This thread is for discussion of this week's Serious Fun, which goes live Tuesday morning on magicthegathering.com.
This column really needs some editing.

Creature Killers: Grave TitanAnowon, the Ruin SageBane of the Living

Creatures that serve double duty in killing other creatures can break up stalemates and positions where nobody can make a move. Or, in other words, the game gets to keep moving.

Grave Titan doesn't kill creatures.

I leveled a kicked Dismantle at it, but Matt still got his token Dragon.

Dismantle doesn't have kicker.

I showed my Wing Snare to take care of his attackers but James responded with Ghostway to keep his now less sexy 'Volver.

Wing Snare is a sorcery.

He probably meant Dismantling Blow.

Note that Master Warcraft does not really give you control of the combat phase in a multiplayer game.  In particular, you can't choose which player a creature attacks.  If you want guys to attack your opponents, they'll probably come after you, and if you're hoping they'll attack you (vampires?), they're likely to head elsewhere.  You'd often be about as well off with Fog.  (Yes, it took a while for my group to realize that the card doesn't work the way it seems like it could.)

Thanks to everyone who helped with the design of the plane of Golamo in the Great Designer Search 2!

Wurmcoil came back and it was with the greatest of luck that Matt could then cast Decimate targeting:

  • Animate Dead (Enchantment)

  • Merieke Ri Berit (Creature)

  • James's only Island (Land)

  • Nim Deathmantle (Artifact)

After a moment I used Berit to steal Matt's Wurmcoil Engine. He frowned and reread Berit. Wurm tokens for me!

Sorry, that doesn't work.  Matt should have gotten the Wurm tokens, not you.

Merieke Ri Berit - Tap: Gain control of target creature for as long as you control Merieke Ri Berit. When Merieke Ri Berit leaves the battlefield or becomes untapped, destroy that creature. It can't be regenerated.

As Decimate resolves, Merieke Ri Berit is destroyed.  You no longer control Merieke, so the change-of-control effect ends immediately.  By the time the Wurmcoil Engine is destroyed, it is back under Matt's control, and he gets the tokens.
