Goldnight
U/W for Flight Alabaster?
Wow. Now THIS is the angel I like. Holy cow. That's just awesome.
Basically a 10/10 flying first strike for 7. I like.
Now I want to know what the ten mana card is....NOW!
Hot damn. This is beastly in a multiplayer Kaalia deck.

Notice that it doubles damage to an opponent from "a source", not "a source you control", meaning that it encourages your opponents to attack each other.

Once again: Hot damn.

Also, is the possibly part of a cycle of four w/x legendary angels?

At this point it is VERY likely. Interested in seeing what the Black one will do.

Anyway, this is one sexy angel.
Solid gold for EDH. Not sure it's that good in Constructed, though I could see it replacing Elesh Norn in FRITES after rotation.

That's what RPJesus tends to do. That's why I don't think he's a real person, but some Magic Card Archive Server sort of machine, that is programmed to react to other posters' comments with obscure cards that do in fact exist, but somehow missed by even the most experienced Magic players. And then come up with strange combos with said cards. All of that is impossible for a normal human to do given the amount of time he does it and how often he does it. He/It got me with Light of Sanction, which prompted me to go to RQ&A to try and find if it was even possible to do combat damage to a creature I control (in light that Mark of Asylum exists).

10/10. Amazing.
This is completely ridiculous.  Unplayable in Standard but a beast in casual and Commander.  I'm so glad I have Kaalia of the Vast!
I love Boros and I MUST find a place for this in my Jor Kadeen and Basandra decks.

@SleetFox - This set is making Kaalia decks ridiculous.

As stated before, there are only three flights of angels, so I'd be willing to bet that the cycle will only be three angels.  The next one we see will most likely be a white and blue one.

Finally a Legendary Angel I like! This one has some fun implications. Fun if you can force your opponents in Multiplayer to attack.

Great in EDH, Limited bomb, likely not a standard card (not positive on this though).

I call one more Legendary angel- The leader of Flight Alabaster. Possibly UW.

Well, with the set being able the return of the Demons and Angels that isn't all that shocking

Yea, I just saw that. To be fair I would be a little shocked if we don't see at least one fallen angel, just that might end up as a mono black card.
Wow I love this card, and this set so far. Its time to bring Kaalia off the bench.
Bought a playset of clifftop retreat right after seeing her. Also, guessing alabaster flight leader will be blue, flavor suggests it as they like magic better.

"rounded up"

Half of one rounded up is still one.  It will still hit you and every creature you control for one.

EDIT:  Oooh, completely misread it.  Yesss. Prevent that dmg rounded up, so WOW, a lot better than I thought it was.
What can I say about this card. It seems Razia may have a new replacement for those who run her (I know someone trying to build a deck around her).

But once again, Kaalia of the Vast gets lotsa love

I currently run a deck for Standard, Modern, Commander and Legacy. For standard, I have a typical, horribly budget Rakdos Deck Wins. For Modern, I have a B/G/U/W Draw-go Reanimator featuring my favorite creature, Wurmcoil Engine. For Legacy, I'm trying too hard to break Pyromancer Ascension. I also run a Naya Zoo with all the oldies. For Commander/EDH, I'm running The Mimeoplasm. A little morals thing about me, I like winning through combos, but not infinitely. However quiet, I am a Christian, so feel free to tell me you are too, it's always a relief.

Wow.  I had to read the card a few times before deciding this was a must have for any EDH style deck that can run it.  Obviously immense in limited if the format is a bit slower than DII.
I skimmed through 3 pages to find the obligatory "Dies to doom blade" post (recently "fails to vapor snag" has threatened to take over), I am disappoint :|.

Di- Yeah I like this card, casual/limited bomb, reasonable cost, possible reanimator target against creature/burn decks. I dont see this ever replacing Elesh Norn though, what made Elesh such a valuable reanimation target was the -2/-2 which often wiped the opponents board, so even if she dies to spot removal right after being reanimated, she had done her thing. This though, has no effect until you untap with it.

Not that I am complaining, I prefer this 1000000x times over the retarded Legendary Angel.

Ugh. As much as I like this as (a) a legendary angel and (b) an EDH general, I just pictured the drafts which are going to be ruined by this card. Of course I don't know what else is in the set, but a card which effectively doubles the power and toughness of all your creatures whilst giving you a partial damage shield is just a bit too good even at 7 mana. She doesn't really die to damage (unless there's an into the maw of hell in this set) and you would need to block her with the equivalent of a 10/11 in the air not to take 10 damage yourself (and I don't want to think about that paladin that soulbonds double strike - hello one touch angel). Plus, you can't "lock her down" as her ability is so so relevant. This will win games that deserved a loss. Oh well.

If I were to guess, I'd say the last angel in this cycle (if the comments above are correct about that) will be , making a curve of legendary angels from 5cc to 8cc.

5cc - hexproof, your permanents can't be sac'd
6cc - see below (I would have gone with "your permanents have hexproof" but that seems insane)
7cc - first strike, your permanents get a damage shield and deal double
8cc - (avacyn) vigilance, your permanents are indestructible

My guess:

Angel of the Third Host -
Legendary Creature - Angel
Flying, Flash
Spells and abilities your opponents control can't cause your permanents to be exiled or put into your library.
5/5

A shame that a black-white angel now seems unlikely. I've always liked that color combo.
Sweet. I'm not even that excited about this card, I'm just glad that this set has an angel that I don't foresee myself hating. That being said, if I end up with one, it will definitely be going in my Kaalia deck, along with a few other cards that have already been spoiled.

Blue players get all the overpowerered cards like JTMS. I think it's time that wizards gave something to people who remember what magic is really about: creatures.
Initially yes, Wizards was married to blue. However, about a decade ago they had a nasty divorce, and a few years after that they began courting the attention of Green. Then in Worldwake they had a nasty affair with their ex, but as of Innistrad, things seem to have gotten back on track, and Wizards has even proposed.
You are my favorite. Yes you. And moments like this make it so. Thank you RPJesus for just being you.

10/10. Amazing.
She really doesn't have to untap to make an impact. She just has to survive the turn she's dropped. Making all of your creatures double effective for a turn has to count for something, especially in a Boros aggro build.

Cheat her in with a Quicksilver Amulet or something. Hell that would even give her flash and prevent your opponent from countering her.
I think it's worth noting that what she actually DOES is double the power and toughness of all your creatures, as well as double the damage dealt by every spell and ability you control. And she's a 10/10 first-striker with flying.

Oh, and she's fun with Pyrohemia. Deals zero damage to your side of the board, double damage to theirs.

Point is, she's a REALLY good creature. The only issue is landing her on the battlefield. I think she will replace Elesh Norn in every deck that doesn't try to hardcast her, or at least be a solid sideboard alternative.
easily the most exciting angel in the set thus far. it seems absolutely ridiculous in limited, and generally really fun to play with.
i think maybe they want a little more upside, this angel is so powerful it's dumb...

mayael the animar has a new friend...all the angels that are being released are pretty nice for her.

I hate every Angel in this set so far. They're all just big, dumb beatsticks with oppressive abilities.

Okay, I take that back. Restoration Angel is cool. I guess I should say I hate every mythic angel.
Hoard of Notions: Cards and general design musings from yours truly.
So far, this is the only legendary angel I like for EDH. Lots of interesting ways to build around it as your general. I suppose it is good with Kaalia too, but with the ability to drop any angel, dragon or demon, it's not like she was really at a loss for busted creatures to drop.
Turn one Serra Ascendant, turn two Lightning greaves, turn three Soulbond paladinguy, turn four Kaalia of the vast into this would be a sweet 66 in total, in round 4. Not to shoddy

EDIT: In commander ;)

Magic Rafiq Control Deck [EDH][1vs1][multiplayer] [] Inferno Beatdown [EDH][multiplayer][1vs1][] Gwendlyn Combo/Control Deck [EDH][1vs1][] Merieke Casual Deck [EDH][multiplayer][] Roleplaying Magician class [D&D 3.5]

Wow, and the angels get another win.
