It's huge. It's kind of slow, but it works, mostly. May I present my character sheet [links below]


I want you to tell me every mistake I've made, and if you're a better programmer than me, why not try and tidy up that code. I stole a few ideas (and parts of images) from other character sheets around here. Thanks to everyone else who made this possible. Now, criticise!

Hey, guys, let me give you the lowdown.

I've been working hard on the sheet over the past few weeks, trying to make it more user-friendly as well as updating it with the new material. I think that I've made big improvements in a lot of areas, but with the big changes are bound to come a whole Huttload of bugs.

Coincidentally, I have exams coming up in the next two weeks. It's strange to think that I started this sheet before starting uni, and these are my third year exams (and if they go well, I get to go to Harvard next year! Laughing). The downside of that is that I won't have time to work on the sheet, which also means that I haven't updated a lot of the little bugs that you guys have mentioned over the past few pages. The upside is that while I'm away, you can delve deeply into the sheet and tear it up, giving me lots of fun new work after I've finished my exams (and the subsequent celebrations).

There isn't import/export support at the moment. I'm considering moving in a whole new direction for that function - importing from the statblock format that the sheet produces. Ambitious, perhaps, but it would hopefully make the sheet a lot more cross-compatible with other products. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this sort of thing.

So, what I'm giving you is edition 1.4, and it is essentially beta. 1.41 (and probably 1.42) will hopefully be more stable (and probably slightly sleeker). I'll leave the link up for the older version.

I hope you guys understand my decision here. I'm doing this out of my own free time, and sometimes that free time just isn't there.

It has only been updated by the users. Neither Kenad Broki nor velrahnkoon have provided an update with the fixes that have been presented on this thread. You will have to update the fixes in the sheet yourself.
Is there any way to fix the Knowledge Skills? It always only shows Bureaucracy and Galactic Lore, so my knowledge tactics is never on the sheet.

Just change the Knowledge skills in the "development" part of the sheet. I do it all the time, because I use a lot more Knowledge specialties than just the half-dozen SECR ones.
That's because Saxton has absolutely no idea what he's talking about and is more interested in canonizing his own ridiculous ideas about Star Wars then actually giving a realistic set of data, or at least trying to stay true to the source. And he's got his crowd of fans blowing his ego and promoting his work as if it actually were decent or passable in Star Wars fiction. I've got a couple of questions.

First I'm using v1.146 unedited and I don't trust myself to mess with the code.

I did a nonheroic3/noble2 Twi'lek and I the Stat block page is blank and says 'add some levels'. Is there an entry I might have done wrong?

Is there a location you can add bonus ability points (from destines fulfilled)? I cannot find it.

I notice that in many places even when an item is shaded out you can put an entry in and get it to work. (I kind of like this as it gives you the strong reminder not to do it but if the GM has a reason to circumvent it the choice can be made.)

Captain Griffin - it almost sounds like your macro's aren't turned on. Are items autofilling - greying out that sort of thing?
I'm not good with messing with code, but has anyone else had the Controlled Burst talent under Elite Trooper not work in the sheet? Any fix out there?

is anyone else having problems with the ship.shipdetails. Whenever I try to opem up anything ship related after adding the stats for a custom ship I keep getting an error with that.

Yeah sorry guys I've been teaching summer school, and I don't have time to breathe, let alone update the sheet. I'll try to see if there's anything on the website list of bugs that I can work on this weekend, but I can't promise anything. I'll do my best!

I will try and update it with a list of current known issues by Friday.
I have been of zero help for awhile! Unfortunately, I've reached the limit of my excel expertise. I'm not good with code, so I'm afraid I won't be of much help. I'll continue to plug away and see if can't make any headway on some of these things. I won't make any promises though!

Hey guys I think I found another slight need in the sheet with the tech specialist feat a PC or NPC could work on some weapon and add a plus to the weapon, but since the attack tab option does not have a question or drop down tab to the weapon area for the tech specialist to add their stuff to the weapon. Do you think we can add this to the stuff on the website for things to be improved?

Gotta say, this character generator is soooooooooo handy. But i too know nothing what so ever about excel, so once all these bugs are fixed, would someone be kind enough to host the correct file please.

I don't know if it's been brought up already, but the Kushiban are supposed to be tiny-size, not small-sized.

BTW I really like this spreadsheet... It is a little slow to save but I've been using it a lot to make NPCs and stuff and I like it. I'm using it in Excel 2007 in Windows Vista...

I'm not doing anything special - just hitting save as: and making a file name. it takes a good like 40-50 seconds to save tho.
I have found another issue. The character sheet still calculates the UtF skill even if the player has not taken the feat need for it.

me too - i just leave out another trained skill if i have too many or remove utf if not a force user
I am not talking about trained skills here that is fine, what I am talking about is either sheet you print out has base number like you can use the UtF skill untrained and without the feat and that is flat wrong. The feat is a requirement before the players should see any numbers in that column

On the armor sheet, if I select "4 Flight suit, armored (L)" I get an error on the stat block sheet.
There should be a custom slot for armor so you can just enter stats into it and have them show up on the sheets.

Arknight that is fine. Just be sure to give credit too the people that have been helping with this project. I am not sure but early in the thread I think Kenad said it was okay.

Hi Folks,

this sheet is indeed great and i call it a generator. It is so easy to play with the option saga offers.

But unfortunately i have found some bugs:

1) The armour calculation for Ref-Def is wrong if you have the Talents Armored Defense, Improved Armor Defense and Attune Armour.

2) I have found no possibility to increase the damage for a weapon if you have the attune weapon talent.

It would be nice if these two options are manualy adjustable by the player.
