Hey there!

I recently built my first EDH deck (a Bant Jenara, controly deck) and now I'm addicted. After playing lots of games with the Bant deck, I decided to play something a little different. I tried going mono green, but I didn't really like it. One of my friends suggested mono-black, and I think it looks really fun. Anyway, heres the current list-

This one is meant to be more competitive than my other, basically tutor for combo pieces Bloodchief AscensionMindcrankRings of BrighthearthBasalt MonolithDrana, Kalastria Bloodchief...etc

Any suggestions? I've still got a few slots open.

Rings and monolith doesn't work because Rings reads 'if it isn't a mana ability

Reanimate because why not?

Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith can produce a large sum of mana if you copy the untap ability.

-tap monolith for 3
-pay 3 to untap
-pay 2 to copy
-monolith untaps first time and you respond to the 2nd by tapping it for 3
-monolith untaps second time and you tap it for 3
-rinse and repeat

Thanks for the catch, I overlooked that. I really like Grave pact and volrath's Stronghold, thanks for the advice!

Alrighty, I just edited the OP so that everything is in order by cost, for ease of reading. I also noticed that my creature curve is really high (I know this doesn't matter as much for EDH,) do I need to change it any?
Why is consume spirit, and ashnod's altar in the deck, you can't abbuse either of the the way your deck is set up. I understand exsanguate since you can get arbitraily large amount of mana, however consume spirit needs black mana. Also the black storage land wouldn't be bad for your deck. Mikeaus the unhallowed isn't bad for any type of black deck he gives somewhat useful protection from humans pumps all your creatures and gives you crazy resiliancy to a boardwipe.
Consume spirit is in there for extra kills, I know it takes black, but its not that hard to get around 30 black with the coffers and the untap land. Ashnod's is there for a sac outlet, I know it sounds narrow, but it helps if someone instant wraths me. Mikaeus is definately going in, I totally forgot he was a card.

Edit: I just threw alot more stuff in, and now I've got 109 cards Suggestions on what to cut? 
The following are just suggestions:

Reasembling skeleton because he seems weak.
Ashnod's altar, because you have like 2 cards that want things of yours dead
insidious dreams because paying 4 for a tutor is meh, especially when you have to discard, and when will your hand be so terrible that you make bank off of discarding them? Also, going into near topdeck mode and only getting them one at a time is really meh
Spine of ish sah because you have no way of getting it off yourself and no one will be bothered by it afer its initial cast
rings of brightheath because there's not many things you can copy thats not mana. Most of your artifact abilities are triggers.
Diabolic tutor because it's expensive and you already have like 4 other tutors
grim discovery: Beacon is good, volrtath's stronghold is good and rise from the grave is good. And they're all better.
Necrotic ooze could be better. I don't see why it shouldn't be replaced with an early game card with immediate effect.
