I wanted to download the free solo adventure, but the link DungeonsandDragons.com/codes only redirects to wizards.com/dnd.  How do I enter the redemption code?

It says on the coupon "available September 7th". Always gotta check the fine print. ;)
So its the 7th, how do we get the adventure?
i have the same problem!!!  Anyone?  Anyone??  Bueller??
It's 7:45 in the WotC offices the day after the long weekend with a chunk of the staff recovering from Pax Prime or DragonCon. Give them some time to get back into the flow of work and catch-up with the pile on their desk.

5 Minute WorkdayMy Webcomic Updated Tue & Thur

The compilation of my Worldbuilding blog series is now available:

Jester David's How-To Guide to Fantasy Worldbuilding.

If you insist, ;).

That's not really a good excuse for not having access to a product you paid for when they said you would. It's not like they actually had to be there to hit a button for it to go live, nor would they be putting it together yesterday. They should have had it ready to go and had the server make it live this morning.
I would compare this to the DDI updates.

They prefer having those go live when there is someone in the office so that *if* things go wrong, it can be corrected rapidly with a minimum of delay.

Do you have some sort of information revealing that sept 7th means 12:01AM 9/7/10?  Sure you are paying for a service, but be realistic.

Play whatever the **** you want. Never Point a loaded party at a plot you are not willing to shoot. Arcane Rhetoric. My Blog.

If they don't post a specific time then I would assume that it would be available at any point on September 7th. The DDI articles go up at 12:01 am on the day they are released, so I would assume that this would be the same thing.
Sorry for the trouble guys!  We actually had the adventures up a few days early, and the links were working fine last week.  I've passed this along to the web team, and they're working on getting the link working correctly again.
Looks like this has been fixed now.  You can pull up the page and download the free red box adventures.
What is the name of the new adventure?  I wonder if there are different adventures withe the codes being random.  Unlikely, but a guy can dream.
CORE MORE, NOT CORE BORE!
I got 'The Ghost Tower of the Witchlight Fens'. Did anyone else get something different?

Nope, I got the same.  Still hope though.
CORE MORE, NOT CORE BORE!
I got the same adventure, appears to be part of the next upcoming Dungeon.  Disappointed, really thought we'd get something all our own.  No worries, still plays.

I did however read it, and I love you Wizards, but someone really has to check things first.

PDF page 3, adventure page 3:

"Go to Tactical Encounter 1: Kobold Bandits on page 15."

Er, so page 15 (PDF page 15) is "Encounter 2: Undead Rise"

This was also an issue with the red box, pictures showed one thing, the text said another.

I gave this to my 3 kids to test run before I run a "intro to D&D 4E" at the LFGS on the 18th, and they had issues following the steps.

"The turning of the tide always begins with one soldier's decision to head back into the fray"

The adventure in Dungeon is a continuation of the Dungeon Master's Book adventure and the free adventure.

Ug it ate my reply the first time.

Anyway, you are correct, I saw how the adventures were links.  What I meant is, the free adventure is also part of Dungeon 182, September 2010.  If you buy the red box and DON'T have a DDI subscription, you get a free advanture.  If you don't buy the red box but HAVE a DDI subscription, looks like you'll get the adventure as well.  Not a big issue, I have both, but still would be nice to make the free adventure exclusive to the box is all I was saying.

The paper with the code also has the URL to enter into your browser.

Looks like the free adventure from Red Box is "Ghost Tower of the Witchlight Fens" and the new Dungeon adventure is "The Dungeon of the Ghost Tower."

While both have the same month, year and issue on the bottom, I cannot find the Red Box version in the article list for issue 182.  Additionally the Red Box redeemable one is a solo adventure and the Dungeon version seems to be a sequel for five 2nd-level characters. So it does look like there is a special treat for those of us that have DDI subscriptions and have purchased the Red Box.

I just bought the Red Box, but the url does not seem to work anymore. Says it should be valid till 12/31/11. Any Ideas?

Cheers, Xin

Worked for me.  At the top of the page, in what would normally be the rotating banner, is a box to put the code in.

Thanks for reminding me though.  I bought mine a couple months ago and forgot about the free adventure.
