Class Ideas for a PF/3.5 Gestalt Petal Wizard

It's a pretty simple idea; playing in a game where I have been permitted to play a Petal allowing me to get a concept I've wanted to play for ages out of my head and onto the board.  Fluff-wise, its a chaotic-neutral to neutral-evil Petal who tags along with the party. I intend to make grand use of the Hide skill to avoid being spotted in combat and do most of my work in that way, keeping out of any lines of fire due to being tiny and having an obnoxious hide modifier. The trickery aspect is a huge part of the character.

The game is Pathfinder based but 3.5 material is generally allowed, as are the 3rd party supplements on the PFSRD.

I've been permitted a few things that are notworthy;
The use of a 3rd party feat to allow my bonus spells and save DCs to be triggered off Charisma. Intelligence is still required to be 10+spell level.
The ability to shift all of my LA to one side; freeing me up to not lose caster levels on Wizard.
Domain Wizard.

The game is starting at 5th level. Largely, I have a lot of things done; stats are assigned, and the wizard levels are pretty locked in (After some debating, going Domain Wizard over a specialist and taking Intuitive Wizardry

The problem is, I can't come up to a great example of something appropriate to do on the other side of the gestalt. More than a raw optimization challenge (petal wizard with these features is already quite optimized, I know) this is a post out to see if anyone has any new and interesting ideas as far as something to pair with the wizard side to really flesh out a classically-fey caster who mostly likes to get the milage out of spells like Unluck, Bungle, Unnatural Lust, Stumble Trap, etc; battlefield control fluffed as fey trickery. I'd like to avoid monk, druid, cleric - the character should not go into melee and should remain true to the fluff of being a devious trickster who screws up the enemy. But I think at this point, I'd like to reach out to a larger community for ideas within the 3.5/pf material as far as what to do with this character for all the open levels.  Before I just call it a day and stack templates on it. XD

Wouldn't beguiler work just fine? PHB2, Int-based (although with that feat, it may switch to charisma) spontaneous arcane casting with full knowledge of its list, focusing on illusion and enchantment, with skills and class features that make it play sort of like a rogue, including a host of advantages if it casts on a foe that doesn't know you're there, and those features are fully portable between classes (i.e. nearly all of your beguiler abilities will also modify your wizard spells)?

It's fragile, and doesn't perfectly compliment wizard in general, but in your case...

Seishi: I think it might be fun to have a one-off [game] tuned fairly, but with the intention of wiping the party.

DisposableHero_: if [my campaign] has taught me nothing else, it is that with this group, nothing tuned fairly will ever wipe the party

RadicalTaoist: I've been throwing **** at this group that's 5 levels over CRed in DFN, and have yet to wipe the party.

I'm actually currently considering a wizard//beguiler build, using versatile spellcaster and uncanny forethought together to essentially have the flexibility of a sorcerer with the wizard's spell list.
