I chose to focus this article on worshippers of the goddess,
Given the recent complaints here and elsewhere about blurring of the lines between the two magazines and who the content is intended for,
Yes, I could write pages on how Avandra interacts with the other gods and her history and what her daily routine is liike and why she travels where she travels, but does that really give the player anything useful to use for his character?
I hope everyone enjoys the article or at least finds something worth inserting into their character or campaign.
There are always opportunities missed (or ignored by choice) and word count is often the culprit. The outline for this article initially included info on Avandra's history and her involvement with some other deities, but those idea got left by the wayside.Plus, these god-god relationships would only be important if a given DM has worshipper-worshipper politics play a significant role in a campaign. As a DM, I tend not to focus on that type of thing, so that may have colored my approach to this article.Regardless, such an article might be useful, but less about Avandra specifically and more about the gods all together. More universally useful, anyway. If you're that interested in the relationships between the gods, pitch an article proposal about just that.

...Runepriests just missed another possibility to get a little sunburn.....I totally agree. Runepriests have the potential to be SO good, and yet for some inexplicable reason are most often ignored. This critisism aside, I very much enjoyed this article and look forward to using some of this at my table.Thank you.
There's a simple reason why they're not more popular: lack of useful support.
There's a simple reason why they're not more popular: lack of useful support. There are two reasons. Lack of useful support and lack of iconic identity. One is the chicken and the other the egg, and we'll never know which is which.
Is there a reason the encounter power for the paragon path is ranged instead of close burst? Most divine characters spend some time in melee and as of now that power provokes OA from adjacent enemies, excepting the enemy who actually triggers it.
