Here's the first build I've ever made that comes close to a respectable nova. It's an Avenger PMC Ranger Eternal Seeker Crit-Fisherman. It has 19-20 crits against it's Oath target all the time, and 16-20 crits for 1 round per encounter.

Thanks to ChaosMage for calculating the average nova damage as it stands right now and to AuspeX7 for his Avenger guide.

Rending Urgrosh +6

I know this guy's defenses are terribad, it's a theoretical exercise. The idea here is to use Psychic Surge (16-20 crit range), Oath of Enmity (double roll), Goad of Blood (use an encounter power in place of a basic attack), Archetype's Edge (recharge an encounter power on a crit), Perfect Warrior (on a crit make an MBA against each adjacent enemy), and a Rending Urgrosh (on a crit make an MBA against the same target), with the power Rain of Blows in order to generate infinite attacks.

The first crit generates 2 MBA's (rending, TWO/Perfect Warrior), the first of which would be Rain of blows, and if that didn't crit, then twin-strike would be used for the next one, but each successive crit generates 1 MBA which equates to 3 attacks per crit which hopefully will recur nigh infinitly in a similar way to the Gravedigger build. On each crit Rain of Blows is recharged and can be use on subsequent MBA's. If you bump up his shifts, you can intersperse Storm of Blows with Rain of Blows to kill everything in the encounter though it's less likely that this works due to the lack of OoE on everything else. It's probably safer to Rain of Blows everything to death individually.

I'm looking for help primarily on the feat order, increasing accuracy a tad, and increasing the defenses a bit.

Edit:  nova updated, approximate damage is now correct.
Edit: Added Psionic Shelter to further exploit lots of crits.
Edit: Added an Avenger|Fighter/Ranger PMC Martial Archetype build that may produce an infinite nova at 30.

My House Rules Cryptic Commander: a Tiefling Wizard|Warlord - Arcane Wayfarer - Planeshaper that focuses on controlling every creature in an encounter. Feyknight: A Half-Elf Knight - Gladiator Champion - Marshall of Letherna build that uses Eldritch Strike and the White Lotus Riposte feats to create a decent catch-22 with his mark aura. Novamancer: a Wizard/Swordmage - Malec-Keth Janissary - Radiant One that specializes in area damage, somewhat item dependent but is capable of massive damage. the Epic Crit-Fisher: Avenger/Ranger-PMC-Eternal Seeker with a 2,560 damage crit-fishing nova. Eldritch Slayer: A Slayer - Kulkor - Destined Scion that uses a similar trick to the Knight, combined with Kulkor for some decent DPR. Polearm Seeker|Fighter: A Seeker|Fighter/Psion - Kensei - Destined Scion build that uses Polearm Momentum to not be super bad. Generic Runepriest: A generic type Runepriest/Fighter - Hammer of Vengeance - Destined Scion

Is Enhanced Psychic Surge really worth it once you have Hand of Divine Guidance?  It only gives you a couple rounds of increase crit range and you're going to be criting plenty already, and you're feat starved as is.
Wilder only applies to psionic at will powers...

The Wilder paragon path only ups psionic at-wills; he's using the free power from the theme, Psychic Surge, plus the Enhanced Psychic Surge feat, to up the crit range of all powers to 16-20 for a round.

@Grondag:  His goal is to make as powerful a nova round as possible, and the enhanced crit range is really important for that.  A large amount of the damage is coming from abusing Harmony Blades, which give an extra attack on a crit; the extra attack doesn't cost a free action, so he can generate any number of them, by RAW.  The nova would still be impressive without the extra crit range, but a huge amount is added because of it.
Bump, can someone confirm or deny my hopes at a nigh-infinite damage nova?
