Shooting through allies and enemies

Noob questions.

You dont get any penalties using ranged attack throug allies, right? But through enemies? Do the enemies behind get concealment or something?
Correct: You can shoot past your allies with no problem, but enemies count as cover, so you have a -2 to hit the evil wizard who is behind his orc mercenary.
Penalty for cover only occur when a creature makes a ranged attack against an enemy target and other enemies are in the way.


RC 220 Creatures and Cover: When creature makes a ranged attack against an enemy target and other enemies are in the way, your target has partial cover. A creature's allies never grant cover to a creature's enemies, and neither allies nor enemies give cover against melee, close, or area attacks.
