Music, Soundtracks, Mood etc. Which songs make you feel epic?

I saw there was another thread a bit down, but i wasn't to impede on someone elses thread when my question is a bit different.

Basically we all have some favourite song from movies, games etc. I've been looking around for music that makes you feel just a tiny bit epic inside, especially since my 3.5 ed campaign is coming to it's conclusion. Level 24 i might add :P. And i want to end it of with a bit of music.

I've used music in my sessions before and found it inspirational and epic. Anyways, what is your favourite tracks for certain situations etc? If you mention a soundtrack in it's entirety please do tell which tracks you like for certain scenes etc.

Some of my favourites

Buffy The Vampire Slayer OST - The Final Fight : Typical battle music really, with a really epic tune to it, it's easily the best song on that OST, perhaps one of the only good infact, but wow this is a GRAND epic fighting tune.

X Men Origins Soundtrack - Logan Through Time : Epic Chase Music, it's from the start of X Men Origins, and man does it make a chase epic ;D.

Gears of War Soundtrack - Jacinto Prison : More of a sneaking around track, especially around some sort of a military compound of sorts. Prisons, Military offices, before assasinating someone important i suppose.

So once again, tell us of your favourite soundtracks, and perhaps some of the tracks you find inspirational.
Steve Jablonsky - the soundtracks to Transformers and Transformers 2.  They're the one shining jewel that Michael Bay couldn't ruin for me.  My game would not be the same without these songs.  Here are some of my favorite tracks:

TF - Arrival to Earth, Autobots, Bumblebee, You're a Soldier Now
TF2 - Forest Battle, The Shard, Nest

I also use asst. other epic music.  Final Fight from BVS is one of my favorites, as is a track called Ghost Love Score by Nightwish.
Got to Agree that the Transformers Soundtracks where incredible. When Arrival to Earth came on in the movie i was like. Wow this movie is awesome. Then i came back to reality and understood. The Music is epic, the movies just fine :P.

Found an epic track this day actually in an anime called Sword of the Stranger (good anime to, one to watch indeed). Song is called::: Ihojin No Yaiba

It's a battle theme in the movie, and i'd say it's a good theme for a battle as long as it's an important one where an important NPC dies or such.
Ok finally have a place to put this

pc rock

Ona  side note and ontopic- I tend to place theme songs, more than overall theme. Music setting if I do one is somethign like apocalyptica - instrumental only. Battle for Honor and Humanity form Kill Bill is a good one too.

Funny story: InQuest Magazine (I think it was InQuest) had an oversized Chaos Orb which I totally rooked someone into allowing into a (non-sanctioned) game. I had a proxy card that was a Mountain with "Chaos Orb" written on it. When I played it, my opponent cried foul: Him: "WTF? a Proxy? no-one said anything about Proxies. Do you even own an actual Chaos Orb?" Me: "Yes, but I thought it would be better to use a Proxy." Him: "No way. If you're going to put a Chaos Orb in your deck you have to use your actual Chaos Orb." Me: "*Sigh*. Okay." I pulled out this huge Chaos Orb and placed it on the table. He tried to cry foul again but everyone else said he insisted I use my actual Chaos Orb and that was my actual Chaos Orb. I used it, flipped it and wiped most of his board. Unsurprisingly, that only worked once and only because everyone present thought it was hilarious.

Hi guys! So, I'm a sort of returning player to Magic. I say sort of because as a child I had two main TCG's I liked. Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon. Some of my friends branched off in to Magic, and I bought two pre-made decks just to kind of fit in. Like I said, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were what I really knew how to play. I have a extensive knowledge of deck building in those two TCG's. However, as far as Magic is concerned, I only ever used those two pre made decks. I know how the game is played, and I know general things, but now I want to get in the game for real. I want to begin playing it as a regular. My question is, are all cards ever released from the time of the inception of this game until present day fair game in a deck? Or are there special rules? Are some cards forbidden or restricted? Thanks guys, and I will gladly accept ANY help lol.
I have the same problem with women.

See, this is why RPJesus should be in charge of the storyline. The novel line would never have been cancelled if he had been running the show. Specifically the Slobad and Geth's Head talkshow he just described.

I condone the use of the word Kafkaesque. However, I'm presentely ambivalent. I mean, that can't be serious, right? We're April 1st, right? They didn't mod RPJesus for off-topic discussion when the WHOLE THREAD IS OFF-TOPIC, right? Right.

That's what RPJesus tends to do. That's why I don't think he's a real person, but some Magic Card Archive Server sort of machine, that is programmed to react to other posters' comments with obscure cards that do in fact exist, but somehow missed by even the most experienced Magic players. And then come up with strange combos with said cards. All of that is impossible for a normal human to do given the amount of time he does it and how often he does it. He/It got me with Light of Sanction, which prompted me to go to RQ&A to try and find if it was even possible to do combat damage to a creature I control (in light that Mark of Asylum exists).

Blue players get all the overpowerered cards like JTMS. I think it's time that wizards gave something to people who remember what magic is really about: creatures.
Initially yes, Wizards was married to blue. However, about a decade ago they had a nasty divorce, and a few years after that they began courting the attention of Green. Then in Worldwake they had a nasty affair with their ex, but as of Innistrad, things seem to have gotten back on track, and Wizards has even proposed.
You are my favorite. Yes you. And moments like this make it so. Thank you RPJesus for just being you.

10/10. Amazing.
One word:

Stick a couple of albums on repeat and away you go.
Most of the Dr Who 06/07 Soundtrack. Especially Doomsday.

We used tracks from Immediate Music and Two Steps from Hell for our campaign:

Immediate Music:

Def Con

Liberty Shield

Two Steps from Hell:

Sons of War

Just a view samples, for Tavern settings, we use melodic songs from bands like Blind Guardian or celtic music Smile

Mai Hime - Mezame / Awakening
Tales of Symphonia - Like a Glint of Light
The Deletion of Hatsune Miku
FFVI - The Decisive Battle
Trauma Center, Under the Knife - Savior's Forthcoming
Chrono Trigger - Frog's Theme

I also do the video game music since most of my players are heavily into them so the songs are easily recognizable.  To that end I prefer using songs from OCRemix, they're like 100x better than the originals since the artists are extremely skilled.

Some of my favorites include:

Of Sea and Fire, a Xenogears remix by Ziwtra - one of the best pirate/drunken bar music
Death on the Snowfield, a FF6 remix by AmIEviL - awesome sad event/ominous tale song
Yggdrasil Speaks to ME, a Valkyrie Profile remix by Meteo Xavier - background music to whenever I'm using an NPC to narrate a story about the past etc.
Aqueous Transgression, a Chrono Trigger remix by Audix - epic dungeon music

I could go on forever, but those are some of my absolute favorites.  You can pretty much pick up any "boss" theme you could want too, and I usually try to tailor the song to the encounter in question.

Lately I've been using the Halo 3: ODST soundtrack for generic battle music (the soundtrack itself is absolutely phenomenal).  Especially Neon Night which I use for world travelling music to instill feelings of loneliness but peace at the same time.

Requiem for a Tower, that is all you need. Its the symphonic version of Requiem for a Dream and is simply fantastic.
