Dungeon Survival Handbook, a Warning!

Greetings.

I just wanted to mention I seen a retailer put the old black cover Dungeon Survival Handbook on their shelf and claim it was the new book. It does indeed have the fourth edition logo on the cover but it doesn't use the art style of 4E. It has a black cover and was one of the final releases for the Revised Third Edition D&D and is not what you want. This book is worthless and can be bought new for like $2 online. It is possible that the retailer received this book from a distributor by accident instead of the new book but it is also likely some retailers will hope you buy it before you look at it so they can get them out of their stockrooms. So beware because I have had a retailer try bait and switch on me.

The real Dungeon Survival Handbook has this cover:

The garbage book has this cover:

Good Gaming.

It's pretty easy to tell the difference. I mean, you look at the cover and width of the book, and you can tell it's different from any 4ed book out there. Take one look inside, and it's clearly not a sourcebook.

I'm leaning towards your shopkeep not knowing D&D well enough, as opposed to trying to pull a fast one on you.
