3.5 Character Sheet Program

I'm becoming disgruntled with the text-only character sheets I've been using on my other forum and am wondering about the possibility of using a program designed specifically for D&D sheets for my game (3.5, with liberal houseruling).  What are some good programs for this?

As far as the benefit of the rest of Magic is concerned, gold cards in Legends were executed perfectly. They got all the excitement a designer could hope out of a splashy new mechanic without using up any of the valuable design space. Truly amazing. --Aaron Forsythe's Random Card Comment on Kei Takahashi

There aren't that many, actually, because 3.5 is VERY diverse and modular, so not only will the sheets need custom tooling for each new feat (etc), they may need dramatically different layouts for certain ability systems, and those may change over time. ("Great, you just took a level of Incarnate; I need to come up with an entire section on the sheet for incarnum/essentia now, don't I...").

That doesn't mean they're impossible. Many people have written good Excel sheets that autocalc and interpolate as needed (though they tend to charge for them), and i work with XML nodes within OpenRPG for the same reason.

Cancer prognosis: I am now cancer-free.

Seishi: I think it might be fun to have a one-off [game] tuned fairly, but with the intention of wiping the party.

DisposableHero_: if [my campaign] has taught me nothing else, it is that with this group, nothing tuned fairly will ever wipe the party

RadicalTaoist: I've been throwing **** at this group that's 5 levels over CRed in DFN, and have yet to wipe the party.

This is the one I've used for many years.  It can handle a lot of customization -- not every possibility, but a lot, nonetheless.

This one is not free, but when you see what it can do, you'll understand why.
Check out HeroForge:

 http://nzcomputers.net/heroforge/default35.asp

Its a free excel database that is highly versatile, and very customizable.

I second Hero Forge.

It's not perfect, and there are several fetures not yet implimented in the most recent release, but there's a lot of room for customization, and what's in it works great!
