Keraptis: An Archmage Fiery Necromancer

Keraptis is built around the Enigmatic Mage Necromancer level 20 Power Nulathoe's Undead Army.  The entire gist of the build is to impart the fire keyword on all your attacks with a Weapon of Summer, deal extra damage and ongoing damage via Tiefling feat support and Dual Implement Spellcaster, and summon Undead armies at Level 21 and start blowing them up via Vengeful Summoner.  Or if you choose you can have 20 Skeleton Minions roaming around as soon as about level 27 or so.

Enjoy.

Special Thanks: Naussica for her splendiferous Wizard's Handbook.

Sample Level 30 Nova

Minor Action - Time Stop

Time stop Standard/Minor Action - Haste Gain a Standard Action

Ring of Free Time Minor Action - Nulathoe's Undead Army (surround something)

Standard Action - Blackening Pyre - smack down damage and zone, detonate skeletons for 2d10+6 each

Haste Standard/Minor Action -  Nulathoe's Undead Army (surround him again)

Skeletons enter zone - BOOM 2d10+6 for each

Time Stop Standard Action - Shape Magic - regain Nulathoe's Undead Army

Move/Minor Action - Nulathoe's Undead Army (surround him again)

Skeletons enter zone - BOOM 2d10+6 for each

Action Point - Necromancer Action - enemies adjacent gain vulnerability necrotic WIS mod.  I'm not really exploiting this, i know, just throwing it out there.

Action Point Standard Action - Steal Time - stun target gain standard Action

Free Action - Torc of Power Preservation +6 - Regain Nulathoe's Undead Army

Steal Time Standard Action - Nulathoe's Undead Army (surround him again)

Skeletons enter zone - BOOM 2d10+6 for each

so that's essentially 40d10+120 damage.

Also an alternative way to do it (and perhaps more optimized) would be to Throw down non damaging/hindering zones such as Wall of Gloom/Mirage Arcana and just keep your guys around for the 20 minions on battlefield awesomeness all with opportunity attacks.  Every time they smack with an Opportunity attack they will be doing 16 damage.  Epic.
Yeah that power can also be used in a nova action. I can't say if you can make a viable controller out of a pure necromancer, though... It is surely a good blaster, but we need more necrotic support.

Anyway, the combo is really fun, especially with your clever idea with vengeful summoning!

Thanks Naus!  Ya it won't make a great control Wiz, tho Dooming Darkness I thought you would like.  You think It's at least Blue?

In the handbook i rated it blue. It's not so easy to use, since it's basically an unfriendly damaging version of Visions of Avarice. But it's really strong.

(You should take a look to Mirage Arcana, daily 9 :D)

Oh wow ya Mirage Arcana is sweet!  I didn't even notice these new powers in your guide and I was just using it lol.
This bears similarity to another build of yours MC... Wink

Busted!  Ya I need to give you a shout out
Its all good. I just compiled a couple ideas for optimizing damage for Lucid. That being said, I like the similarity, and this one is more optimized for damage over concept. I still need to get/look at HoS though to make more suggestions

Updated some equipment and went for complete Undead Army Freak Out.
Thanks for the shout out, but this was all you. The exploding undead minions into necrotic and fiery goodness= all win. I mean, can you get more badass?

Bumplestilsken.  A little feedback for a road weary MC?
I love the concept, but after looking over the Necromancy Engimatic Mage PP...its rather lackluster on a whole. Once I finish my tiefling mage (who is giving me FITS), and tech's Avenger I'll give this another peruse

my builds
F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter. With some warlord stuff. Broken in a plot way, not a power way.

Thought Switch Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1. If your allies play along, it's broken.

Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation. 5 of these will end anything. Broken.

King Fisher Optimized net user.  Moderate.

Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading.

Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit. Overpowered.

Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square.

Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong.

Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked.

Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic.

Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation.

Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses.

Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat.  One of THE most abusive character in 4e.

Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent.

Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof.

Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it.

Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways.

Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful.

The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken.

Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power.

Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken.

Rune of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered.

Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5.

Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong.

Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight with items, making it far more broken.

Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken.

Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones. Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.
