Of the two approaches to hobby games today, one is best defined as the realism-simulation school and the other as the game school. AD&D is assuredly an adherent of the latter school. It does not stress any realism (in the author's opinon an absurd effort at best considering the topic!). It does little to attempt to simulate anything either. (AD&D) is first and foremost a game for the fun and enjoyment of those who seek the use of imagination and creativity.... In all cases, however, the reader should understand that AD&D is designed to be an amusing and diverting pastime, something which an fill a few hours or consume endless days, as the participants desire, but in no case something to be taken too seriously. For fun, excitement and captivating fantasy, AD&D is unsurpassed. As a realistic simulation of things from the realm of make-believe or even as a reflection of midieval or ancient warfare or culture or society, it can be deemed only a dismal failure. Readers who seek the later must search elsewhere. - Gary Gygax. 1e DMG.

WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw... 2006.  I liked the GM mode so much that when they screwed it up in the '07 version I quit buying them.  And I have every Smackdown that was released up through SDvR '07.  I'm also piddling around with Dark Alliance 2 and Champions of Norrath 2.

Just picked up the new Resident Evil last weekend but haven't had a chance to play it since I was training all week, still working my way through Assassin's Creed, and Total Annihilation (I'm stuck on the first Core Contingency mission for the Arm, the Core navy just comes in and stomps me before I can build anything substantial).

I haven't played TA in years. I had tons of fun with that game. I wonder if I could still find the discs.

I just downloaded the demo for Exile: Escape from the Pit. The third remake of the original. I might check it out next week, but I am currently playing Geneforge 4.

I hear ya man, my favorite of the series was Smackdown vs Raw 2, actually i think it was just Smackdown 2, i think that was before they added the vs. Raw thing on there. The Season mode or whatever they called it was the best, it was like free play, story mode, and gm mode all in one, hell yeah, and every so often youd have to fight someguy who was just randomly thrown together with random pieces, and some of the cut scenes they had were just great, i was most amused when Al Snow won the beauty contest haha! SvR 8 was a good one too, or maybe it was 7? whichever one let you design your own championship belt, i thought that was really kool. Thats the thing with these games though they put in some cool new feature and take one (or more) out. If they would put all the cool features that theyve had into one kick ass game i think they would really have something!

Any way im currently trying to unlock the light heavyweight belt on the current game, according to the internet i need to win a title with rey mysterio, Rey now has 5 titles and i still aint got no light heavyweight belt, stupid game, but hey at least you can make your own arena haha!

Ive been getting into Need for Speed World, totally free to play, Of course you can spend real money on there and buy better cars and what not, but the way I see it, its better to earn your wheels, knowhatimean? That and free is kool. Its got some different game modes, theres running from the cops, standard street race, or you can just drive around running over stuff, then theres this daily treasure hunt thing where you got to find these gems, each consecutive day you complete the treasure hunt you get better and better rewards, all in all its pretty kool, especially for FRREE!!! Im currently trying to save up my winning to get a better car, im tired of driving around in a honda hatchback haha.

So, anybody wanna race?

I do, however, have one last lesson on this subject. That last one? The only build in this post that can one-shot average opponents[by dealing twice as much damage as they have HP? I would argue that it is not optimized. Why isn't it optimized? Because it's overkill. Overkill is NOT optimizing. This means that there are portions of this build dedicated to damage which can safely be removed and thrown elsewhere. For example, you probably don't need both Leap Attack AND Headlong Rush at the same time. You could pick up Extra Rage feats for stamina, feats to support AoO effects, feats that work towards potential prestige classes, and so on. However, you could also shift our ability scores around somewhat. I mean, if you're getting results like that with 16 starting Strength, maybe you can lower it to 14, and free up four points to spend somewhere else - perhaps back into Charisma, giving you some oomph for Intimidating Rage or Imperious Command if you want. You can continue to tune this until it deals "enough" damage - and that "enough" does not need to be "100%". It could easily be, say, 80% (leaving the rest to the team), if your DM is the sort who would ban one-hit killers.

Been playing Battlefield 3.

I used to be a COD fan, but now I'm a BF3 convert. The brilliance of BF3's multiplayer astounds me.

However, the single player sucks ***. I wouldn't play through it again (like I have with all the COD campaigns) with a ten-foot pole.

(for the love of bob please no "that's what he said" jokes)
