This is a set designed jointly by You Make the Card superstars Purple_Shrimp, Oranges, The_Ogre and myself. The idea was to revisit the plane 100 years after the events of the Ravnica novels and fix some of the mechanical problems that I felt were present in the block itself. This set/block aims to expand the usage of the guild mechanics both in quantity and in expanding their applications as well as advancing the minor, enchantments matter theme.

This thread is more of a resource for the four of us to keep our ideas in 1 place, but also for other people to take a peek at what we're working on. It's very much a work in progress, but most cards will at some point make their way into this thread, so keep checking back if you're interested. Feel free to post suggestions for names, wording fixes and your opinions too! We use the pre m10 rules though!

I love ravnika. Many of these are quite cool, but some are a bit odd.

Why does every "Ravnica Revisited" fan set still have the guilds? I guess after 100 years they might have regrouped, but by the end of Dissension they're disbanded. Almost makes me want to make my own. But taking your decision to keep the guilds into account, there are some pretty cool cards here.

I love the Benevolent and Vengeful Spirits, as well as the Orzhova Spectre - haunt always seemed like a huge waste of an opportunity to do something beyond just triggered abilities on-death. And it never really seemed clear whether to haunt your own creatures or your opponent's, and these really lack that confusion.

The blue enchantment is pretty interesting, but it's a pretty powerful tutor enabler. I'm curious why it doesn't give the standard 1CC Transmute cost to them. False Tutor is similarly interesting, but difficult to use, especially once it's part of your hand. You might say "you can't cast spells with that name", but that ruins other cards you might draw later. Consider using "reveal it and put it into your hand revealed. As long as you control False Tutor, that card remains revealed and can't be played."

I don't know what Izzet Chain Lightning is doing, and it seems far too complicated to be a common. I wouldn't even know where to begin rewording it without knowing what you want it to do. Unsummoner's Apprentice is a pretty brilliant common, though.

I like the grafts if able creature. It's cheap and powerful, but counterbalances it by forcing you to graft your opponent's creatures if they cast any. Saproling Summons is interesting, not sure if it should be common or uncommon, but I suppose it's simple enough. Lotus Garden seems pretty good, though. Fair cost for the effect. It's a shame it works against Bloodthirst, though.

Gruul War Cry is very interesting. I'm not totally sure on the pricing, but it feels fair. I'd be a bit more cautious about the Bloodthirst X on the guy above it. I agree with theis999 on the Boros War Cry, very oddly narrow, and having different bonuses for different creatures seems contraindicative of being common. Combustive Cleansing should indicate that Combustive Cleansing deals the damage to the that permanent's owner.

Conclave's Chosen looks like it has a good opportunity to be broken wide open, though if you have more than one convoke spell in your hand. Sowing Seeds is Hide with more opportunity to be used in monocolor. I think I preferred that effect costing . The spell copier needs to indicate that it's copying an instant or sorcery spell, and it's too cheap as is. Frankly, I might suggest upping it to ()() and dropping it to uncommon - copying spells doesn't really get done at uncommon outside of Replicate, but it's an effect that Izzet should have more access to.

I don't see any reason to stick with it, I don't feel that 1C is that powerful.

As soon as False Tutor leaves play you can actually play the named card, so no wording tweaks should be nessecary.

I've already worked on the wording of it to try and simplify it, I've been away from magic for a long time so I'm not as wording-saavy as I was before. Also thanks!

Saproling Summons will likely recieve come kind up update, due to it being very close to another saproling producing card in Ravnica that I can't think of currently. The card it is similar to is a common so I don't see any reason why this card shouldn't be. Lotus Garden wasn't intended to be a guild mechanic, we don't want to force guild decks upon people nessecarily.

The war cries are unlikely to recieve a cost change, if they're too powerful I'd rather weaken them rather than adjust the cost. I am not totally happy with Boros War Cry either, so expect to see some changes. Combustive Cleansing has already been fixed.

We're working on it currently, not sure what we're doing yet, but we're thinking just untapping all the creatures that convoked the spell.

Sowing Seeds is both a green and white ability however, so the hybrid cost fits. The wording on the spell copier has been fixed, and the costing is fine because it doesn't let you change targets like twincast and fork do.

I've updated the cards in the OP to the most recent changes, but mana costs for the first card in an sblock are not appearing.

The cards are not ordered according to collector's number yet, and it is unlikely that will happen until the set is finished because "CARDNAME" messes with card order a lot.

To be honest, I haven't paid any attention to anything related to magic since shards of alara was announced, so I'm just pretending that this set would have been released sometime around the lorwyn/time spiral blocks. My intention wasn't to create a T2 powerhouse either, just to create a counterpart to Muraganda Petroglyphs, that stays in Selesnyan colours.
