The Bear Trap: Dwarf Protector Shaman Disciple of Winds

The purpose of this build it to make a shaman whose spirit companion is hard to get away from and who puts out a lot punishment, while being hard to destroy.

This is based around the shaman spear trick I thought up recently: Totemic Spear + Rushing Cleats + Polearm Momentum + hindering shield + Disciple of Winds paragon path.  That means any close/melee offensive primal healing power slides its target 2, slows, and knocks prone.  This includes the shamans opportunity action Spirit's Shield since it is a melee power with the healing keyword that targets an enemy.  I took a few powers like Faces of the fallen and call forth the spirit world to further punish enemies stuck next to spirit.

I threw in mark of storm to make this same slide/prone/slow trick also work with close/melee lightning/thunder powers like spirit of the tempest.

The spirit is hard to get away from since if the shaman ever hits with a close/melee healing or lightning/thunder power the enemy is prone, slowed, and out of position.  It also has powers like engaging pursuit, shielding winds, and drawing all eyes to further keep the enemy occupied and next to the spirit. 

At the same time it is hard to destroy, mainly because of feats, with the shaman taking as many defensive feats I could give it.  Its final defenses are AC 47 Fort 48 Ref 42 Will 48.  He also has spirit companion's shelter which is a +4 to defenses once per encounter if he is hit.  Against large enemies that is 1 higher to ac and reflex with dodge giants and I took shielded resurgence so the second wind bonus will last for two rounds.  I might be able to impove on those with items somewhat and I could get rid of things like iron heart spirit to take scale specialization if really wanted, but I think that is good enough.
